Driving Instructor Jem

Fantastic experience: I totally recommend Jem as an instructor, she's fantastic. I used to have a car a drove for 15 years, but haven't for the last 15 so went for a refresher lesson and well worth it. Really brought my driving confidence back.

Fantastic experience: Jem was actually my third instructor, and by far the best of them. Her warm personality is excellent for teaching and making you feel comfortable with the car. If you don't understand a tip or piece of advice she's given you, she's able to quickly adapt the way she's teaching to a way that you might get. She also has a knack for knowing when to challenge you to ensure you're progressing lesson upon lesson. Can't recommend her enough, definitely an instructor worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: The BEST driving instructor in the area! After taking lessons with different local instructors, (and can definitely compare!) I was SO lucky to find Jem! I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking to pass their test and learn how to drive with confidence. Fantastic experience: Jem is special and you don’t need to look anywhere else for a reliable, fun, and intelligent instructor. There are tons of instructors out there, yes. And they are good and they will teach you how to drive, yes. But Jem will empower you with driving and make you believe you are actually capable and unleash your learning potential. Learning to drive was such a challenging process and it takes time. Every lesson with Jem cheer me up and I learn something about driving and about how to drive confidently, calmly, and happily. Passed one year ago but adding my comments now.

Fantastic experience: Jem is an excellent driving instructor, and helped me pass my practical test. She has provided me with all the knowledge needed for the test, as well as tips for 'real life' driving too which has proved valuable. I was particularly nervous about driving to begin with, but her expertise and kind personality helped me feel calm in both driving lessons and on test, and has turned me into a confident driver. Her flexibilty for providing lessons and mock tests was great and enabled me to have sessions at times that suited me. I cannot recommend Jem enough!

Fantastic experience: Jem turned my nervous teenager into a confident driver in just a few weeks. She had some great ways to teach tricky things like reversing into bays and parallel parking. The lessons were done at the learner’s pace and repeated as much as my teenager wanted. She was kind and warm hearted. My teenager wasn’t sure they’d pass, but Jem said they were ready, and she was right.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. She's brilliant at teaching and has a hilarious sense of humour. I really enjoyed our time together. She got rid of all of my bad habits and got me test ready ❤️

Fantastic experience: I started my driving journey 5 months ago, Jem had stuck with me through thick and thin. Driving with Jem was a dream, Jem was consise, clear and easy to understand. Today was the day I passed my test, she allowed me to have a blow up in the car an hour before my test as I didn't feel confident, however she felt differently. Just goes to show, Jem is the pro as I passed first time with four minors! Couldn't be more happier and I will try to keep in contact with Jem and recommend her as much as I possibly can. Thanks a lot Jem! Legenddddddddd!

Fantastic experience: I've had several driving instructors so believe me when I say that Jem is the best out there! Not only does she have a brilliant personality and put you at ease, but she also really knows her stuff. Lots of instructors will teach you to do things without explaining why, or they'll get you to do manouevres using complicated steps and reference points that are useless as soon as you drive a new car (or mess up slightly). Jem has a very practical, common sense approach. Thanks to her, I'm now a confident, independent driver who can handle anything that comes her way - in the test or out driving in the real world! I honestly can't sing her praises enough.

Fantastic experience: Do yourself a favour and just call Jem now. I really can’t recommend her enough! She is a fantastic teacher and helped me to gain confidence behind the wheel, being a very anxious driver that is no mean feat! I used to dread driving, but lessons were so fun I actually looked forward to it every week! Jem is extremely patient and made each lesson relaxed. She will even take you on a tour of the Reading hotspots (Matalan included). Will really miss the lessons!

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time on Friday with Jem. I started my driving journey with a different instructor but when COVID hit and everything stopped, he also stopped so that put my driving on hold. Luckily for me I found Jem who was offering safe lessons for key workers during the closure and I can honestly say that was the best decision ever. Me being quite an anxious person I was scared to drive with someone new but from the second I met her, her friendly comedic aura just rubs off on you. It’s clear she enjoys her job and meeting new people so I think it’s the perfect job for her. She always breaks things down as much as you need so you understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, even things that may seem silly. I’ve never got in the car or done something wrong and felt judged with her which is a huge deal for me. She’s extremely patient and even gives you lots of helpful tips for driving after your test. She is the perfect balance between professional and relaxed, I can truly say I’ve never had a boring lesson! I’ve already recommended her to all my friends who are learning and I will continue to with everyone else because she is very very good at what she does and her prices are very affordable for the quality of her lessons. I’ve never done a lesson where I’ve left feeling like I didn’t learn something new. 11/10 from me- Forever grateful to you Jem <3
