Rio Driving School

Negative experience: 7 years ago I use to take driving lessons from Peter,I wasn't easy to teach as it take me a while to learn as I have slight learning difficulties which doesn't meant that I m incapable off learning. Peter said he had to get an operation done in his arm which is why he stopped teaching me, I enquired again and after submitting my details apparently they are "fully booked". I m guessing that is only just for me, as any driving would like to have new students it is a business after all. When I enquire last year I was told by Peter that he will charge me over £50.00 pound want hour and won't pick me up from aldridge which is where I live, as he said it was too far I didn't buy that for a minute. Anyway the point is we all have different ways off learning, some learn quicker than others I will try else where. Good luck too you all.

Negative experience: Stay away from these money garbers,what ever they tell you is only and only for their own benefits, especially if you trust them they make you skint,they are more expensive than many other instructors,the most dishonest people ive ever met in my life,they simply waste your time and your hard earning money,

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend this driving school enough , Pete my instructor was fantastic he was very informative, and listened and explained your every question Made you feel calm on every lesson and most of all he was calm He is a top man in my book If I could give more than 5 stars I would

Negative experience: I started my driving journey with rio driving school i had peter chopra as my instructor he was a great instructor however i just felt we kept going over the same thing again and again i did around 67 hour of lesson and still didn't cover sat nav or bay parking also the prices kept changing whist i was with this school £57 for 1 and half hour of automatic is expensive i found a new driving school that did £48 automatic lesson 1 hour and half and passed with them

Fantastic experience: 100% recommend to others. I have booked lessons with Peter Chopra . Fantastic driving instructor, brilliantly patient and very friendly. Never cancelled lessons, always on time if not early. Peter always informs me about my next lessons few days before so I can easily plan my week ahead. Excellent in explaining things. Very professional and helpful. He is always calm and makes me feel confident. Peter is a top driving instructor. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Paul at Rio Driving school highly enough. He is calm, reassuring and professional. He not only tailored and focused the lessons to my personal needs but worked really well with me to help build my confidence in a safe and professional way. I hold a driving license but after having had an accident 10years ago I hadn't driven and was incredibly anxious to be behind the wheel again after so long. He communicates clearly, he is calm and reassuring and ultimately improved my confidence and competence far more than I could have hoped in a short amount of time. I give Paul 10/10 and thoroughly recommend him and Rio driving school to anybody who wants to feel safe and confident behind the wheel. Thank you so much Paul - truly grateful for all your help!

Negative experience: Well everyones just came out of a global crisis (COVID-19) and ur prices was way to high and deadlines was too tight so most people struggle to get lessons booked maybe drop ur prices and have a more suitable deadline for payments that way ull get more customers 5 lessons for £280 thats £56 a lessons just ridicules pricing that it no thought of those who are struggling due to lockdown!! And when i said i just couldn’t afford it at the moment to fit the deadline (28th march) i was told by zack (who was very rude and unprofessional) to never contact the number again and to delete his details just absolutely shocking and very very unprofessional!!!!

Fantastic experience: Today’s lesson on pedestrian crossing was very interesting Roy helped me understand the difference between each crossings and I’m looking forward to my next lesson on hill starts

Fantastic experience: Passed my test today; first time with two minors all thanks to my amazing instructor Gary From Rio driving school. I started with no previous experience and it took around 4 months to get up to test standard. Gary was exceptional; really knowledgeable and most importantly patient! He gave me the knowledge and the confidence I needed to pass and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Following a bad experience I decided I needed some refresher lessons.I could not have asked for a better instructer than Peter chopra .he has helped me build confidence on the road and was very thorough in explaining certain issues I struggled with ie reversing round a bend parallel parking u turns meeting traffic and clearance. I can not thank him enough for finally getting me back on the road. Patient and respectful I would recommend him to anyone . Joyce aldridge aged 80.

Fantastic experience: Having passed my driving test 5 years ago, i had not driven since and booked refresher lessons in an automatic car. I have to say Pete is a brilliant instructor, he really helped build my confidence on the road, and spent time explaining how to do certain maneuvers I was struggling with. I am finally on the road and cannot thank Pete enough.

Negative experience: Awful experience, decided to take 10 lessons with rio driving school what a big mistake that was! My driving instructor was such a horrible man and made me feel so intimidated to the point of tears wish I had taken 1 lesson as I wouldn't have gone back hated every lesson I had. Been as I live in Walsall and had someone from miles away teaching me to drive he would tell me that it takes him a long time to get to mine which is pathetic as I could of had a Walsall based instructor from the rio team. Would not recommend at all. Total waste of over 200 quid.

Negative experience: Found this driving school on Google and took lessons with them based on the positive google reviews. BAD mistake. Kuli, my instructor that was 5-10 minutes late for almost every lesson, that had his availabilily (weekends and evenings) booked for weeks in advance so all I could get was daytime lessons and I had to take time off work. I thought it was me that was not improving so after I finished my block of prepaid lessons, I gave up on learning but my mother bought me lessons with a trustworthy national chain of instructors and I passed first time. It was only after I changed instructor did I realise how terrible my lessons with Rio were. They have completely wasted my time and money.

Fantastic experience: After attempting to learn to drive with previous instructors (to no avail), my partner bought me a block of lessons with Paul Fisher after reading reviews of Rio online. Me and Paul hit it off instantly, he was friendly, patient and made it easy to learn, always finding an alternative method to teach me should I be struggling to pick things up. Most importantly though, learning with Paul actually made me ENJOY driving! I knew after only a few lessons that learning with Paul would lead me to finally gain my driving license. Over the next few months he helped me to improve my driving skills at a steady pace and develop the confidence I needed to be able to pass my test at my first attempt. I believe that it is due to Paul's expertise and guidance, that I have succeeded in becoming a driver - something that, at one time, I thought was never going to happen! I would highly recommend Paul and Rio to anyone who is looking to learn to drive!

Fantastic experience: I fully recommend Rio Driving School. I look forward to all my lessons, which are very reasonably priced, and I really enjoy them. I have been making great progress with the support and tuition of Paul; who is a fantastic instructor, has loads of patience and uses great analogies which help me understand terms and concepts of driving.
