Fantastic experience: If you want to learn how to drive safely, confidently, and to a high standard, I would highly recommend taking lessons with Chris. Having failed my driving test 4 times with a previous instructor, I had serious doubts that I'd ever be able to pass the test. Chris was able to improve my driving skills and my self belief so much, that I just passed my first test with him, with only 1 minor error! To be a good driver, it's not enough to just follow instructions and rules. You need to really use your brain, constantly aware of what's going on in and around the car, as well as anticipating what might lie ahead. All while staying calm and composed, so your driving is safe, smooth and comfortable. I could never have achieved that without such excellent and experienced tuition. Thanks again Chris, I'm thrilled to finally have the freedom and independence that a driving licence gives. Couldn't have done it without you!

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mitchell Driving School. My son passed his practical today, so the journey is sadly over for us for now. Pamela is an amazing instructor, with a great sense of humour, combined with a no-nonsense approach which really worked. My son looked forward to his lessons every week, had great fun, and progressed rapidly. She is absolute gold standard, and the results speak for themselves. Looking forward to starting all over again in 2 years’ time with my youngest son.

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Chris to anyone looking for a driving instructor. He has a very calm approach which made the lessons enjoyable. He has very high standards and sets out to take you, not just to the standard required to pass the test, but beyond that so you really do feel comfortable on the roads once you've passed.

Fantastic experience: I had a bad experience with my first instructor until I found Pamela, she helped me a lot as I was worried because my first language isn’t English but she was helping me understand driving better. Pamela was very patient with me and my mistakes I was making and helped me understand my driving. I grew in confidence with my driving in a short period of time with Pamela and she had helped me achieve my goals. Would highly recommend her I can’t thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test the other day, first time and I couldn't have done it without Chris teaching me. I started learning to drive last year in June and when I started I was really nervous and anxious, but Chris was super patient, supportive and never raised his voice at me, which really helped boost my confidence in myself and kept me calm. I went from being a person that squeaked when I had to move anything in the car or turn, to a person who gained full confidence and doesn't squeak anymore! Fantastic experience: I recently passed my driving test first time, with 2 minors and can say that I absolutely would not have been able to do so without Chris’ help at Mitchell Driving School. As an anxious driver with difficulty being confident in my driving, my previous instructor was no help and provided minimal to no feedback. In comparison, Chris’ understanding nature and incredible teaching methods meant that I knew exactly what to improve on after every lesson, in addition to what went well (something that he understood was helpful in building my confidence). He never cancelled and prioritised my lessons when the test was close. He’s also very funny which meant that I never left a lesson feeling worried or stressed. I can confidently recommend him to anyone needing an instructor. Thank you, Chris!

Fantastic experience: Chris is an absolutely fantastic driving instructor. He was always supportive, making a light joke if things didn't quite go to plan - I was never made to feel bad if I made a mistake. This meant I always felt safe in the car with Chris, and I genuinely enjoyed every driving lesson. During lessons, his exceptional driving tuition exceeded the requirements for the driving test, for instance by exposing me to awkward country lanes, meaning I am now well-equipped and confident on the roads. Fantastic experience: Chris took me on on when I had recently failed a test and had very low confidence. He made me a way better driver and didn't just teach me how to pass but to drive properly and safely. We only had 6 2 hour lessons together before my test and I passed!!! I highly recommend Chris as he made me feel very welcome right away and he really helped with my confidence. I couldn't have done it without him.

He always keeps his cool even if a situation on the road gets a bit tricky and even if I started to panic he always used to calm me down and get me to concentrate again. Fantastic experience: Pamela is the best instructor ever. I had anxiety being a foreigner living in the UK for only 2 years, never drove a car before and never exceeded 40mph on a scooter in my home country. I never thought I could get a driving license as I was let down by 2 other instructors, but she believed in me and helped me get better until the day of my test - which I passed 1st time with only 2 minor faults. Our lessons were always full of laughter and she never made me feel bad about making mistakes - that made me learn to drive and to believe in myself. Fantastic experience: It's exceptionally rare to come across a teacher that changes your perspective on not just the topic at hand but the world itself, your approaches to your challenges and how to control them. Chris did that for me, his teachings so impactful and prominant my entire approach to my anxiety feels simplified and I genuinely believe with now physical proof in the form of my driving test pass, a challenge I thought for the longest time would be impossible. To any anxious individuals out there feeling disadvantaged in some way Chris is simply world class, I heartily recommend this driving school

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin, from the get go it was clear Chris knew exactly what he was talking about, his extensive experience and friendly personality was comforting for a young lad like myself getting into a car for the first time. This often daunting prospect quickly became a comfortable and enjoyable experience as Chris built my confidence in the car. The lessons were structured perfectly building me up as a driver and were often tailored around areas I felt I needed to work on. Chris was thorough with his training and insured I was test ready before even thinking about putting me up for my test which in all didn’t take long thanks to his amazing work. Passed first time and have been driving a month with no issues whatsoever. I just want to thank Chris for all his hard work making sure this huge step in my life and other young adults lives is achieved. I admire Chris for the fact he genuinely cares for his clients and wants to make sure they are safe and overcome this massive step in their lives. All in all an amazing experience and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking at learning to drive. Chris is unmatched in his knowledge and understanding of driving not only in the local area but all over the country. 5 stars from me !!

I have been kept updated with progress and was always able to get in touch if there were any queries, receiving quick replies. Prices are competitive and standard of teaching first class. Happy to say my son passed first time!
