Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant driving school. My son was getting constructive feedback during each lesson, the learning goals were clear and achievable. Communication with instructor was easy and we were able to purchase lessons in blocks to get a small discount. Fantastic experience: I can wholeheartedly recommend Mark as a driving instructor to anyone who is looking to learn to drive, especially if you are nervous or anxious about getting behind the wheel. After a bad experience attempting to learn several years ago, I was incredibly scared of getting back in the drivers seat but within only a couple of months of lessons with Mark he had helped me to get my fear under control and to feel like learning to drive really was possible again. I always felt like I had a voice in my lessons and Mark was unfailingly kind and patient throughout, never pushing me to move on to a new skill when I wasn’t ready and always willing to try a new approach if I was struggling. He shapes his teaching to you as an individual and really takes the time to learn how you learn best and applies that to your lessons. When things didn’t quite go to plan, Mark always remained calm and ensured that I understood the situation and how best to respond to it in the future, rather than berating me for making a mistake, which really helped with my understanding and confidence. Having started my lessons feeling like it was not possible for me to learn to drive confidently, Mark not only helped me to pass my first test attempt in Musselburgh, but also to do so genuinely feeling like I had the skills to drive safely on my own afterwards. I really couldn’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: Mark is a fantastic instructor, and I have already recommended him to several friends. Throughout my lessons I felt supported and encouraged. I didn't feel like I was being rushed to get to a test, but rather working at becoming a safe and confident driver. Edinburgh can be an intimidating place to drive, but after learning with Mark I feel like I can drive anywhere!

Fantastic experience: I would absolutely recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn. My experience with him was excellent. His lessons were always very calm, well prepared, and he was always very considerate to my own abilities throughout. Each lesson was tailored so that it would be most beneficial for the stage I was at. The way he teaches also has a wonderful way in allowing you to reflect on how you are perceiving things, making it easier to move forward. The passion for what he does was always very clear which has a way of influencing your own determination to do well.

Fantastic experience: Mark is a fantastic driving instructor. After years of putting off learning, I finally convinced myself to take the plunge. I was incredibly nervous and anxious before starting to learn, but Mark really helped to settle that. He was professional, friendly and made each lesson enjoyable. Mark tracks all lessons in TotalDrive which made it incredibly easy keep track of lessons, progress and gain easy access to helpful guides and support to help me through each step of learning to drive. He also has some great teaching methods that involve self review and reflection and planning lessons collaboratively. He really prepared me not just for the test but to be a confident driver and I’m glad to say I passed first time - something I never thought I’d achieve!!! Can highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I took a few refresher lessons with Mark as I hadn't driven for years, and hardly at all in the UK, which had made me extremely nervous about driving. In just four sessions we covered everything I wanted to practice, and I now feel so much more confident about heading out in a car. Mark is really calm, and he's very good at making you believe in your skills. The lessons were completely tailored to what I wanted to practice, and Mark also answered all my questions about driving in the UK without making me feel silly for asking. The fact that his app allows you to book in last minute slots is also really useful. I would highly recommend Drive Wright Scotland to both new drivers and those wanting to refresh their skills.

Fantastic experience: Mark is an excellent driving instructor and I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn to drive. He delivers feedback really well and tailors the way he teaches to suit the way in which students learn, which I found really helpful. I’ve just passed and think that I’m a much better and more confident driver for having received lessons from Mark, and feel confident on the wild roads of Edinburgh (even in the current winter dark/snowy conditions)! We also practiced throughout the pandemic and he was really committed to the hygiene standards required during covid and was really patient and helpful when planning extra lessons and putting time in in advance of the driving test. Would thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've genuinely enjoyed learning to drive with Mark. Initially I was nervous and had been putting off learning for quite a while - Mark took this into account and he always kept me feeling safe in our lessons. The pace of lessons was matched to my learning and he also adapted his teaching style to suit me best. In lessons, he employs extra visual aids such as iPad apps for demonstrating types of junctions and also provides continual feedback on things that could be improved (and things that are going well!) during and after lessons. It's been a tough time to learn to drive with the Covid pandemic and Mark has been really on the ball with hygiene precautions while still being able to keep lessons going where possible in line with government guidance. I passed my test on the first attempt and overall have been very satisfied with the service Mark provided. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: I'm an American who needed some help getting ready for the UK driving test. Mark's on-line tutorial was thorough, helpful and gave me the understanding required for the UK test. He's thoughtful and prepared. I didn't know how helpful an on-line tutorial would be, but it was actually just what I needed -- esp as an experienced driver who needed a bit of coaching in the best practices required for the UK driving test.

Fantastic experience: I started preparing with Mark online for my driving tests during COVID-19. We have lessons through Zoom and it works really well. Mark has been able to put together lessons each week that cater to my learning style and my needs for learning around driving. His lessons are always well prepared and with plenty of good material. He is also flexible and able to discuss or answers any questions I may come up with during a lesson. His approach is very calm, professional and caring. He is quite knowledgeable and experienced on all aspects of driving, safety and testing. I am now very confident that I will be able to learn the material and pass the theory test soon. I also look forward to actual road lessons, once lock down conditions allow, so I can get on with being a safe and learned driver! Thanks, Mark.

Fantastic experience: Drive Wright Scotland was recommended to me by a friend. She knew that I had struggled with instructors previously who had heavily impacted on my confidence. Approaching driving I was incredibly nervous and hyper critical and she said that Drive Wright would be able to help. It took time and a lot of patience but Mark helped me reach a stage where I felt comfortable and confident behind the wheel and he also helped me to switch off the constant stream of criticism running through my mind. Drive Wright has made all the difference, and I have since recommended them to other people looking to learn to drive, especially if like me they are a bit apprehensive going into it.
