Fantastic experience: Had my lessons with Mark he made me into a confidant driver I was honestly a bag of nerves my first few months of lessons he has helped me so much over my time learning with him he is a very good instructor I can't recommend him enough he's taught me and 3 of my daughter's he's probably sick of us by now but he's amazing always punctual, chatty you can have a laugh with him and he puts you at ease. Thank you for everything Mark I really appreciate it

Negative experience: Rang up to book some day time lessons as someone who works nights, before I could even enquire about lessons, the woman on the phone told me quite sharply, I could not have weekends, I could not have nights, I could not have manual in my area, even though I wanted Automatic... I did state that I'd previously had lessons with them pre covid and wanted to restart with them as they'd been really supportive, obviously they don't seem to be looking for pupils and I don't think I'd recommend them due to her attitude on the phone.

Fantastic experience: I passed first time with Mark and he was a fantastic instructor, explained things until I understood them and really helped me to feel confident on the roads after being so nervous about driving during my first few lessons! Couldn’t recommend Mitchell’s enough!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to pass. My instructor was Mark and he was brilliant. He understood where your mistakes were coming from and knew how to rectify them very efficiently. He can ease any nerves you have about driving as he is very down to earth and really funny. I wouldn’t have passed if it wasn’t for him. And it’s all thanks to Mark

Fantastic experience: Taking on lessons with Mitchell’s driving school was the best decision I’ve made, Mark my driving instructor was amazing he explained everything in detail and even when I was unsure he’d even demonstrate, he was always on time for lessons and then when it came to my test I passed first time with only one minor and it’s thanks to Mark.

He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and helped me become a confident driver. He puts you at ease in your lessons and has a laugh with you. I recently passed my test and it’s thanks to Mark.

Negative experience: Please please avoid these bast&&ds. Especially the old grumpy pig Mark.They don’t even know about minors and majors. Totally waste of money. Find someone else if you really looking for professionals. Scammers !!!!

Fantastic experience: Mark is a really good instructor with plenty of experience and knowledge. He is patient with new drivers and helps build confidence for his students and he’s great to get on with. Would recommend if you’re struggling to find an instructor.

Negative experience: Just overheard one of the poorest examples of customer service in my life. My partner making a simple query was made to feel awful. Told 'you are going on a bit'. I wish this was an in person interaction because I would have given her a piece of my mind. It isn't difficult to be nice and doesn't cost a thing, you'd think she asked for a free car but was simply making a query about lessons.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has anxiety and was procrastinating both the lessons and the test, Mark was an excellent instructor, he stuck with me throughout all of it and helped me pass first time!!! All I needed was that push. Thank you so much Mark!!

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons later on in life. Being 36 and wanting a female instructor locally, I called Mitchells and chose Zoe after a brief chat on the phone. We started lessons around September 21 and at the start of May 22, I passed my test first time in Buxton. Zoe is incredibly professional, patient, knowledgeable, calm and enjoyable to be around. I highly, highly recommend her. Thank you for all your help Zoe!

Negative experience: The instructor was very rude and his wife who deals with the phone was unprofessional He failed me for not looking the mirrors when I did look he lied and he also said I was driving slow well i was driving 25mp on 30mp zone I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone who is foreign They discriminate

Negative experience: Who am I? I am the person who paid £80 twice and used my car for 20 minutes to not pass the exam. I have a license for 30 years, class 1, I have no points and I drive 2500 miles per week without accidents. And Mark tells me at the end that I'm not ready to drive a taxi! The problem was because I am an emigrant. Now do you know who I am? You are rude and as an instructor your value is 0

Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with mark around February time. Absolutely loved doing my driving lessons every week, mark made me feel very confident and never doubted me once, explained everything in detail and shown me the best way around things, very grateful to of had him as my driver instructor, I have now passed my test first time :)

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons in July 2020 as I wanted to be driving for my second year of university due to placements and also because I have a child and I didn’t want to rely on public transport. I booked driving lessons with Mitchell’s and had Mark as my instructor. In just 20 lessons Mark had me test ready and I passed first time! I can’t fault Mark at all he’s a really good instructor, has a laugh with you every lesson and made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. I 100% recommend Mitchell’s to anyone who is considering taking driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I used Mitchell’s to pass my theory and practical driving test. Mark was very patient and the way he taught me to drive was the way I generally tend to learn better. Negative experience: Would nit recommend... very rude instructor and when I wanted to make a complaint I was more or less told ''you can but nothing will.be done'' I would avoid plenty more better instructors out there. On the back of the response from the company i would like to add the following. I tries going through the complaints procedure and the instructors wife deals with the complaint's. When i advised the of what had happened the response was nit so customer friendly. To be honest the instructor himself can do with a few lessons in customer service and try and smile now and again. We are paying him. I would stay away, a few others have had a bad experience and will be telling them to leave reviews.

Fantastic experience: Mitchell's has been really good teaching me how to drive! Everything was taught with a calm atmosphere and this way I learnt things quicker. Would 100% recommend Mitchell's to learn how to drive. They are ace :)

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend Mitchells's school of motoring. Manual car test taken. I passed first time with only one driving fault. Mark was a great instructor. Very patient and understanding of my nerves. Very well structured introduction and path for learning. Very qualified - just ask about the courses they go on! Really flexible and reliable too. All the hard work and support from Mitchells paid off :)

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Mitchells Driving School if you want to do your car test. Having started off on a motorbike, I was taught by a biker who is bike aware, explaining things in a way I *got*, was a good laugh too and made me feel at ease. I've had a couple of instructors in the past with other schools and Mark was by far the best! Passed first time too, which is always a bonus! Excellent value for money.

Fantastic experience: I have just recently passed my driving test for automatic and I did my lessons with Mark who was brilliant. I was a very nervous driver to begin with and Mark has been so supportive and easy going throughout.  He was able to make me feel comfortable behind the wheel and gave me encouragement which really helped to boost my confidence. Mark took the time to explain things through and explain them in a way which was right for you. I would highly recommend Mitchell’s driving school to anyone.
