Fantastic experience: If I was able to give a million stars, I absolutely would in a heartbeat! Anthony was amazing throughout. Down to earth, and able to put everything across in a simple manner for my brain to absorb more easily. I have ADHD & Autism, and so i have a processing delay and do silly mistakes literally fluently but nothing was ever a bother. Anthony was so laid back but amazingly informative in a gentle, simplified manner. Learning to drive with Anthony has been so fun & relaxed! I couldn't praise DriveAutomatic enough, honestly. It's truly a dream come true to pass my test.. because i thought i wasn't clever enough, and my brain doesn't work the same as everyone elses, i had so much doubt, but Anthony had more faith than I did, and today I passed!!!! Woohooooo! Thank you so much for all of your help, support & guidance throughout!

Fantastic experience: Never did I think I'd ever learn to drive, let alone in under 30 hours and pass first time! Anthony, I couldn't have done it without your patience, encouragement and excellent teaching skills! Thank you for everything! I'll never forget what you've done for me and I'm going to miss my weekly 2 hour counselling and comedy session! If I could give you and Drive Automatic more than 5 stars, I'd give you the effing lot!!

Fantastic experience: A brilliant driving school with a cool and calm attitude. I have Autism and found the idea of learning to drive very daunting. I started learning with Anthony from DriveAutomatic at the end of October 2024. From the very first lesson Anthony made things easy to understand and taught at a pace I was comfortable with. Not once did he raise his voice or get annoyed when I made silly little mistakes, if anything he was very down to earth instructor (something other instructors could take note of). I can't thank Anthony enough for giving me the skills and knowledge needed to help me pass my driving test and be safe on the road. I passed my test in February 2025 taking just over 3 months from start to finish and never thought I'd do it the first time but Anthony was adamant I would and he was proved right. Thanks again Anthony and DriveAutomatic for helping me achieve this.

Fantastic experience: I have just did a 30hr intense driving course with Anthony…. All I can say is thank you so much to Anthony! You made me feel at ease from the first lesson, you helped me to progress and gain so much confidence within the week! We also had plenty of laughs along the way I would give 10 stars if I could!! Helped me to pass my driving test first time! 100% recommend Anthony and the driving school!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Anthony enough, I was petrified of driving, full of anxiety, and with a bad experience with a different company he completely put me at ease, was patient and reassuring and built up my confidence, all in 22 hours! I passed my test today and could never have done it with anyone else. Oh, and he has excellent banter too haha

Fantastic experience: Where do i even start!! CARL WAGGITT Thankyouuuuuuuu ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ soo much for helping me through this. I passed today with 2 minors. Excellent driving school, very flexible and trust worthy. Carl i will forever be grateful for all the hard work and effort you've put into me. I would never in a million years think i'd pass FIRST time at Durham test centre. Also thankyou to paul (Driving Examiner) made me feel very comfortable and had a fun chat, hes very calm and enjoyed driving him around for 35/40mins. Forever grateful and i will 100% reccommend Drive Automatic to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of learning to drive with Anthony, he made me feel relaxed and less nervous from the very first lesson!. He is a great instructor who you can have a laugh with.. and has the patience of a saint! I was doubting myself thinking I’d fail my test but he was adamant that I’d pass and I did! First time. All thanks to him for getting me through it and making it less scary than it seems!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely over the moon. I still can't quite believe I passed first time! Carl is so calm and patient. I felt at total ease with him from the first lesson and settled like I had known him forever. He's had to convince me so often to believe in myself when I said I couldn't. He was always right. I am going to miss him and our weekly drama's and banter thank you Carl!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Anthony and Drive Automatic enough, for teaching me to pass my test, for putting up with me and for genuinely making learning to drive a joy. Anthony has been patient and understaning throughout, he made sure that everything was done with a laugh and my (many) mistakes were learned from rather than dwelled upon. Lessons were easy to book and communication was great. If you're thinking of learning with Drive Automatic, then I can guarantee you won't regret it or be disappointed.

He will use various methods to illustrate the theories and skills. Always shows patient even I did silly mistakes! The app for booking lessons and communicate is also handy and helpful. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had Carl as an instructor and just would love to say how amazing he made my experience when learning and how comfortable I felt from the get go. He knew about my previous experiences with other instructors and ensured me that would not be the case with him. For someone that has high anxiety when it comes to tests especially driving. tests I was never worried. So sad my lessons are now over as after only 22 hours of learning I passed today ! Fantastic experience: Today, I have passed my 1st driving test. I can’t explain how happy I am after the1st attempt. I do not drive confidently on UK roads and feel very nervous and scared. Anthony is my second driving instructor. He is very professional, patient and knowledgeable. He understands my problems and boosts my confidence by allowing me to make mistakes. When I make mistakes, he encourages me to be positive. He never criticises me and just keeps me learning positively and leads me to be optimistic. I am so grateful to have him as my instructor for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I hereby wish to express my deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks for everything he has done for me. In addition to driving skills, I will never forget how he has helped me to gain self-confidence. Fantastic experience: after having a bad experience with a previous company, anthony helped me gain back my confidence and faith in myself. had 50+ hours with previous instructor and felt like my test was years away. went with anthony and he put me at ease straight away passed my test today with only 4 minors. going to miss our weekly chats and banter. thank you for everything

Fantastic experience: Anthony and Hayley make a great team! Anthony is a patient, understanding, and supportive driving instructor. He's really good at teaching students like me who get nervous. He has a clear and organized way of teaching. Hayley is also wonderful. She's caring and helps with everything behind the scenes. I recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I had been learning to drive for 5 years and taken 4 failed tests . I though I just wasn’t cut out to drive until I had only a short time of learning with Anthony at Drive Automatic. Not only did he teach me amazing tips and tricks that even enabled me to parallel park 1st time , but my driving anxiety completely dissipated . Anthony Is not only brilliant at boosting driving confidence, but also helping with driving anxiety . He understands the various ways people learn and process things , therefore he’s able to offer a variety of teaching methods . I passed 1st time with him and I was the calmest I’ve been in my test . Fantastic experience: Anthony definitely pays his bills… I never wanted to drive as the thought of it literally terrified me but I bit the bullet and went for it. I’m so glad I chose drive automatic as Anthony is literally the best driving instructor you will ever come across. He is very patient and friendly and his banter is next level which puts you at ease.
