EMM Driving School

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my experience. A regular learner who had been attending lessons and making good progress was informed that there would be no lesson availability for approximately four months because other students returning home from university over the summer would be given priority. As a young learner, he simply accepted what he was told and responded politely. However, when I became aware of the situation, I contacted the instructor as the parent paying for the lessons to understand why a regular student was being displaced and what options were available. I sent several polite messages over a period of weeks seeking an explanation and raising concerns about the impact this would have on his progress. These messages were ignored. The only response received was: "I think it's best you find another instructor." There was no explanation, discussion or attempt to find a solution. Learning to drive requires regular lessons and continuity. A gap of several months can affect confidence, skill retention and overall progress, particularly when it is already difficult to secure driving lessons elsewhere. I was also advised that a discount for a block booking of lessons was only available if payment was made in cash upfront, which I felt was an unreasonable expectation given the amount involved. Overall, I found the communication, customer service and treatment of an existing learner to be poor. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Emm is by far the best driving instructor, and i recommend her to anyone i can! She has a great teaching style that really boosts confidence in driving. She is patient, lovely, understanding and great to have a chat with too! She really goes above and beyond in teaching her students!!

Fantastic experience: Emm was a fantastic driving instructor, I cannot recommend her enough!! I previously had a cheaper instructor however when switching to Emm I could really see the difference in my driving and confidence. It is an insane difference, I went from not being able to drive without having a lesson to being able to drive in my car (with someone else of course) and confident in my ability to drive. I truly believe without Emm’s lessons I would not be anywhere near as confident as I am now. She is so friendly, kind, patient and everything you’d want in an instructor.
