Although independent, Driving Lessons Ayr / ADI Driving Instructor Training Ayr is bound by the rules and regulations set out by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport that controls the Register of Driving Instructors.

We provide Driving Lessons tailored to your needs, whether you be a complete beginner or an experienced driver requiring refresher training. We offer 1:1 driving lessons, mock tests around driving test routes in Ayr, help with the Theory Test, Pass Plus and intensive driving courses.

Fantastic experience: Recently just pass my driving test with Gordon. Very understanding and has a wealth of knowledge in term of driving. Never a dull moment with him, always cracking jokes and doesn't make the lesson awkward. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've got an EU driving license and coming to Scotland, I wanted to take lessons to get used to driving on the left hand side. Gordon was absolutely good at thoroughly explaining the rules, what to pay attention to, whilst I was driving. He applies constructive criticism in his very calm and polite manners, so that you can correct what you're doing wrong (not great yet) without feeling like an idiot - I think that's a plus too. I found the entire experience fair (also fair price) and worthwhile. So I can only recommend.

Fantastic experience: Gordon was very patient with my teenage son.Michael was made to feel at ease by Gordon and found his way of teaching suited his needs.Michael is on the autistic spectrum and this can pose challenges sometimes but Gordon built his confidence as well as teaching him actuall driving skills.We will be recommending Gordon to friends and family ,will be in touch when it is my younger sons time to learn to drive. Thank you Gordon !

Fantastic experience: I've recently taken a few refresher driving lessons with Gordon and now feel much more confident in my driving abilities. He is very analytical, encouraging progress whilst giving constructive criticism when needed and informing you of areas of improvement. He has great patience and is calm, instructive and motivating when teaching whilst also friendly, funny & very easy to get along with! I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons & couldn't recommend Gordon more highly as a driving instructor for both new and experienced drivers.

Fantastic experience: Gordon is a great driving instructor, period. Whether you already have experience or driving for the first time I would highly recommend Gordon for driving lessons. From day one I could tell he really knew his stuff on the road, very patient and professional, gives very clear explanation of rules and instructions on driving. Most of all very great teacher and if it were not for Gordon I would not be happily driving right now. Passed my test on Friday the 13th! Enough said. Thank you very much Gordon! Again highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Gordon, I was originally hesitant as to whether I would pass my test in the time for moving abroad as I had no previous knowledge or experience but ended up passing in 9 days. My experience was great as Gordon made everything very easy to understand and was very patient and calm in all situations. Any queries or questions were easily answered and the lessons were very accommodating. Thank you to Gordon for making my driving experience thoroughly enjoyable and helping me to pass so quickly and to such a high standard !

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gordon for driving lessons. I had never driven a car in my life so I was very nervous to get behind the wheel but Gordon was very patient and was able to make me feel at ease very quickly. He was very helpful and talked me through any mistakes I made so I was able to understand and correct them. As I improved in my driving he encouraged me to decide what I wanted to work on during lessons so I was sure I was fully confident for my test. I would recommend anyone who is looking for driving lessons to go with Gordon :) his knowledge and patience is very much appreciated!
