Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Adam was fantastic. He was very patient and understandable, making it less tense and nerve racking when learning. I did 22 hours worth of lessons, and passed first time with only 2 minors. Could not recommend the driving academy enough.

Fantastic experience: Great experience in my experience learning to drive. The under 17s sessions are very good for learning your way around the car before you go on the roads. The driving lessons are overall top quality and help you to become a well rounded driver! Ken is a fantastic instructor and was brilliant at helping me to improve and adapt to situations. I'm thankful I had him!

Fantastic experience: Ken is an outstanding driving instructor! He was incredibly patient, especially with my dyslexia, and made sure to adapt his teaching to suit my needs. His calm approach helped me build confidence, particularly with roundabouts and adjusting to faster speeds—areas I hadn’t covered much during my previous lessons in London. Thanks to Ken, I passed my test on the first try and feel well-prepared for driving. I highly recommend him to anyone, especially if you’re looking for an instructor who is kind, understanding, and thorough.

Fantastic experience: Had a few lessons with Adam leading up to my test today more for a refresher than anything else as I've been out of practice for the past 8 year, he has been absolutely fantastic, put me at ease throughout the lessons and really improved my confidence going into my test which has resulted in a pass! Thank you very much 10/10 cant recommend enough

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with the driving academy, I started when I was 16 and has a few under 17 lessons which really help me to understand the basics and made me feel a lot more confident when I started my actual lessons, I passed me test first time with 2 miners and I couldn’t thank Andy and the driving academy enough x

Fantastic experience: Had driving lessons with joanna and they were very good. Completed everything I needed to pass my test in good time including all questions I could have been asked and even a mock test. I was also only put in for my test when both of us felt confident I would be able to pass. Couldn't ask for anymore from my driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Always looked forward to my lessons, I had Darren Shaw and he was extremely friendly, calm and patient, never once did he raise his voice or make me feel rushed in any way. Always making sure to let you work at your own pace and encouraging you along the way. Would never recommend anyone more than him, could always have a laugh during the lessons which easily wipes away any nerves you could have. Genuinely a brilliant guy, going to miss my lessons because of the bond we built but happy to be on the roads.

He is so patient and incredibly encouraging especially when I lost faith in myself he has literally been beside me every step of the way through my driving journey. I’m so pleased I found the driving academy from the beginning it was easy to book lessons and had a lesson booked with Peter within two days of first contact. I will miss our lessons but appreciate everything he has taught me and will put it to good use!

Ken has been a wonderful teacher and to be honest I’m not sure how he put up with my constantly chattering throughout our lessons (but he secretly loved it and listened like a champ haha !). I was able to pass my test first time yesterday and it’s all thanks to the wonderful guidance Ken gave me, supporting me through times where I was too anxious and thought that driving may not have been for me, but it definitely is ! It’s wonderful to have the freedom of finally being a fully qualified driver and to be able to drive myself anywhere at anytime is the best feeling in the world. Thank you so much to Ken and The Driving Academy, I couldn’t have done it without you !

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise The Driving Academy and Andy enough. Due to past health issues, driving was something I never thought would be possible for me but Andy was patient, kind and supportive and he helped me grow my confidence and before I knew it I was so comfortable behind the wheel and ultimately passed my test first time. Andy has been there for me every step of the way through my driving journey even when I’ve had my nervous wobbles he’s been an amazing friend and mentor. If anyone is looking for a place to learn to drive then The Driving Academy and their incredible instructors are without a doubt the best choice you can make. The only downside is that I can’t keep Andy in the passenger seat when I’m driving forever because he’s been so amazing. 5 stars is not enough for how fabulous The Driving Academy truly are

I was with Andy for a couple of Under 17s lessons and those massively helped my confidence before getting on the main roads!
