Fantastic experience: I was nervous and not confident on the roads when I started with Pete, after leaving another instructor but, he made me feel comfortable and confident when driving and would adapt his information to me to make things simpler for me. Very good/kind instructor and would highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I was an unconfident driver and came to Pete after leaving another instructor. We booked 15 hours of lessons and by the end of an intensive few weeks I passed my test 1st time. I couldn't recommend Pete highly enough! He's a fantastic instructor!

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Mckie school of motoring enough! Having sworn to myself years ago I would never drive a car nor sit in the drivers seat. I bit the bullet and booked my first lesson. We spent a lot of time working on my confidence which from the first lesson was zero!! Slowly and with a great deal of patients we got there and I honestly doubted myself that I would pass first time. Well today was the day and I am very happy to announce that I did in fact pass on my first attempt. Pete of mckie school of motoring is now very treasured friend. I wouldn’t have got to where I am if it wasn’t for Pete. Very highly professional and amazing at his job! So I will be recommending Mckie school of motoring to every one who asks me! Fantastic experience: Excellent driving instructor, very patient and takes the time to explain things to ensure you are fully comfortable behind the wheel, which for me was a big worry before I started. Spotlessly clean car as well which is lovely to drive. Thoroughly recommend Pete for lessons.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate the McKie School of Motoring and Pete highly enough. Pete took me from a complete novice to competent driver in no time. I was one of Pete's very rare second time passes, having failed with one major and one minor. This speaks volumes about Pete's teaching ability - you're trained to drive, not to jump through hoops. On a personal level Pete is great fun, easy to talk to , and willing to go the extra mile for his students. No word of a lie this man left his sick bed to ensure that I was able to take my test (which I failed - sorry). For the second attempt all issues with the first drive were addressed in a couple of lessons and I passed with 3 minors. If you're looking to learn to drive properly get lessons from McKie. You will not regret learning to drive there.

Fantastic experience: wonderful instructor very patient, I have recently started a new job, and I have had to go out on a driving assessment, which was more nervy than my driving test, the assessor is very highly experienced, after sailing through my assessment, my assessor asked why I have only recently had my licence, as I was over 40 when I did get it, I explained that I had no confidence behind a wheel, I had made loads of excuses not to drive, the assessor stated that my driving had been flawless with them, and that this was down to me having a very strong core driving routine, which Pete had installed in me from the very beginning g of my training, I cannot praise this guy high enough, he genuinely cares about his pupils and getting you through your test, and more importantly having you drive at very high level and safely.

Negative experience: There’s this guy called Pete and he is really precious about his car which is understandable but for someone who doesn’t drive it can be off putting when all he focuses on is his car rather than your driving. Also the way he tries to teach is not very good he just seems focused on money and not actually getting you to pass.

Fantastic experience: I had an instructor before Pete that taught me bad habits. Pete was patient and got me out my habits and couldn’t have done this with out him. He teaches you in a way that helps you remember and can’t thank him enough for my new freedom.

Fantastic experience: I was an extremely nervous driver and struggled with the thought of ever getting to pass the test. Pete is brilliant at not only teaching you how to drive but also feel comfortable driving with the scope of being a good driver. I'm happy I scouted further afield than where I live to find this.
