Fantastic experience: Passed my test with 0 minors over at Nelson with Dave, He’s an extremely educated driving instructor with tons of little tips to help you pass your test- He’s also a lovely person to chat too leaving you with confidence on your test! Will definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Took 2 tests previously in Liverpool and failed both of them due to the standard of teaching; of which I realised having spent 5 months learning with Dave…. I passed my test last week in Nelson, my first attempt with him. His style of teaching, ranging from explanations with diagrams to practical examples really resonated with me, and I attribute my success to this. I couldn’t have done it without Dave, could not reccomend more!

Fantastic experience: Dave is the most patient instructor ever, before i started lessons i assumed he would be cranky and grumpy and it scared me a lot, but from the very first lesson he made me feel confident in my own abilities, he never shouts and he also spent a few lessons outside of his usual times to get me ready for my test, he puts the needs of his students above all else, and he adapts his teaching style based on his students needs. Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test after a 12 year break, and cannot thank Dave from the Valley School of Motoring enough. I was an odd case having learnt to drive a long time ago without passing the test which resulted in a few (a lot) of bad habits that needed both identifying and working on. He created a comfortable environment which allowed me to gain confidence on the road and consistently improve due to his constructive, honest approach to feedback and ability to adapt to my way of learning. Two hour lessons flew by with engaging lesson plans as well as Dave being an all round nice guy and really good chat. Some driving instructors I have used in the past have treated it as a job only whereas Dave genuinely cared about the person learning and openly reflected on his approach to lessons. If you are starting out fresh or you need to get back into driving I would absolutely recommend the Valley School of Motoring.

Fantastic experience: Dave is such a lovely human and wonderful teacher. He made sure I was happy with every step before we moved on, and even let me think through simple manoeuvres first. His teaching approach really puts a lot of focus on the learner and what they want to do, with him creating a lesson plan based around this. I also passed my test first time on Monday which is a big testament to Dave and his patience. Definitely recommend learning with Dave

Fantastic experience: I passed last week with Dave, and I'd recommend him to anyone learning to drive. From the first lesson I felt comfortable and confident with him, and he went above and beyond to ensure I could still do lessons while at university. He was fantastic in supporting me to drive independently without pushing me too far out of my comfort zone.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Dave to anyone wanting to learn to drive. His lessons challenge you to become a better driver and because of his excellent teaching I passed on Friday. He is also a friendly person who will make you enjoy learning to drive.

David always had a clear plan for every lesson to help me improve and always stuck with me and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my test. Fantastic experience: All these lessons I had with Dave was enjoyable where everyday I achieved many things and experiences what I need in my everyday driving life. Very friendly and professional instructor I would say. Never faced any late or last minute cancellation or anything.
