Fantastic experience: James is a great teacher. I learnt automatic with him after several bad experiences with other instructors. He was patient, informative, timely and positive. He clearly cares about what he does and it really shows through his lessons. I was able to pass my test in October this year and it has been life changing for me to be able to drive. Would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn automatic.

Fantastic experience: As a neurodivergent woman learning to drive, I was understandably nervous and quite easily spooked to begin with. James is very calm in his natural demeanor, which I personally, found to be extremely helpful in order to calm myself. If I was having a tough day/drive James' encouragement and tips and patience were beneficial and well placed. James seems to have an innate understanding that people process situations differently and as such his lessons felt thoughtful rather than formulaic -with honest and constructive feedback provided at the end of lesson; I always knew where I stood and what the plan was moving forward. I would happily recommend James as a driving instructor. I've passed first time under his care and tuition. I'll be taking further lessons for Pass Plus with James also going forward.

Positive experience: I have started my lessons with James about a year earlier but then left James , completed self learning and passed first time with another instructor . The positive things in my opinion : - Good for beginners explaining everything in theory before doing it practically - very punctual rarely late on time or cancel a lesson - positive speech and encouragement which are needed for beginners Negative things : - need quite a huge budget As you will take too many lessons compared to other schools - no prioritizing / intensive courses for candidates who are getting closer to their test time. - repeated postponing of test slot - Inflexibility ; if you refused to postpone the test for more couple of lessons , the instructor will refuse to support and will apologize for not attending test with you with a short notice not enough to find other instructors So my advice for beginners , this academy is very good to start with But approaching the driving test switch to other test oriented academies as they prioritise you and help you prepare for test day in the best way.

Fantastic experience: I initially started driving lessons with another company 7 years ago. I then lapsed and didn’t pick up again until I found LTest. I found James of LTest and, after <20 hours, passed on the first attempt with zero faults. I highly recommend this company! Negative experience: I am not a pupil, but I was driving (just outside the sainsburys on washway Road) and saw one of the instructors from here using his mobile phone, paying no attention to the road

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend James enough! After previously having 40+ hours with different driving instructors and not getting the hang of it, I swapped to James and did 10hrs and passed my test 1st time. Highly recommend very friendly patient and just over all brilliant.

Fantastic experience: One of the best instructors out there! I first went to James around 2 years ago and he was great but unfortunately I failed which was my fault! I then went travelling and recently came back to the UK. I reached out to James again and we did 2 days of intensive driving course, I passed the mock test and then on Monday I passed my real test with only 2 minors. I would NEVER of gone with a different driving instructor, James knows what he is doing and is seriously one of the best instructors out there! If you need a driving instructor, then you seriously need to go see James without a doubt!!

Positive experience: James is a wonderful, kind considerate and patient instructor, I was a little nervous the first time but after my second lesson he made me feel so comfortable, and before long I felt like a proper driver, he makes you repeat manonoevers till its perfect and that's the kind of instructor you need, we also had a chat and laugh about random things and all the time he made me feel safe and competent, thanx James, I'll miss our laughs, you truly are the best instructor ever, all the best.

Fantastic experience: It’s been 20 years since my first driving lesson, with 3 different instructors and i’ve never got beyond 2nd gear or 30mph once or one time even off an industrial estate. I thought I would never get to a point where I would be ready for taking an actual test. It’s been 5 years since my last attempt at learning to drive and in January 2019 I stumbled across L test Driving Academy on Facebook. After reading some of the reviews, I thought maybe this is the right one for me. I sent them a message and James contacted me back really quickly. He took a brief history of me and driving and said “you’ve just found your last Instuctor”! He’s been amazing in less than 3 months he has taught me more than I’ve ever learnt before and improved my confidence immeasurably giving me new skills not only the road but in ways I can use in other aspects of my life through his coaching and calm approach I can’t thank him enough!! I passed my theory which I never saw the point sitting before as I believed I’d never be ready for my actual driving test and today I PASSED first time!!! With only 5 minor faults, I can’t recommended L test driving school enough. Thank you James you really have been the best!!

Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test first time following lessons with James at L Test. He was a great instructor throughout and was personable, reassuring and professional in his instruction and support. He supported me to become a safe and competant driver through his calm manner and supportive approach. Fantastic experience: I had my lesson with James and he was very patient and encouraging. In all the time I took lessons with him, he never once raised his voice or got impatient with me even when I knew I had just made a very daft error. I can recommend him to anyone with 100% guarantee that you will not be disappointed and say that if you fail, it will not be because he didn't teach you all you needed to know or teach you well enough but rather because you made one of those daft errors and you would know this yourself. All in all he is a great guy and a fantastic teacher and the reception staff are A-team as well. Thanks L-test.
