Fantastic experience: Matt was an amazing instructor who helped me with my anxiety through his patient approach to teaching me how to drive. Every time we found something that I needed to work on, he made sure to write it down for us to work on next lesson. After I failed my first test, I appreciated being taken around the part of the route I failed to make myself comfortable if I got the same route on my next text. I would highly recommend Matt for any prospective learner, but especially those with anxiety who may need more patience throughout their practice.

Fantastic experience: To say I was not a natural learner driver is an understatement but with Matt's teaching ability along with his patience, reassurance and belief in my abilities I was able to overcome my anxieties and pass my practical driving test. Fantastic experience: My experience with Matt throughout our lessons has been nothing short of excellent. He is very understanding and caring, and feels like something beyond instructor, a friend. Throughout my time with him there has not been a single time he hasn’t had his full attention on me and has answered every question I have with great enthusiasm no matter how stupid I thought the question may be (there are no stupid questions). When it comes to his teaching style there is a very clear structure to it and he is extremely knowledgeable in the field of driving. His professionalism has always been top tier all while keeping things friendly and not putting you on the edge. He specialises in helping people with mental battles, particularly anxiety. Although I wouldn’t describe myself as an anxious individual, he helped me beat other complexities like self-doubt. I am so happy to have found you and I am looking forward to seeing you on the roads Matt!

Fantastic experience: Matt is such a great instructor! I always felt reassured and comfortable during my lessons, which is really important for someone with anxiety. He allowed me to learn at my own pace so patiently, without putting any pressure on me, and built my confidence up to the big test day - and today I have passed first time! Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Matt enough, I put off learning to drive until my 30s as it's something I've always felt very nervous about. He's a patient and thoughtful instructor who understood my anxieties and tailored my lessons to suit me. I passed recently and will honestly miss the weekly lessons which not many learners can say! He's a great teacher, I left every lesson feeling very positive about my progress. I'm now really excited to start driving by myself which is something I never thought would be possible! I'm so glad Matt was my instructor!

Fantastic experience: I came to Matt after a long break from driving lessons with another instructor and he's been absolutely brilliant. Always patient and giving the right balance between support and allowing me to be independent. As well as fixing less than ideal habits, he built up the confidence I needed to pass on my first attempt at the practical test. I would highly recommend him to any learner but particularly those with anxiety or other types of neurodivergence. He's great for working out how you may have interpreted information or a situation, and for explaining why or why not you should take certain actions in relation to safety and how the car works, if that's knowledge you find helpful. I truly enjoyed having lessons with Matt - thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Matt made learning to drive a fun experience. He is endlessly patient and explains things in a way tailored to you. As a mum, I have had to rearrange lessons at the last minute, and he has always been supportive and understanding of this. I highly recommend Matt to aid you on your driving journey.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Matt enough for his patience in teaching me to drive. I’d previously had lessons with another instructor years ago but had to stop & then developed a big anxiety around driving. Matt made the whole experience pleasant. With his help I’ve gone from feeling very anxious about driving to feeling like ‘I can actually do this’ & then passing my test first time! He explained things in a way that worked for me & never wavered in his patience. I had a rough ride due to lockdown cancellations & one point I felt like giving up but Matt continued to gently encourage me to keep with it. He was always understanding, accommodating & calm. I would recommend him to anyone learning to drive but especially to those who feel nervous or anxious as you will never be judged, only supported through the process. Big big thanks Matt for everything!

Many instructors claim to be experienced and specialise in working with anxious pupils - However Matt shows the true patience and understanding it takes to calm nerves and increase confidence behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor than Matt. After a bad experience in the past with 2 instructors, making me give up and lose confidence for 5 years, I started again and found Matt. In 5 months I've learnt and corrected all the things I didn't know and had got wrong before. And then got a first time pass with him. For someone who has anxiety, I needed someone who can be calm and explain things in different ways for me to understand. He totally gets the anxiety aspect and can often be a mini life coach as well with that side of things as well teaching you to drive and pass your test. I would 100% recommend Matt and am thankful for all he's done for me. He has actually made me enjoy driving and not see it as a chore and a scary thing to do.

Fantastic experience: I honestly could not recommend Matt enough! Excellent communicator and tailors your experience to you and your learning style! The man has so much patience and makes you feel at ease. Before Matt id had an instructor that had only added to my anxiety around driving, a couple years on I decided to give driving another go. God I was so nervous but, with Matt I actually started to enjoy driving and would look forward to my lessons and the time spent with Matt. So professional the whole way through. I passed first time! Something I never thought would be possible to me, but Matt had the confidence in me ! I have even booked in to do more lessons for experience on the motor way. Anxious driver or not I would 100% recommend this guy !

He teaches you clearly and concisely, not only learn the basics but build on your own knowledge after he has helped you attain your license. Matt has shown me a great level of professionalism in his teaching but also tailored the experience to help me who was initially quite anxious to get behind the wheel into a confident driver. Fantastic experience: Really cannot praise Matt enough. I’d attempted driving in my late teens and was put off completely by a not so great instructor. Fast forward quite a few years and I decided to give it another go. Previous experience of learning to drive had made me so nervous but Matt did a brilliant job of helping me to see that I can drive and it’s ok to make mistakes but to learn from it and move on. He communicates brilliantly when something doesn’t quite go to plan and uses visual aids like google maps to help you understand the issue and how to get it right the next time. We got on really well and I’ll definitely miss our weekly lessons. Without such a patient and knowledgable instructor I wouldn’t have passed today.

Fantastic experience: After having 2 previous instructors who didnt even give me the confidence to get to my theory, I started my driving lessons with Matt. Passed my theory and around 2 weeks later passed my practical test 1st time with only 2 minors. Matt is a great instructor, very patient and knows what hes doing!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic instructor! Really cares about his students. A few months back my old instructor decided to change to automatic instead of manual so I was left in the dark, not sure I would find a another instructor in time to do my test! But luckily my friend had recommended Matt, who went above and beyond to accommodate the short notice and supported me through my lessons/tests. I’ve now passed as a confidence driver thanks to Matt. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I had terrible driving anxiety before I was introduced to Matt. I passed my test with Matt last year. Without his patience and encouragement, I do not believe I would have passed my test. I'm now a happy and confident driver

Negative experience: Failed to assist learner driver appropriately in a dual control car, resulting in a prosecution and three penalty points which could have been avoided if the correct intervention used. Not good. Confidence lost completely. As the red light was on for 14 seconds and the instructor advised in writing they would have intervened if that was the case yet failed to do so.? A learner driver is not fully trained 2 months into lessons. Currently in a legal challenge over this matter, not the position you should be in when you pay for lessons in a dual control vehicle with a qualified instructor. Who has the ability to intervene.

Fantastic experience: Matt is an excellent driving instructor who teaches you how to drive well, not just pass the test. The lessons were well paced and Matt is easy to talk to and patient when things don't go quite to plan. Passed my test today first time so thank you Matt!
