Driving Lessons Tameside- with Carl

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend booking lessons with Carl. I'm about 6 lessons in and I have learnt quite alot already. He is Patient and encouraging.

Negative experience: Do not book with this instructor. I have always been punctual to my lessons, communicated well and consistent with my payments. However, I recently had to cancel one time because I vomited 10 mins prior to our lesson starting so I had to cancel immediately and apologised for the last minute inconvenience. This instructor completely blanked me after that and stopped communicating with me. I waited a week and called from a number to find out he wanted to end our service. I did not appreciate the immediate ghosting he could have just messaged me that he wanted to end our service instead of being a child and ignoring me. People think he is friendly and lovely until you find out his true colours. He speculated I was lying about being sick and thought it was a money issue, which is ridiculous because I have always been consistent with my payments, I don’t appreciate that he speculates instead of communicating, he needs to work on his people skills. He immediately stops lessons with you if you are sick and have to cancel on only one occasion. I find it very hypocritical that he can cancel lessons several times because of his health issues but his students are not allowed to? I think he doesn’t realise that other people can also be sick not just him. He has poor communication, lack of professionalism and understanding, basically dehumanises his students because there are other reviews where he has done the same thing to other students, I also believe he is not medically fit himself for this job because he cancels a lot of his lessons due to his illnesses.

Fantastic experience: Passed an extended test 1st time today thanks to carl. Great teacher, has lots of knowledge. He managed to squeeze me in for my last few lessons when my last instructor let me down. I defo couldnt have passed without carl he was realiable and patient, learning to drive was easy with him and a great laugh. Hes worth the wait wouldnt go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Really nice driving instructor, however I had cancelled my lesson due to being poorly as well as hungover due to a work-do that I informed Carl of (had rescheduled and ended up cancelling due to this as I didn’t want to drive with alcohol in my system) and he’s completely ghosted. I can’t get contact and realised he’s blocked me after 1 cancellation. Like I said, nice instructor and was very optimistic and wanted to reschedule and apologise on the phone. I’m completely blocked. Very upsetting. 2 star because he’s lovely
