Fantastic experience: I am very grateful to Jane for helping me to pass first time on my driving test with only two minor driving faults! Though I wouldn't consider myself a natural driver (I am not a very practically coordinated person), she has been a great teacher. I really respect how she teaches you to drive safely, be prepared and comfortable on unfamiliar roads as opposed to just getting you to a passable driving test level and going forwards, I think those skills she has taught me will be indispensable whilst driving alone. I am a very happy customer .

Fantastic experience: After failing my test the first time, my confidence was knocked to say the least. I contacted Jane when I was ready to learn again and she has been super patient with me the whole way through, resulting in me passing second time! I have recommended her to my younger sister who wants to start her driving experience and would encourage beginner and less confident drivers to do the same. Thanks Jane!

Negative experience: Personally Jane’s teaching style is not for me. She is quite strict, I usually see that as a good thing but as a nervous driver it can be very stressful and actually lead me to make more mistakes. Her teaching style more or less left it all up to me to decide what to do, and as a learner i’m not always too sure meaning I always felt very nervous on what to say because if I got it wrong Jane can be quite rude.

Positive experience: After a bad first experience driving, I contacted Jane for recovery lessons. And after not driving for almost a year I passed in only 5 lessons, although she can be very firm and as a very nervous driver, at times make me a little on edge, she managed to fully recover my driving and help with my nerves by the end of it.

Negative experience: I didn't have a great experience with Jane. She shouted at me when I did something wrong, which would lead to me getting upset and making more mistakes, which would make her shout more, etc. In the second lesson I had with her she shouted at me so much I cried. That was what made me decide not to continue with her as my instructor. It just wasn't very comfortable and if anything the lessons I had with her just made me more of a nervous driver.

Fantastic experience: Jane is an incredible driving instructor and she truly understands how to prepare her students for success. After a disappointing failure with a previous instructor, I found Jane, and she made all the difference in the world! Her teaching approach was firm, yet incredibly supportive, and her kindness and patience never failed to leave me in awe. Her attention to detail and dedication to ensuring I excelled was unmatched. Despite having less than one month's worth of lessons with her, I passed my driving test feeling fully prepared and confident. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, experienced instructor. Thank you, Jane, for your expertise and support!

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Jane enough for new drivers. She is patient and friendly, which put me at ease in lessons and I had a lot of fun learning with her. She is evidently well qualified and is able to help you find a driving technique that feels most comfortable to you, rather than just a generic step by step on how to do things. Overall very good teacher and I will miss our weekly lessons for sure!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Considering where I came from, my nerves and confidence were so low to begin with, Jane never stopped encouraging me. Even throughout the pandemic she kept in touch with everyone. She taught me not only to drive but to drive well and safely. We also had such a laugh that my lessons didn’t feel so daunting and when I messed up she kept me focused. Would recommend 100%

Negative experience: I personally do not recommend Jane at the driving school At the Wheel.not the driving instructor for me I am a very nervous driver anyways and she seemed to make me feel really small in the seat next to her and I would be shouted at for anything I did.

Fantastic experience: Jane is the perfect driving instructor. She will let you do things at your pace but will also make sure to push you just enough to the point where you are learning new things all the time without even realising because you feel comfortable driving with her sat next to you teaching you.

Fantastic experience: My name is Gabriela and I would highly recommend Jane from At the wheel , she is the best instructor ever. I was very scared of driving shaking when ever I had to sit in the driver seat Jane managed to get me over this fear, pass my test and be a good confident driver. Never pushed me too much just enough so I can get over my nerves. Couldn't have made a better decision when I choose her to be my driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Jane to anyone learning to drive! She let me decide what I wanted to do each lesson to help me improve in the areas I felt most nervous in. She knew exactly how to make me feel calm, made the lessons enjoyable and she made sure I was absolutely ready before my test! The lessons were really easy to organise because she was only a text away:)

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Jane especially to anyone who feels nervous about driving. She always makes you feel calm and will never push you so you can learn at your own pace. She makes sure that you learn some test routes which also helps with independence for after the test aswell. She has made me a good driver for the future!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Jane enough to getting me through my driving test on the first go. Professional yet personably, kind and a pleasure to learn to drive with. Having had a negative driving experience with a previous instructor my confidence was at rock bottom and I was very reluctant to restart lessons, however Jane quickly made me believe in my abilities with her positive teaching style and made driving an enjoyable experience again. Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed learning with Jane, everything was explaining really well and always wanted to make sure I was okay with everything i had done! She also made the experience when I was driving like it would be after I passed as she would always chat to me about other things so I could concentrate on both things at once.
