Fantastic experience: The whole team at bike train wales are top notch including the lovely well mannered chatty receptionist . I most recently past my DAS test and before that my CBT course with BTW ( bike train wales ) their tuition is second to none they are very clear with there vast knowledge and real life experiences teaching and will guide you correctly and confidently through every single process of the training you'll need to be successful with a cuppa and a cheeky biscuit on the side . Nothing is a problem or a task as i was told one of the instructors lent his own gear to help a student on his test because of a kit malfunction which says it all doesnt it .. This was something i wished i done years ago but am happy i done it through bike train wales ( BTW ) Thank you bike wales keep doing what your doing showing us how great riding bikes are .

Fantastic experience: Biketrain Wales are clearly the best motorcycle school in the area. Full size class room with knowledgeable friendly instructors. Has proper facilities with running water and a large training yard with a safe grippy surface. My instructor could clearly see I was nervous and followed behind on my test, my test felt like a group ride with the boys. Thank you to all at Bike Train wales for helping me pass my test

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my mod 2 today with bike train wales and i have nothing but good too say about these guys i was under tuition of julian and ju. Ju guiding me through my mod 1 and now julian guiding me through my mod 2. Passing mod 2 with zero rider faults. These guys have been nothing but helpull and encouraging guiding me from cbt right to the end. If your thinking about doing your DAS course do it with these guys you wont regret it. Fantastic experience: I want to thank the guys at Biketrain Wales (Jim and Kris) for getting me through the CBT. The day was not kind in respect of the weather (the rain just didnt stop!) and my nerves were shot before even beginning! - they really had their work cut out with me! They were so very patient and offered a huge amount of support and guidance to help me make the right decisions throughout the day. The knowledge they shared was immense and they imparted it with ease - they really are expert in their field - I thoroughly enjoyed listening and learning. Fantastic experience: As a woman of 50+ I can vouch for Biketrain Wales. I had never driven a motorbike in my life and they took me through the New Rider Course and CBT. The two instructors I had (Simon & Julian) were clear and patient. They supported my wobbles and gave me the confidence I needed. I am so glad I followed the recommendation and had the New Rider 1:1 lessons before the CBT. I would have struggled if I hadn’t. The set up is easy to find and met the needs of the training. Highly recommend and will be returning once I am ready for my full bike license.

Fantastic experience: Biketrain Wales is absolutely fantastic. As a very short, completely novice, middle-aged lady they couldn't have been more supportive, patient, accommodating, understanding and sooo helpful. They really couldn't have done more to help me feel welcome, increase my confidence and riding skills right from my CBT though to today where I passed my Mod2! They have a couple of lowered bikes which have been great. The last leg of my training was tricky for me, and a few mistakes were made but the team stayed by my side and believed in me, and it paid off. Fantastic experience: Had a thoroughly enjoyable day at Biketrain Wales today, being instructed by Julian and Sarah. It was my third time doing CBT. Whilst my other experiences have been fine they sometimes felt like a formality, whereas with Biketrain Wales, there was very much an emphasis on safe riding, the CBT didn’t feel like a foregone conclusion. We were a mixed ability/experience group of 4 and the instructors took time to ensure that nobody was left behind and that everybody was ready and comfortable to progress to the next stage. By the time the road ride came around we were well prepared and it felt like a pleasant ride out, whilst still maintaining the emphasis on safety and competency. All of us passed, and all of us enjoyed it!

Fantastic experience: I received CBT training with Mark & Sarah August 2022 and returned June 2023 for Direct Access training and subsequent Module 1 Pass with Julian. On both occasions the instructors were clear in their instructions and advice and the experience was enjoyable and informative. Fantastic experience: Just had NEW RIDER TRAINING at Biketrain Wales. Tremendous one to one training with an exceptional instructor called Mark. This course is great to get your confidence riding a motorbike before you take your CBT course. Friendly, very professional instructor, really puts you at ease . Makes the course really enjoyable. Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT today 04/23. We met Jim on arrival who took us through the first phase. He was a great guy who had lots of patience and was really helpful and thorough throughout the course. Sarah then joined us a little later on who again was brilliant and helped us as much as possible. Once the on site training was finished, Sarah followed us out on the road. She communicated with us at all times which was really helpful and although I felt a little nervous this really did help. We stopped along the route several times where she gave us further guidance where we was going wrong. Both instructors were amazing and I’ll definitely be going back to complete my bigger bike training with them.

Fantastic experience: My brother and I have recently done our full licences through Bike Train Wales. The entire service was absolutely faultless from start to finish. We had the pleasure of dealing with Jess for all admin and bookings and Jess couldn't do enough for us. As my brother and I were doing it together, Jess went through every effort to ensure our training and tests were done together, too. Thanks to the amazing instructors, we both passed MOD 1 first time. Although our MOD 2 tests were cancelled due to the snow, Jess found replacement slots for us both straight away and, again thanks to the awesome instructors, we both passed the MOD 2 first time as well. The whole team went above and beyond to ensure the best experience during our time with Bike Train Wales. I'd like to extend an extra special thanks to Jess. Fantastic experience: Can’t fault the staff very professional and yet able to adapt to anyone that might have a slight problem or needs further help. The training is easy to follow with all the pad work and with the Road instructions through the radio very clear. Ten out of ten for the course, would recommend biktrain wales to everyone.

All of the Instructors I met could not have been more helpful, no question is too silly, and always take the time to explain everything in depth with great clarity. Fantastic experience: Its been 9 years since undertaking my last CBT, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The team at Bike Train Wales made the booking process stress free, Jess very kindly accommodated my specific request for a small twist and go so my feet could reach the ground! I was emailed full joining instructions of what to bring, reminded to refresh myself on the Highway Code and I had contact by way of text message with Jess for any queries leading up to the day. The CBT training itself was great, a full on day’s mix of classroom teaching, training ground practice and road riding learning with audio feedback from the instructor, the trainers were engaging, friendly, patient and safety first all the way. I highly recommend Biketrain Wales, thankfully with their patience and training, they rebuilt my confidence on a bike and I was signed off road safe and ready with my CBT certificate issued that same day.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend these guys. I did my CBT with Sarah and Mark and had a great experience. They're so patient and made me feel comfortable and confident. I did a 7 hour training day that included a 2 hour ride at the end, I then went back and did an extra hour one to one with Sarah.

Fantastic experience: After years of wanting to gain a full motorbike licence, I contacted Bike Train Wales (Cwmbran) in order to do my CBT back in the summer of 2021 to which I completed CBT in Sept 2021. Due to how well the instructors were during the CBT and the training and bikes provided. I continued to progress on to Direct Access (DAS). To which Julian (instructor) provided me with all the knowledge and know how not just to pass the test but how to become a safer and more confident rider and I gained first time passes on both MOD 1 and MOD 2 of the DAS. I 110% recommend all at Bike Train Wales. The office staff were always helpful and clear of what was needed and all the instructors were easy to get along with and brilliant with all aspects of training. Negative experience: If you know how to ride they're great. However, instead of being patient with the geared bikes they pressure you to go on an automatic. The instructors are lovley. However, it wasn't the best experience. They alse said they'd contact me when I could book again and I've had no communication from them. However, I have now passed my cbt somewhere else, on a geared bike and I'm enjoying riding.

Positive experience: new riders most likely be rushed and told to hurry as ‘short on time’ and be encouraged to use an automatic instead of being given enough time to get used to a geared bike would still recommend as some nice instructors some were easily frustrated and impatient with new riders

Fantastic experience: Both instructors were extremely professional, knowledgeable and approachable, they identified each candidates’ weaknesses and tailored the training to suit. The course requirements were completed in full including a substantial practice session riding on public roads insuring the training was practiced in real traffic situations.
