Dwayne The Automatic Driving Instructor

Fantastic experience: When I first started driving with Dwayne in January 2025 I had very little confidence in my ability to drive after 3 failed tests in a manual car, a pandemic that made my learning process very on and off again and a car accident (where I was a passenger) so he had his work cut out for him with how anxious I was - but as ever he was patient, kind and considerate and taught me not only I can drive but I am a confident driver! I would completely recommend him as a driving instructor not only are you in safe hands you are in knowledgeable hands! I passed this morning and without Dwayne I wouldn’t have believed I could! Any tips I can give when you are driving - talk about what you are doing! Thank you Dwayne!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but genuine praise for Dwayne, out of all the instructors I've been with or known about, Dwayne is by far the best. He is down to earth, a genuinely good driver and teaches you not only to pass some criteria but to excel as a driver. He clearly has a skill for teaching and can teach absolutely anyone! From the very first lesson, he was incredibly patient and took the time to understand my individual learning style, tailoring each lesson to suit my needs. Fantastic experience: Having failed my tests many times, I had lost my confidence and did not enjoy driving. I was fortunate to come across Dwayne and he is instrumental in building up my confidence again. Presently I have had a few lessons with him and what impressed me the most, amongst other things, is that he does not prepare you just for the test but aims to make you a good driver for life! I would certainly recommend him very highly.

He would always explain and help me whenever I needed support in my lessons, especially on my first lesson when I was too scared to even drive. Fantastic experience: Dwayne is the best instructor in Northampton by far! Not only has Dwayne helped me reach my goal to get my driving license; but he has taught me to be calm and has been so patient with me, especially when I did not understand things. If I did not understand a process, we would work together to find another solution which would work better for me and tailoring them to my learning style. For example, he knows I like cooking, so he applied a cooking metaphor to help the process stay in my head when learning how to parallel park and it worked! Even the little things like putting on the radio during lessons helped with my nerves! He is very professional and genuinely cares about his students - he was always encouraging me to be the best I can be and motivated me every lesson to be the best. He has brilliant driving knowledge, great people skills/banter and he teaches you how to be the safest you can be on the roads. I'm truly grateful that I got to experience my driving journey with Dwayne, thank you so much for making it enjoyable and teaching me so much. Fantastic experience: Passed first time today with Dwayne after just 5 months of learning. I’ve tried many instructors and never enjoyed driving and had almost given up until I found him. He is the most patient instructor I have came across and I felt at ease straight away. He really wants the best for his students and will give you all of his knowledge and try different methods if one doesn’t work for you. Fantastic experience: Dwayne is the perfect instructor for learning how to drive, as he provides clear and detailed explanations within each process. He is also incredibly patient and calm, something that really helped with nerves when driving. With some experience on the road beforehand, I took lessons with Dwayne for two months and passed on my first attempt. I would highly recommend him for learners at any skill level

He encouraged me whenever I was feeling nervous and anxious before the test. He has a lot of patience and is always trying to find the best and most comfortable way for your driving. He really make sure, that everything what is going to come on the test will be covered, so that you will be prepared and do everything in and with peace. Fantastic experience: The instructor Dwayne is a such professional and agreeable person for me. He knows his job and a way to speak with people. He is very passionate in his profession and during my course of driving since end of December till now, I noticed, that for him is very important that we-learners get safe and intelligent driving skill set before we get on the roads by ourselves alone. Dwayne shares with all his possible knowledge of best driving that he possesses, because for him it is a big matter not just to be paid for lessons, but to convey his knowledge to his students. By nature, sadly, i can't rid of my appeared anxieties, when I somehow with courage decided to get a driving skill, I previously was very scared of driving that later I even wanted to quit, I thought that my inconfidence took over me , and I didn't want to overload my instructor with one more extra job being a psychologist. But I saw that this wasn't for him a big issue and distraction, I even noticed that he has an extreme abilities to calm people down and find a right conversation for problem solving. He persuaded me to continue my learning. He has very great technics and examples for teaching students with easiness. Now I feel very composed and confident at a steering wheel, though I still have last lessons to accomplish before my Driving test day. I hope I will pass, because you cannot fail with such an instructor, though I'm extremely anxious. Recommend!)
