Negative experience: Now closed, out of business.

Negative experience: mess me about I book a service with them for 04/10/24 a friday. I call the day before to comfirm everything on track. on the 4th I turn up for first service to drop my bike off. there was a notice on the door, saying sorry we are closed for stock take. there was also 2 others bikers outside waiting we all call thunder road multiple times no one answered. so piss off got a 1000 miles on the cloak because of them. I book in with a local bike shop now because it cheaper and I don't like being messed around like that. if anything they owe me fuel and lost of a day off from work.

Positive experience: Called in looked shut.Now today seems I was right.Pity for the staff,hope things work out,best wishes.

Negative experience: Disappointed in this dealer. My Wife and I called in recently and made an impulse purchase and we're really pleased with the bike. The sales experience was pleasant at the time and we came away happy. However, I rang to book the first service and apart from the limited availability and being informed I'd need to leave the bike all day I was quoted £220! I questioned this because it's just a Honda Grom. I then rang Thunder Road Bridgend and was quoted £99 flat rate for the same service, a sooner date and I'd only have to wait 1.5 Hrs.(also Honda dealership). I rang Thunder Road Cwmbran back to explain and give them the opportunity to price match but they didn't want to know. Very poor after sales service and it reminded me why I avoid these dealerships like the plague. Just makes me think it's all about the sales figures and the money.

Fantastic experience: We popped in to look for a helmet. I had my head measured and tried one or two on. We ended up buying the first one. The customer service was excellent. We sat on a bench outside for a while before leaving. I would definitely recommend.

She knew exactly when we were ready for her and was brilliant at helping me shop within my budget while still receiving aesthetically pleasing gear but at the same time safety rated. Very friendly and approachable. If I had got her name I'd mention it

Negative experience: Called in for a bike deal and never received a return phone call. Don't want my money, that's fine, there's plenty of company's out there who do. I won't be visiting again!!

Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I turned up without a booking and asked if there was any availability for my moped to be fitted with a new tyre, one of the staff members came and took a look at my moped wheel and then checked their stock inventory. They were able to supply and fit my moped with a new tyre on site and it was ready the following day. Considering this was unexpected/not booked in advance I was quickly taken care of, the speed from start to end was excellent, and the customer service was really good. This store and its ream areclearly well established as they knew how to address my need as a customer within the first visit. The showroom, shop and bikes were in immaculate condition, everything was labelled and kept to a high standard . This was my first time at this store, so my expectations were exceeded and I will be using this store as my first point of call for all future needs for my moped. I will most definitely will be looking to purchase a new bike from here in the future given the experience and quality workmanship I seen at this store. Staff: friendly, polite, helpful, customer focused, efficient Store: well maintained, high level of standards, full stocked, everything labelled for purchasing ease, well proportion layout Stock: large range of stock, well maintained, superb quality, genuine parts, excellent stock availability.

Fantastic experience: Thunder road are fantastic, enquired about an xt1200z and spoke with Lee over the phone. He sent me some very detailed pictures to show the quality of the bike. Popped over the next day to see the bike in person and to meet Lee. He went into great detail about the bike and let me sit and test the weight of the bike etc. not pushy at all and was happy to answer any questions I had. Loved the bike and bought it the same day, the bike was delivered to me a week later. The delivery driver went through all the paperwork, keys, new owner slip upon delivery and was happy to go through the controls of the bike again. Fantastic service by Thunder road from start to end. Will certainly be returning when I’m looking to upgrade.

Fantastic experience: Great place for bikes and bike gear. The staff working when I was there were very knowledgeable without being pushy. I got to try on loads of helmets, they had a wide range in a variety of sizes and the prices were good too, matched to what I could've got on the internet.

Positive experience: It's a motorbike sales showroom. Plenty of models to look at. With permission from the staff they will assist you with sitting on the machine/machines and talk you through the pro's and even discuss any issues to try and find a solution. I'e the africa twin was far too tall for me when I sat on it. So the staff member went off to get me a lower seat. Which helped. I enjoy visiting to find any deals. Great access tho not really suitable for the wheelchair user. You probably can get around but it needs care as it is quite tight in places. Especially if you are after clothing helmets or other accessories. Staff do try to be helpful.

Negative experience: Having already bought a bike here I did not have a bad experience on that front. However I just went to the dealership this passed weekend. £10k in cash ready to buy a bike. Drove there off the back of a sms sent to me for the new hornet. Arrived, and.... no bike to test drive. Maybe a miscommunication fair enough, it happens. OK, well I had my eye on an indian FTR as well or possibly a very nice pre-owned bike I spotted, so no fret Ill test drive one of the 3 demonstrator bikes they have with massive signs on them to lure you in. Nope, sorry sir you have to book a test ride. Why? they are literally standing outside right now with signs on them ready to go. Its policy. Ok then book me in now ill drive it in 30 minutes if you have to prepare it. Nope, must be a week in advance. Ok then, can I test ride that Kawasaki over there. Nope, we dont allow test rides on pre-owned bikes. This place is a joke, its like they have forgotten who their target market is and how bikers purchase bikes. I walk outside and have a chat with 3 other bikers. All three share the same story and we all four left not having purchased a bike. Tally Ho, off to CMC motorcycles and Fowlers I go.

Fantastic experience: I am an occupational therapist and work with patients who have dementia and acquired brain injuries. Motorcycles are very important and meaningful for a lot of our patients so we make regular trips to Thunder Road. The staff are friendly , approachable and engage really well with our patients . This review is huge thank you to them for bringing meaning and connection into our patients' lives and for being so welcoming and inclusive as a service. The bikes are also in fantastic condition and very reasonably priced in comparison to other bike shops we have visited. Massive thank you again and very impressed with the whole set up and service .

Negative experience: Should be renamed plunder road. They should have eye patches and a parrot on their shoulder. They will steal any little wealth you have left. Will never go there for a service again. Bunch of pirates.

Fantastic experience: Hi, I bought my Kawasaki Versys 1000 from you guys and I absolutely love it, even on the short ride home from your showroom to Newport. My salesman was Lee, and he couldn’t have done anymore than he did to assist me with the paperwork for the part ex and finance of the bike, explaining everything that needed explaining or showing. In fact my dealing with Thunder Road Cwmbran was nothing short of fantastic, from the min I walked in the showroom door to the collection of my much loved Kawasaki Versys 1000, I shall be back for servicing in the future

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing customer service from the wonderful Lee from start to finish. I needed a new 125 (or equivalent) scooter and could not get one anywhere, my husband phoned thunder road and luckily enough they had a few there. We went up last Saturday and I fell in love with the Honda Vision 110. With a lot of very professional communication just under a week later I rode the bike away. I would just like to thank Lee for his professionalism and friendliness, thank you so much. Such a smooth transition from start to finish. I would without a doubt recommend Thunder Road to anyone

Positive experience: Not only in past thunder road Cwmbran have kept me on the road,but again they've gone bit further to keep me running.a part needed to repair my bike hasn't turned up by delivery,honda have taken this part from a show room bike to be able to fit to my bike to get me up and running as I am on call with my job and need my wheels. Fantastic experience: Im very satisfied with thunder road motorcycles, its not 1st time i buy a used motorcycle from a honda dealership but its the 1st time they actually serviced the bike before delivering it to me, usually the dealerships say they service but they dont, finally i found a dealership i can thrust, Thunder road motorcycles has my stamp of approval and ill be back in the future when i change bike again.

Ian dealt with the sale, everything I asked for was taken care of and I was kept up to date with progress of my order. Lee supplied me with a V&H exhaust and an Indian branded helmet. Delivery was taken care of by JP, arrived in perfect condition and bang on time. A great team to deal with, friendly customer service and an excellent range of bikes to choose from. A highly recommended company that I will definitely be returning to!!

Positive experience: Very mixed experience with my visit today , initially went to the parts desk and the gentleman was very helpful in helping me source a part that I was after ..I then went over with my son to look at getting him a new helmet, was there ages looking and trying different helmets but not 1 sales person came over to see if we needed assistance, another gentleman walked in all dressed in full leathers ect looking at helmets and straight away he had a sales person assisting him , so we decided to leave with out purchasing the shark helmet my son had chosen

Fantastic experience: Having a hankering for a Honda Monkey 125, I called Cwmbran Thunder Road after being messed around by another honda dealer. Mel on the sales was brilliant, even did a couple of walk-around videos of couple of said bikes for me. Throughout every step of the purchase the team were nothing short of brilliant, keeping me informed about stuff. Also, a big thank you to JP (delivery driver), top fella! Fantastic experience: Great customer service and large selection of leathers at reasonable prices

Negative experience: Really interested in a second hand bike today however the £500 deposit before being able to do a test ride put us off. It's cheaper to have a bike delivered from London to Bristol, and pay the delivery costs both ways if the bike isn't suitable following rest ride. Sorry Thunder Road you lost a sale today!

Fantastic experience: First time of buying from Thunder road and very pleased. Initially started deal over the phone with Mel and then went on to deal with Richard. Bit disappointed with part ex valuation but guess we have to realise that a business needs to make a profit to survive and the bike that l purchased was reasonably priced compared to others for sale elsewhere. I rode from Devon to do the changeover and was treated very well. There was a slight hiccup with a missing key, which l discovered when l got home. Mel followed this up for me and l am now reunited with the missing key. All in all a good experience and l would buy again from here.

Fantastic experience: I am delighted to say that I had a very positive experience buying my new Honda 750 here. Mel Richards was brilliant and made me feel confident after not riding for a number of years. Very much a can do attitude, brilliant. All of the staff have been great, we came back to have heated grips fitted and some other accessories in the clothing department. Again excellent service. Fantastic experience: My bike was serviced and MOT'd whilst I waited. Staff couldn't have been more helpful - the job card was waiting for me and the mechanics got started right away - authentic Ducatti parts were used and excess oil was offered to me to takeaway which I thought was great. Wouldn't take my bike anywhere else for services and MOT's now. Thanks Thunder Road :-)

Negative experience: Very unhelpful, whole point of going to a shop and paying extra rather then going on online is to have a well trained and experienced staff to share there knowledge help you buy the right product, seem insanely clickie or there just don't like customers, so I went to cmc Motorcycles in Newport, far superior customer care was a pleasure to buy and hear there knowledge of the product

Fantastic experience: Had an issue with my bike following a service. Turned out that due to my battery being on low voltage the stop start turned itself off. They advised what was needed and put me through to accessories so I could order what I needed.

Negative experience: Bought a cbr650f here, absolutely no problem with the sales team, they were excellent, chopped in my shadow and they got the new bike to me quickly. My problem was the condition of the bike. I didn't like the tyres as a preference but also they were worn quite flat in the centre so were not good to ride on, so decided to get a new set. Being a mechanic I removed the wheels myself and found the rear caliper was loose! Also only one of the heated grips worked that were sold with the bike, and the chain was slack and dry. I reported all of this and a new grip was said to be sorted but I've heard nothing back and now I'm not getting any replies. I would never get a bike serviced or looked at here, as they seem to have inexperienced techs. Shame really as the beginning experience was excellent.

Fantastic experience: I have bought 2 bikes from here and can't fault it. Mel is brilliant and keeps you updated on regular basis when you have a bike on order. An excellent handover of the bike and great service from Richard. I wouldn't buy a bike from anywhere else. Can't fault it. Thank you guys

Fantastic experience: I bought both my bikes from Thunder Road. I cannot fault the service or pricing. Took my CBF in for a service today and an MOT. Work carried out efficiently and costs were very reasonable. Just a shame I took the wife or there would be a VFR1200 in my garage.

Staff were brilliant, no sales pressure, answered all my questions and left me to decide. Special mention has to go to Mel for her knowledge and wisdom. Even better were the free coffee’s.
