Fantastic experience: Ali is hands down the best driving instructor out there. I was hugely anxious about driving in the UK (I had an American license) and genuinely felt that I’d never feel confident as a driver here. I passed first time on my automatic test after doing an intensive driving course with her. I genuinely feel like a different person when I drive now. I’m confident in my ability and know I’m a safe, knowledgeable driver on the road. Ali teaches in a comprehensive way which assesses your ability each lesson so not only are you aware of your progress, you know what needs to be improved. As a learner this was hugely helpful and helped me to systematically improve my driving skills, rather than feeling like I was aimlessly driving around hoping I’d pass with no way to measure this (as had been the case with the previous instructor I tried). As well as being an excellent teacher, she is fun to be around and a reflective, empathetic person. You are in good hands with Ali.

Fantastic experience: After years of thinking I'd never be able to drive, I've finally done it! The truth is, I could always do it—I just needed the right instructor. If Alison had a superpower, it's the ability to assess you as a person and create a tailored learning structure that works for you. As someone with bipolar, I often struggle with anxiety and negative thinking, especially when it comes to achieving even the smallest tasks. But Alison’s patience, understanding, and mental support helped me push through those doubts. I can’t thank or recommend her enough. Thanks to a semi-intense course and some additional lessons, I passed my driving test first time! More than just teaching me to drive, Alison showed me the power of patience and belief in myself. Even the thought of me driving last year was fair to say unimaginable, or for me it was at least! Fantastic experience: I’m not sure I could really ever thank Ali enough for what she has done for me. She took someone who never wanted to drive, someone who was incredibly anxious, someone who would often end up in tears most lessons, someone who had no confidence whatsoever…fast forward to now and I’ve just passed my test first time with two minors!! All thanks to Ali. She is the most incredibly understanding and patient person I have ever met. When I met Ali I was going through a very difficult time - when I opened up to her about what was going on, I was met with nothing but pure kindness and empathy. She was so patient and understanding with me when learning, and always made me feel better when I made mistakes, and gave great advice with how to deal with the anxiety of learning. She explained things really well and the XLR8 book was really useful to track my progress. I tried learning to drive many years ago and gave up due to my confidence and lack of self belief, 5 years later I came across Ali online and I'm so glad I did! Ali was an absolute diamond, by my second lesson I felt like I'd known her for years. She helped me pass first time, even in my own car.
