Fantastic experience: I recently passed my test having learned with Martin Fishpool. My driving lessons with Martin were always a very positive experience. This made my learning experience so much more enjoyable, allowed me to make a lot of progress and become a more confident driver in the process. I started learning with Martin having already taken my taken my test with another instructor, however Martin’s approach is unlike any other instructor I’ve previously had. He is by far the best instructor I’ve had - a great teacher, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He really takes time to explain every element of driving and road safety, preparing you to take your test and drive independently afterwards. My lessons were always challenging and adapted to suit my learning needs and areas of weakness. They also gave me many opportunities to complete mock tests and receive valuable feedback. I would highly recommend Martin to anyone learning to drive!

Fantastic experience: I passed my test first time with Martin Fishpool, he is unlike any driving instructor I’ve had and was always patient and kind when helping me fix my mistakes/ bad habits. I’d easily say he’s the best instructor in Barnsley and always took the time to let me learn at my own pace and let me go over areas I was struggling with until I was comfortable enough to feel confident with them. He really gave me my confidence back in regards to driving and taught me how to drive independently but also with the knowledge that he would be there any time I needed any assistance or guidance. He has great techniques when teaching difficult manoeuvres and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Thank you so much Martin :)

Fantastic experience: I had Martin Fishpool and I couldn’t of asked for a better instructor, he helped me with every aspect of driving and made sure everything was covered and if a mistake was made, he made sure that we covered it and got rid of it. Fantastic experience: I had Martin as my instructor and I can easily say he has been my favourite instructor I’ve had. He helped iron out any bad habits I had picked up and helped boost my confidence behind the wheel. I can’t thank him enough for helping me pass my test first time. I enjoyed every lesson I had and really started to enjoy driving. He explains everything thoroughly and makes it easy to understand so you can progress really well. If you make a mistake he picks up on it and lets you know what went wrong which really helps you to iron out that mistake and not do it again. Overall I’d say he is the best instructor in the area of Barnsley and I’d recommend him to any new learner looking for lessons. Thank you Martin.

Fantastic experience: Can't thank Martin enough. He persevered with me and helped me so much. After having bad experiences with 2 other driving instructors I finally found one that was lovley and patient with me. Wouldn't have passed with out him!

Fantastic experience: with little driving experience, I booked lessons with martin at pelican and yes i passed first time! (with only 8 lessons) In simple words martin is probably the best in the area. Teaches everything by the book but in the right manor! explains everything to a T, Works on things you actually need to work on, Takes time to explain the right and wrong. In a nutshell the experience was highly positive and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Top instructor, Top guy great place to start your driving journey!!

Fantastic experience: I had Martin as my instructor and couldn't have asked for a better instructor. He made it clear from day one how lessons would go and that he would do all he could to make them as comfortable as possible while providing challenges and valuable experiences as well as providing ways to access all the materials needed for the theory and practical tests. He also does very realistic mock tests which gave me much more confidence going into the practical test. If I hadn't changed instructor to Martin I doubt I could have passed first try in the same amount of time.

Fantastic experience: been with pelican driving school for the majority of my driving experience and i can say martin has been the most helpful driving instructor in helping me pass my test its all i could have asked for he’s made the whole experience worth it i couldn’t thank him enough.

Such an easy going guy, really helped me gain confidence behind the wheel and explained everything really well as well as giving me the learning material to help me pass my theory test first time. Couldn't recommend a better driving school and instructor.

Fantastic experience: I've only had Mary for about a month or 2. However, I've loved every minute of my lessons with her. She made me feel so welcome and she was like a best friend as well as an instructor. We always had a laugh and so relaxed but she also told me when I did something which made the experience amazing. Couldn't recommend enough she's amazing. There wasn't 1 lesson I had where I wasn't laughing and just chatting instead of doing lessons serious which my old instructor did. Negative experience: Needs to re-train their female instructor (with the pixie cut hair) who waved for me to cross the road and then as soon as my pram touched the road they then drove straight at me while looking at me the whole time. Disgusting and dangerous behaviour, I’d expect better from an instructor driver
