Fantastic experience: If you are in and around the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire/Oxfordshire area and you are looking for some instructor training by a registered ORDIT instructor, then I would highly recommend Emily Johnson at Driven. I began my training with Emily back in 2024 and I can happily say that with her knowledge, wisdom and support I managed to pass both my part 2 & part 3 on the first attempt! Emily has been in this industry for a while now, so she is a master at helping to create client centred instructors who can go on to be confident and teach safe, effective driving skills for life. I thoroughly recommend this team if you are considering becoming a driving instructor as a career and I'm proud to be a part of a team that really do go above and beyond to support one another both as PDI's & ADI's.

Fantastic experience: When I first started learning to drive I was incredibly nervous and anxious being behind the wheel and I never thought that I would be able to pass. But with the help of Aliston I was able to gain more and more confidence throughout my lessons which enabled me to pass first time. He was calm, relaxed and was able to keep pushing me and build my confidence. I can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: My instructor at Driven was Edie Gardener. I can't emphasise enough how calm, comfortable, reliable, and informative my lessons were, as this is best felt when in a lesson with her. Edie would generously be sure to get the most out of each lesson, starting with recapping what was previously done, and setting new targets to ensure skills were learnt and consistently built upon. One thing I found particularly useful, was that Edie would ask questions to first reveal my own knowledge about a subject, before filling gaps, correcting, or showing me the technique with visual aids and tips. In addition, Edie was sure to ask my preference on practicing a new situation or building upon a skill, giving the options of guided or independent attempts, before going over what went well and what to keep an eye on in the attempt. I felt all of this really helped promote independent thinking and equipped me with confidence in the ability to approach and evaluate a variety of situations. I am very grateful to have had Edie guide me through this process. With passing my practical test first-time in no small part thanks to her preparation, support and guidance, I know I will remember her tips and advice for years to come. Many thanks to Emily for being so prompt and helpful with getting me in touch with Edie when I was first looking for lessons with Driven. I recommend Edie's teaching to any and all in the vicinity to experience this for yourself.

Fantastic experience: Monica is a great Driving Instructor! I started learning with a different instructor when I turned 17 and I had really bad anxiety when it came to driving. After learning manual for a while, i decided to change to automatic as I thought it would calm my nerves as I knew I could now focus all of my attention outside the car rather than worrying where to put my feet and what gear I needed to be in. Learning in automatic was a lot easier than manual but I still felt very anxious when driving. I sat two exams and unfortunately failed. I then changed instructors and joined Driven Driving School and had Monica as my instructor. My confidence grew and I began to slowly feel more comfortable. Monica would ask me questions and talk me through manoeuvres so I knew if there was anything I needed to work on/to look out for. After I few months I sat my exam and passed!!! I have now been driving for nearly 5 months and I am the most confident I have ever been. :)

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Edite Gardener. In the first lesson, she watched me drive and got a knowledge what I could do and not. Then she made me comfortable and supported me and taught me every single thing with reference points and all. She is patient and knowledgeable and professional and friendly at the same time. She tailored the lessons to my specific needs, helping me improve areas where I felt less confident and took enough mock tests to make me feel confident for the practical test. Our lessons always seemed to be filled with laughter and I always felt at ease. Fantastic experience: I contacted Emily after I failed my first attempt at part 3. Emily responded fast and we arranged to meet up to talk about what I wanted and needed. I had a few lessons in-car training and then Emily watched me do some lessons. Feedback was always spot on and Emily helped me work my way to Pass on my second attempt. I would definitely recommend Emily and I plan to carry on training with her, so when I get a standards check I will be better than when I first passed. Emily is friendly, helpful and her advice way always spot on.

He is an amazing teacher and provided me guidance for my learning in a very organised and structured manner. At the end of every lesson, we would Mark the things that we have done successfully and also he would provide me feedback so that I know what I need to work on for next lessons. Negative experience: My experience with their instructor Mr Gonsalves was absolutely horrific. He was very impatient, would start shouting at the littlest mistakes I made while learning and kept saying all the time that if I fail my test it will be because of me. I mean who says this to their learners. It was very demeaning and demotivating. I started my lessons with Aliston on my previous instructor's recommendation who unfortunately had to leave his job due to personal reasons(He was wonderful) and I enjoyed driving with him but I developed a fear of driving after a few lessons with Aliston. Everytime I had a lesson booked with him, my anxiety levels would shoot up. No wonder I failed my test. Driving instructor should be calm and composed while giving lessons while Mr Gonsalves was totally opposite of it. For anyone looking for an instructor, make sure he is experienced and has good recommendations.
