Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Sinead, passed my test first time with her. A great instructor :)

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Carol the owner. Who turned up to my home in a bad mood with an instant dislike to myself for some reason making a preconceived opinion of myself. Saying “bet you’d love to know what I know about you” as one of the first things she said to me. Rude. Her behaviour was aggressive and unprofessional from the moment she was stood outside of my home having to have a cigarette before we left. A very awkward and bizarre first impression while I wait for her to finish her cigarette then get into a dirty, cigarette smelling car. Lovely stuff! Carol then proceeded to complain about how much work she’s got on making me feel like a burden as she so nicely said “I don’t wanna be working 40 hours a week” I’m still not sure why she agreed to take me out? I shouldn’t have gotten in the car I felt uncomfortable the moment we met. 15 mins into the lesson I pull up and ask her to take me home. As an adult I have never been made to feel so small, on edge or uncomfortable in my life. Her tone of voice the way she spoke to me.. I’m shocked. After speaking with my new instructor he’s informed me this isn’t new behaviour from her and I feel it’s important to let others know what they could potentially be walking into.

Fantastic experience: Peter has been the most patient and professional instructor I have ever had. He explains everything you need to know about driving in detail and it helped me out alot, I feel safe, relaxed and confident during all the lessons. He knows what he is talking about and helps you to be the best driver you can be, he gives you plenty of advice every lesson or whenever you need it, i learnt a lot of knowledge with Pete, I have passed my test and without Peters help I would of struggled, thanks Pete, would recommend

Fantastic experience: Peter has been the most patient and professional instructor I have ever had. He explains everything you need to know about driving in detail and this has helped me a lot to over come my driving anxiety so quickly. I feel safe and confident during all the lessons and I pick up all the driving skills faster than I expected myself. He knows what he is talking about and genuinely cares about helping you to be the best driver you can be and gives prenty of advice every lesson.I am excited about passing my driving test in the future for the first time in my life thanks to Peter. Grace.

Fantastic experience: Pete is my instructor and I must say he is the most patient and straight-up mentor I have ever spoken to. I have terrible anxiety and have been in a car crash in the past so I have a HUGE fear of being on the road. Even before I had chance to drive the car, I was made to feel at ease by Pete as we started to work on my current barriers. I am not only learning to drive but I’m also being coached and picking up skills I use day to day. I know if I am unsure I can ask and if I’m feeling especially anxious I am given the time to ground myself. If I start to panic, Pete doesn’t even take this out of my time and is very very aware of the effects mental health can have on you as a learner and is very understanding and adaptive. The lessons I am receiving are definitely (more than) value for money and instead of being scared when I have a lesson coming up, I’m truly excited. Pete is not just an instructor, he is truly a mentor who wants what’s best for his students!

Negative experience: I had Pete as my instructor. Booked for 10 lessons for £300. They were going well until the last lesson where after I stalled the car and the instructor cancelled the lesson halfway through, cancelling all future lessons due to me being a supposed danger. Throughout our lessons, Pete kept mentioning the increased cost of fuel and how he may have to up his prices and making comments along the line of “oh if I charge too much you’d go elsewhere”. I highly suspect he dumped me so he could take on new students at a higher rate. Definitely recommend going elsewhere

Negative experience: Wouldnt reccomend... the type to say you need double the lessons you actually need. Edit: except they tell you this before youve touched the wheel

Fantastic experience: As an automatic driving instructor, Emma has been a wonderful teacher. Patient and supportive. Firm but fair. She will go above and beyond to get you passed. I have tried numerous instructors, some were terrible communicators whilst other felt like they were trying to scam me out of more money. Not emma, She's honest and realistic. If you work with her, trust in her method and expect to have a few learning curves along the way. You will succeed. Thanks again Emma, Not bad for a first time pass ey.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Sinead Real-Smith as my driving instructor! Thanks to Sinead, I past my driving test first time, with 0 minors in Hyde, in July 2017! I loved having driving lessons and she is a great, friendly and hilarious teacher and now friend! Kings driving school isn't only friendly and fun, they really pushed and motivated me, making sure I had all the right tools to learn the highway code and correct and safe driving habits! I'd definitely recommend to all first time drivers for great value and results!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend King's driving school. Emma was such a fabulous instructor! She’s such a friendly person with a wealth of experience and always maintained high standards, patience, punctuality and a calm attitude throughout. She also has a wonderful sense of humour, which puts you at ease. Emma teaches you to be able to drive anywhere, rather than solely taking you around test routes. I passed first time a few weeks ago with only two minors after having semi-intensive lessons for over a month and a half! I have driven everyday since and the confidence I have gained I would fully attribute to the high standards of teaching. Thanks again Emma!

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review not only to express my sincere appreciation to Emma but also to help anyone else that is interested in learning to drive. Emma is absolutely amazing and I want you to know why. She does not just teach students because it is her job but more importantly because she genuinely cares. Emma will look at your mistakes and wants to understand why we make a mistake not just point them out. But customizing her approach to the specific needs of each student working with both strengths and weaknesses you learn to drive well, safely and with confidence. I was very lucky to have a wonderful instructor like Emma and honestly believe you will never find a better driving instructor. I will never forget you Emma, lessons this good money cannot buy!!

Negative experience: If you are looking for a professional, considerate, friendly value for money experience I highly recommend looking somewhere else, my son booked a 3-hour lesson for today and was abruptly told after only one hour that the lesson was terminated because his instructor was not enjoying the lesson, not only was this rude and inconsiderate but highly unprofessional and selfish, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I will be sure to promote Kings in a negative way whenever possible.

Fantastic experience: I had my lessons with Fliss and can recommend her highly. Not only is she a great instructor but a lovely woman. Very patient and is very organised in her approach. I've been with several driving instructors in the past and she is head and shoulders above the rest.

Fantastic experience: Emma is a great driving instructor. She helped me become a confident driver. She is always ready to listen and will tailor the lessons to your needs. I also had a great laugh with her. She is one of the best driving instructors around. She really does know her stuff. I will definitely recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say it has been a privilege to learn to drive with Carol! I would never have passed if it weren't for her faith and persistence! She was so patient with me as I was a slow learner. We had such a laugh in my lessons and I looked forward to them every week. You will not find a more dedicated instructor who will do her utmost to teach you and think of new ways to tackle the challenges you might face. Fantastic experience: without Kings Driving School , I would not have passed. I had anxiety and under extreme stress with my 2 disabled children. Only Emma was able to understand my difficulties and she tried to be as flexible as she can with appointments around the needs of my children. She used visual aids as well as camera to explain to me my mistakes and be able to correct them. Emma spends lot of time explaining things before start driving to avoid giving me instructions while driving to low my anxiety. She told me when she think I will Pass and told me when she think I was not ready for the test. I changed my mind several times about the test location and she did not mind that change at all. Her lessons were quality time, rather than just lost time. Every minute were extermely useful. I failed twice before I started with Emma. A person like me with anxiety would not have passed without Emma's help..

Negative experience: I had his driving instructor for 10 lessons and not once did she take me on a round about and only once let me drive out of my road some of my lessons she didn't even turn up or turned up late I would not recommend this instructor so glad I have a new one
