They take you from scratch up to standards really well. The do make you feel confident and safe not only to pass your test but to be safe out in the road when you’re riding alone after you passed! Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't have asked for more from Adam (and Richard as he gave a few tips too while he was floating around)! Being a petite female doing her first CBT in a all men group (admittedly 3/4 were also new to riding), confidence was a problem for me. Admittedly I had a very rocky start, but after a little pep talk from Adam to calm my nerves and a change of bike, I managed to progress & actually do quite well. Because of my confidence we had a real good think on whether I should continue on with stage 2 of the training (the road ride) or come back for more bike time but again, after a very rocky start (and amazing patience from Adam ), I did it & by around 30-60 mins into the ride, I felt confident & and was excelling, despite the rain & very wet road conditions. Thank you SO much Adam for all you're time & support with my little emotional self today, it couldn't have been easy; I know I'm difficult I really do appreciate everything you did & taught me today!

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT here on Friday 05/07/2024 and had a great time. Adam, the instructor, was excellent, putting everyone at their ease and explaining everything clearly. Unfortunately they didn't have an electric bike for me to train on but I was given an automatic which is the next best thing. The training finished with a 2 hour road ride that I enjoyed far more than I thought I would! I can't wait for my bike to arrive now so I can get back on the road. Will definitely go back to SMT for my A1 so I can lose the L plates.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with SMT, completing my CBT, Mod-1, and Mod-2 with them. Their tutorship was first class, teaching me not only how to ride to pass the test, but also how to ride on the road afterward. They spend money so that you can practice your slow speed skills at the real test centre for your Mod-1, unlike other local schools. I really strongly recommend using these guys. After many years of simply repeating my CBT, and meeting a lot of instructors, I can safely say Richard was by far the best instructor I have ever met. Can’t recommend enough. Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to the team at Sutton Motorcycle Training for their guidance and knowledge in helping me obtain my A2 licence. The team are very knowledgeable and supportive, with progressive rider training. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Richard, gaining a better understanding of road positioning, preparation and all necessary observations. Negative experience: They are robbers, instructor is very discrimination because he gave one British guy CBT certificate even he doesn't good to control and operate vehicle while he failed me even I am better than him in control and operate vehicle. Instructor some time don't give the command so if we stop vehicle he said why are you stop and if you drive vehicle your own than he said I don't give the command so why are you doing your own. Instructor lead you for make mistake for making money. Untrustworthy company.

Fantastic experience: I've done most my motorcycle training with SMT and recently passed my full A licence. I've tried searching around a few training centres but SMT were the only ones to facilitate a one day progressive access course, including Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests. The instructors there are all great guys, very friendly and give really good tips. Couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: SMT where absolutely my direct access solution, with just an automatic CBT under my belt, we tackled the transition course with Richard, progressed to the Direct Access course on the MT07, Mod1 training was literally on the same site as the actual exam - just the perfect set up. Fantastic experience: From CBT to my full license, from absolutely no experience on a bike to passing Mod1 and 2 on the first attempt. The 5 days training for the A license is intense but definitely worth it. The attitude of everyone I met there is friendly, professional and serius about making you a responsible rider.

Special mention to both my instructors Damon & Richard, very knowledgeable with good balance of technical detail and injecting good humour to keep things light. Fantastic experience: Recently completed my DAS training with the guys down at Sutton. From first contact Carlie was excellent at accommodating me as i had left little time to book in before my cbt expired. Training on the bike was split between Rich and Damon and both were great at getting me comfortable on the bigger bike and helping my pass the test. I failed the mod 1 first time on a silly mistake and they managed to get me booked in again and passed in time to still complete my mod 2 befire my cbt expired. Overall highly recommened to anyone looking to gain their Full license.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT in November 2022 with Adam. The day was well structured and Adam made the course fun and informative. I then conducted the 4 day DAS course in February with Richard. Same as the CBT, well structured and passed Mod1 & Mod 2 first time. The instructors made the course enjoyable but a very informative session. No faults. You are taught how to ride for life, and not just pass the tests. Highly recommend.

Adam was a great instructor, incredibly patient and thorough with his feedback which in turn made me a better rider. Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT today with the much needed help from Adam. I went to the course having no prior experience riding a bike whatsoever, I was with 3 others who had a range of experience from a few lessons to a seasoned driver who has had a few CBT's prior. I started off as aspected, very wobbly and not great at all... To a point I felt I was going to fail and that I was holding up the rest. Adam reassured me and also made light of the situation putting me at ease while advising me on what I needed to work and focus on without making me feel useless. I continued through the day with good points and bad making me feel accommodated and also working me around others who got the hang of it quicker than me which was good for all! Eventually got to the final assessment / drive to which, at points didn't think I as going to make! However I went on my final drive and passed! The final 2 hour drive I felt like he was helping so much and continued to make it feel not like an assessment but just a ride with mates and took my nerves right down while still giving me all the help and pointers I needed to make sure I was safe to be on the road. Again thank you to the team and of course Adam! I went from thinking I had no chance to passing, even if I stressed him out throughout?! Would highly recommend SMT! Onwards to my A licence... Eventually.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was really friendly and the instructors were super helpful! Learning to ride motorcycles can be kind of intimidating if you’re a woman since there aren’t as many who do it, but I never felt uncomfortable while I was working with instructors at SMT. Managed to complete my CBT with confidence which I wouldn’t have believed if you’d told me when I started! Looking forward to getting my full licence with them in the future.

Fantastic experience: At the start of the year I had never rider a motorcycle in my life, but after 2 years of lockdown I wanted to try something new so booked a taster session, then another and then last week I completed my CBT with SMT. I had a great time at every point! The 2 taster sessions, one with Mickie one with Rich were great at teaching me the basics, getting me moving, changing gears and helping me iron out any simple errors early (i.e. look up, not down and look where you want the bike to go!). The CBT was a long day but really interesting and by the time it came to the road ride section I felt confident and I trusted that my instructor (Mickie) would only let me proceed if he had confidence in me. The two hours of road rider was great and by the end as we headed back to the centre and hit heavy traffic it didn't phase me and I felt confident and well supported. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to ride. The day was great fun (and I passed my CBT) the guys at SMT clearly have a passion for riding and take their job seriously. Fantastic experience: I came in late 2020 to do my CBT at SMT and passed first time with great instructions. So, when it came to doing my full A license, there was only one place I was going to do it. Richard, my instructor, was really knowledgeable, gave excellent feedback, training, and is also a great guy to be around - definitely helped settle the nerves! Thanks to Richard, I passed my Module 1 with 0 faults, and Module 2 with only 1 observational fault! Granted, I have a full UK driver's license, and have ridden a few electric motorbikes, but I had no prior experience of riding geared or heavier bikes such as the Kawasaki Z650 (great bike btw!) prior to my 5-day DAS course. So, as you can imagine, I'm over the moon with the result - cannot stress enough, it's thanks to Richard's excellent guidance. Special thanks also goes to Damon, another instructor who provided useful insights and Carlie, who booked me in and provided useful information over email for the tests!

Fantastic experience: I just did my cbt and was so impressed with how much they go over and how many details they cover. i came away confident with driving and knowing a lot more about the roads than i did beforehand. the instructors were amazing and so nice and it was a very enjoyable experience. Definitely would recommend.

Fantastic experience: SMT have an amazing team. From the point of booking, to the customer service when asking questions prior to my training day, to the training day, I was looked after all through the process. Very friendly atmosphere, Carlie was always quick to respond to any questions that I had. As a female wanting to be on 2 wheels there is an element of fear when wanting to book the course for the first time. SMT made this process comfortable and simple. Then on the day of the training, I was feeling nervous, this was put at ease immediately by the instructor (Adam). Very friendly and environment to walk into. The laughter definitely eased the fear. An inclusive and informative course with a great understanding of my needs from the instructor. Thank you team.

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend SMT enough. Completed my CBT with instructor Adam. He was great, very patient , very knowledgeable and explained everything very easily. Everyone at SMT are very welcoming and knowledgeable, any questions i had they were happy to answer and i ended up leaving with a plan on what bike to chose and what to avoid. If your a female looking for a place to go to complete your CBT or any training, SMT is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience completing my CBT with this training school. Richard was my instructor. He was patient, very knowledgable and very supportive. He explained every aspect of the process in great detail and really helped me understand how to control the bike both in the test centre and on the road. I can’t recommend them enough! UPDATE I went back at SMT to complete my DAS 4 day course with them. Carlie was the admin there that helped me by answering all my queries and booking me for the course. She was very prompt and professional throughout. On my actual training days I met Damon. He is a very professional and highly skilled instructor. He was very polite and was trying to help me and the other student to the best of his ability. From making jokes to help us relief our stress levels, to explaining every aspect of the course in a clear way. He was trying to identify our individual learning methods so that we could learn in the most effective way. I could not thank him and the rest of the team enough. It was an amazing 4 days with them and I highly recommend them for anyone that is thinking of either starting the motorcycle journey or even complete their license. Fantastic experience: Fab experience with these guys. I did my DAS with Richard and Damon. They couldn't have been more helpful, patient and thorough. They knew where to tell us off, and where to pat on our backs, not to mention their chat and banter makes the atmosphere much more relaxed when you are all anxious waiting for your test. So pleased I chose them and highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I went back to renew my CBT - If you are an older female and looking for a warm and welcoming training center I highly recommend them. I am a nervous overthinker - was shaking when I went in - stalled the bike a lot (had not ridden for a while). .. I had totally lost my confidence .. Adam (The SMT instructor) was calm, clear, enthusiastic. He could tell I was overthinking and enabled me to relax. By the end of the day.. I was in a far better place. I am far more confident about how to stay safe and have been out on the bike and finally feel optimistic.

Fantastic experience: I recently done my CBT with an Instructor called Micky he was very helpful and his humour got us through the day. He made the training a breeze. Best training centre in the Uk. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to learn on a Motorcycle

Fantastic experience: Great Training couldnt recommend highly enough. The team here are great ,really experienced easy going and really put you at ease whislt teaching you want you need to know to be as safe as you can be. Big thanks to Adam , Richard for making us feel welcome and a pleasure to spend the day with Mickey thanks for putting up with us and for your time and making it as enjoyable as it was. See you in a couple of months for DAS. If anyone is looking to do there CBT or DAS go and have a chat with SMT they are the nicest people erllevant of your experience that you will come across.

Fantastic experience: Just did my DAS course, Richard was absolutely fantastic. 2 days training, Mod 1 & 2 back to back with just 2 faults thanks to the amazing instruction. Best thing is SMT pay to access the testing grounds, so you get to practice where you'll be tested for Mod 1! Highly recommend these guys. They're just nice experienced folks.

Fantastic experience: I failed my first CBT at another school so I came here. I have to say the teaching skills were night and day. Very supportive and informative. The previous CBT I did made me Extremely nervous but Richard helped me alot and I have recommended this to many people since. If you're doing your CBT go here as they will do everything they can to help you gain confidence and get you on the road. Update- I have just completed my second CBT with smc. I cant fault them at all. Adam was extremely patient and very clear on what is expected of a learner rider. Richard and Adam were extremely friendly and look forward to doing my a2 with them. Fantastic experience: Cannot fault this school! I emailed and asked if they had any availability for me to do my Mod 2 training and test, got a response very quickly and was given a test and training day only two weeks away. Carlie was really helpful and provided me with all the information I needed and answered any questions I had clearly and quickly. Got to the school, had my training with Richard, amazing guy, very patient and explained things so well I got them straight away. Passed my test with only 2 minors and now on my bike thanks to Richard! Would recommend 100% to anyone and everyone looking to do any type of motorcycle course. 10/10 experience! Thank you SMT team

Fantastic experience: My friends did there bike license years ago from SMT. I did my CBT recently from SMT. Staff here is very Friendly, Professional and Welcoming. My instructor was Adam. This guy is fun to do CBT with he is knowledgeable, a good trainer with alot of patience(hard to find now a days) and is overall attitude is positive. He keeps you stress-free, no pressure so you can learn and be SAFE out on the road. I am glad that I did my CBT from these professionals and will do my full license through them as well. Fantastic experience: Initially called up a couple of months ago to book my full DAS and was told that I had very little experience on a geared bike. I was recommended to ride a geared bike for at least 1000 miles whilst I got used to the concept of the clutch and throttle before I book. I wouldn’t have had it any other way, highly highly recommend to get some sort of geared experience before stepping onto the larger CC bikes. Had both Richard and Damon guide me throughout the 4 days I was there and couldn’t have asked for better instructors; they were extremely approachable, funny and would never have an issue answering any of my questions. Great, down-to-earth gentlemen - it was a pleasure to have taken my DAS training with these guys. Fantastic experience: There are so many good things about SMT, so I'll be another client happy to sing their praises. I went to do my CBT in July 2022 and I feel extremely well prepared and confident on the roads on a 110cc bike with absolutely no prior riding experience. Their teaching was clear, engaging and had a strong emphasis on health, safety and risk. Rich and Mickey were the best instructors you could ask for. They were lovely guys with plenty of care, passion, banter and top notch advice! Had a great time and excited to start riding a bike of my own - thank you guys.

Fantastic experience: Casual, Professional, Friendly, Patient and Thorough, that is how I would describe my experience. As a beginner, you would make mistakes and my experience with the instructors was excellent I was never made feel embarrassed instead they let you know the issue and made you understand. By the end of the day, I was confident enough to ride on the road and do the last training which is riding in traffic and it was absolute fun. I would highly recommend this place to those who are looking to pass their CBT or have never ridden a motorcycle before. If you are looking for a place that is professional but also treats you well this is the place.

Fantastic experience: After 1 year and 4 failed attempts to pass my Mod 2 at another school, I decided to look for a closer school and despite my limitations regarding the English language, I had a great learning experience with Sutton motorcycle training. All it took was 2 hours of training before the test and I was able to pass with confidence. Damon is an incredible person, professional and attentive to small details, he gave me several tips regarding daily riding and the place where I would take my test, Mitcham. I highly recommend Sutton Motorcycle training and their instructors to anyone looking for professionalism and real motorcycle experience, good luck to all candidates and all the best to Damon and his team!!! Fantastic experience: Richard and Damon are great instructors, had 5 days of training with them before my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests, and as a result I passed both tests and on top of that I learned more in those 5 days than 4 years of continuous riding as a learner. They're incredibly passionate, great teachers, genuinely good and friendly blokes. Can't recommend this place more for doing your big-bike or CBT licenses. Did both my CBTs here too previously, and I can safely say they know what they're doing and they set you up brilliantly for taking the next steps as a rider.
