Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor! I struggle with ADHD and anxiety, and when I first reached out to Simon, I was extremely nervous—so much so that I couldn’t even drive over 10mph after being involved in an accident the year before. I was initially skeptical due to previous experiences with bad driving instructors, but from the very start, Simon’s patience and support helped me build my confidence behind the wheel. He genuinely took the time to understand how my mental health affects me, ensuring he could teach me in the best way possible. Even when I started to panic, he was always reassuring, reminding me to believe in myself and gently pushing me out of my comfort zone. Thanks to his guidance, I not only gained confidence in driving but also in everyday life. I truly can’t thank him enough, and I’m going to miss our lessons!

Fantastic experience: Simon was an excellent driving instructor. He makes sure you do not only feel test ready but also like a confident and safe driver for when you will eventually be driving on your own. Many of the things Simon taught me I have found very useful in my own driving and will hold onto for life. Fantastic experience: I started my lessons with Simon without having any prior driving experience. He helped me to build up my confidence and driving skills. Simon clearly understands what needs to be taught to become a safe driver. Any mistakes that I had were clearly explained. I enjoyed lessons with him and now I have a full confidence in my driving skills. Fantastic experience: Simon was a great driving instructor who I can't recommend enough. He helped me so much and his instruction was so integral to why I passed on my first driving test. He was very understanding and patient throughout the entire process of me learning to drive automatic. He is very knowledgable about driving from his prievous job in the police and that is super helpful when you are learning. He is very supportive and makes sure you know it is okay to make mistakes while learning and at the same time helps you to become a very safe and competent driver. His teaching methods are so great as it really allows you to learn all the different bits about driving easily and really allows you to get a deeper understanding about why the stuff you learn is so important. He provides so many resources that are truely so helpful for understanding the road if you have never driven before. Overall, I can't recommend Simon enough as a driving instructor!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough of Simon as an instructor. He was a great and patient teacher, who made everything extremely clear, as i was learning to drive. He gave me confidence in what i was doing and taught me how to be safe on the road, making me the best driver i could be. Fantastic experience: Simon is a brilliant driving instructor who has advanced knowledge in driving from his previous job in the police as an advanced driver. Simon genuinely cares about his students and wants them to be as safe as possible when on the road and it is something that is very close to his heart. Due to simons dedication and hard work with teaching me how to drive I managed to pass 1st time with only 3 minors. I would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Simon is the BEST driving instructor ever initially I was drawn to Godwin’s Driving School due to Simon being an experienced accomplished Police Advanced Driver I was not disappointed he is genuinely a very humble honest person and makes you feel very comfortable, I am extremely grateful I found him after a traumatic test failure from a horrendous instructor to whom I took several lessons with and wasted a LOT of money I was disheartened. I did not think I would ever drive again my confidence was knocked and my lack of knowledge became apparent when I became Simon’s student. Simon is very passionate he provides you with the correct tools to be a competent and safe driver. The whole experience was enjoyable and fun Simon has an excellent sense of humour. As a learner mistakes will be made but with Simon’s upbeat positive attitude (patience of a saint) he never penalised me for them but made sure I had a clear understanding of what I was doing wrong. I couldn’t recommend Simon more.

His detailed, thorough approach to teaching really helped me rebuild my confidence after a while off the road. Fantastic experience: I came to Simon after another instructor sent me to test when I definitely wasn't ready. From the start it was clear that Simon was a much more involved instructor. Coming from one where the lessons consisted of driving for an hour with minimal teaching or involvement from the instructor, the difference was night and day. His teaching style is brilliant, utilising all different methods to help you remember the important stuff. Not only that, but he is a great guy too. He is patient and funny, and helped me to take ownership of my driving and become a safe driver. I cannot thank him enough for the positive impact that working with him has had on my confidence, in driving and in general. Fantastic experience: Passed my test today first time with Godwin’s driving school. Simon is an amazing instructor and a lovely guy. When I came to Simon I had had a bad experience with my previous instructor which made me nervous and anxious to drive. Simon was patient, and helped me all the way and calmed my nerves. If I could give Simon more than 5 stars I would, he is friendly and easy to talk to. Simon is flexible with times and dates for lessons and is never late to a lesson. I am so thankful for his service and now I am a confident and an excellent driver thanks to Simon. I highly recommend him as a driving instructor and wish him the best with future pupils. Fantastic experience: I have been scared about seating on driving seat and actually drive all my live, but Simon took al the time to make me feel comfortable and confident that I can do this! His advice, experience and acknowledgments made me love my driving lessons. Sadly I had to stop the lessons with Simon because of moving house and job, but if could, definitely start them back again with him! Fantastic experience: The best driving instructor you can get! I had several driving lessons with Simon as I took my driving license 5 years ago in an European country and never drove since. It was to get back on the road, learn to drive on the 'other side of the road', and to gain confidence. Simon is a very experienced driving instructor, patient, professional and he encourages his students when needed. He has a positive attitude and he's honest with your driving progress. You can see he likes his job by giving you lots of safety tips which he learned during his job in the police. Thank you Simon!

Fantastic experience: As an older driver and not having received any driving tuition for a long time I contacted Simon to improve my driving skills for an upcoming assessment. With Simons' excellent tuition, patience and expertise, I managed to undo all my bad habits and unconscious bias. I improved my all round observation, increased my scanning/planning and believe I am a much better driver for the lessons I had. I'm certain that without Simons' help I may not have passed the assessment (which I did!) Thouroughly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Simon is a professional, caring and patient instructor. As an Advanced Police Driver, he has outstanding driving skills and safety awareness. He also understands how to explain driving techniques in a very clear way. I have learnt a lot from him and have enjoyed every driving lesson with him. Fantastic experience: Simon is a patient and punctual character, and has the students best interests at heart. His approach towards informing and improving my knowledge of the roads has made me a safer and more confident driver. He provides essential reading material of the DVSA's rules of the road, under the Bonet checks hazard routines, preparation and observation tasks, manoeuvring and so on. His thorough approach ensures no stone is left unturned whilst also keeping things enjoyable and relaxed, had I known about him before failing three tests last year I would have saved a lot of time and money. Even through these unprecedented times the sanitation of the car and his training have been impeccable, and as a result I have pass my test. Top man.

Fantastic experience: Being an international driver who wants to have a UK drivers licence, all I heard about UK driving test was that the expectations are very high and it was hard even for the most experıenced drıvers. So I decided to work with a driving instructor before applying for the UK drivers licence exams Simon quickly understood what I need and helped me to fix all my bad habits which could have prevented me from getting my UK licence. He is an excellent observer and a great communicator. He’s very calm when you make a mistake and doesn’t get bored to repeat the rules until you really learn. Thanks to Simon, I’ve passed the practice test in the FIRST tıme and with ZERO mistake.
