Mike Barlow Motorcycle Training

Fantastic experience: I would absolutely recommend Mike if you are looking to gain your full motorbike license, the training is constructed in a calm, calculated way and he is very accommodating for booking lessons. You get a decent amount of slow riding practice and mock MOD1 tests which are extremely helpful. The bikes are well maintained and run very well. If you book with Mike I am sure he will get you passed and on the road in no time!! Thanks again Mike.

Fantastic experience: Mike is a very patient and calm instructor who teaches by carefully watching you ride and helping you to fine-tune your riding until it is of or beyond test standard. He clearly knows exactly what he is doing as he helped me to pass my mod1 and mod2 first time, and knew exactly when to suggest that I take each one. At times it felt a bit frustrating as there are so many things to do at the same time and my coordination is not great, but Mike was always patient despite my many errors. Having now done a 200mi cross-country journey independently following my pass, I realize that Mike equipped me very well to ride safely in many situations and road conditions. Thank you Mike!

Fantastic experience: I just passed my motorcycle test, and I owe it all to Mike! I started out as a complete novice less than 8 weeks ago — I had never riden a bike before — and Mike made the whole learning process super easy and fun. He’s patient, super knowledgeable, and has this way of breaking things down so they make sense. From the first lesson I felt totally comfortable. He explained everything step by step, from the basics of handling the bike to more advanced stuff like cornering and emergency stops. Every time I made a mistake, he didn’t get frustrated; instead, he used it as a chance to teach me the right way to fix it, which made all the difference. Mike was also really great at giving me feedback that was constructive and not overwhelming. He’d point out what I was doing well, and then help me work on areas where I was struggling — without making me feel bad about it. By the time my Mod 2 test rolled around I felt completely prepared and I passed with flying colors! Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests passed within the block of lessons provided, even had a session to spare Mike was so good! If you’re a beginner and want someone who genuinely cares about your progress and your safety, Mike’s your guy.

Fantastic experience: I've been able to pass my mod 1+2 (first time) following my 6th session with Mike. He sets the expectations for his programme of training/teaching and works with a lot of flexibility to accommodate working hours. You will get dedicated instruction and coaching, he was patient and clear with his explanations, calm with giving feedback on improvements in my riding.
