Fantastic experience: very professional, just passed my test today

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Ian to anyone learning to drive. Fantastic instructor who is very experienced in his profession. Extremely good at teaching you how to drive and made me pass first time. Easy to get along with and lessons are always structured very well. A very relaxed environment where you feel comfortable and safe at all times. Thanks Ian, had plenty of laughs and rememberable moments, especially the drive home from the test centre.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I have had a lasting awful experience after 1 class with Ian. He was extremely unprofessional (shouting and showing frustration during the class) and did nothing but put my confidence down. At one point, I quote he said ''I can teach a monkey to drive from Morecambe to Lancaster but that does not mean they would actually learn driving''. Lack of professionalism, rude and simply awful experience. I had heard many people complain about him but to my bad luck still opted for a class. A driving teacher that does not have the basic skill to talk and guide a student through a class is extremely appalling. P.S : Based on the other reviews i've read, I can already anticipate a sarcastic comment to this review in a futile attempt to defend himself, so please save it.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Ian to anyone looking for a driving instructor around Lancaster and morecambe. Great instructor who is very thorough in teaching you everything you need to know and really easy to get along with. Lessons are always really well structured so you’re able to go away and practice easily in your own time. Was thrilled to have passed first time.

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructor and all round great guy. Very organised lessons meaning I could practice what we were doing before hand. Great explanation of details in all aspects of driving. Always felt confident whilst learning with Ian as I knew if I messed up he was ready to prevent bad situations. Passed first time without being confident in the slightest of passing what so ever. Cheers for everything Ian!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic! Ian is a brilliant experienced instructor, you can be assured to feel comfortable and safe at all times whilst learning in a relaxed enviroment. I passed my test with just 1 minor and I'm set up perfectly for driving on the open road. I would 100% recommend to anyone, no matter how experienced. Thanks for everything Ian, had plenty of laughs along the way. :)

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test yesterday and was thrilled to pass first time. Ian has great attention to detail and a thorough approach, which I am sure greatly contributed to my first time pass with only two minors. He made lessons fun, yet was totally dedicated to instilling good driving techniques - which kept me calm and I know will form the basis of my driving now I have passed. Thanks Ian!

Fantastic experience: Ian was a great instructor. He made sure I was well prepapred for my test. Diagrams and pictures made it easier for me understand where I was going wrong and to improve. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Ian is an amazing driving instructor and I would recommend to everyone! The lessons are well planned and structured so you know what you're doing each time. He is very professional but offers a relaxed driving experience and is very personable. As I got more confident we could have a laugh whilst driving and have less formal conversations but he was always alert to what was happening on the road in case he needed to step in. He tailors the lessons to your needs to help you progress - I am a visual learner, so if I didn’t understand something he would draw the junction on a white board and act it out with toy cars so I could remember it. Passed first time with Ian, no minors! Cannot thank him enough!!

Fantastic experience: Ian was a great no nonsense driving instructor, he ensured that I was well equipped for my test so I went into it feeling confident and ended up with only 2 minors.

Fantastic experience: Ian was very amenable when setting out times for lessons even when I was ill or had family commitments that couldn't be changed and he always seemed professional, with lessons already planned ahead and set out so I knew what we were going to learn or practice that day. As I grew more confident driving we were able to relax a bit more and could have a less professional chat and laugh whilst driving, but he always knew what was happening and was always ready to instruct and take control when needed. I passed first time with Ian's instruction even though I wasn't confident I would. He teaches to a high standard and this showed during my test.

Fantastic experience: Very professional driving instructor, all lessons are planed so you know what to expect and prepare for, very clear instructions and repetes when needed. Great instructor all round. Would recommend to anyone in lancaster/Morecambe area.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class instructor had no problems whatsoever always reliable and trustworthy don't know what these bad reviews are about they must have put them on the wrong site I would highly recommend Ian to anyone thinking about learning to drive

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible! Would not recommend..very unprofessional in certain matters which he used to talk about and made no progress...he used to waste a lot of lesson time and felt like he took advantage of who was back then a naive 17 year old. Please do not go I have also heard a lot of negative reviews from other people who have used him!

Negative experience: Unprofessional instructor! had a smoke during my lesson every time. Some of the instructions I didn't find really reliable. Would not recommend him to anyone

Negative experience: Unprofessional, stopped the car almost every lesson to get out and have a smoke, felt like I made no progress over 6 lessons. Went back to my old instructor and passed within a month.
