Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Richard. It was a pleasure to be taught by him. He made me feel comfortable right from the start and always put me at ease when I made mistakes. We had plenty of laughs along the way too. Wonderful instructor, would happily recommend him to anyone. 1st time pass!!

Fantastic experience: My daughters driving instructor was Richard and from the very first meeting he put her at ease. Richard managed to accommodate her first lesson on her 17th birthday even though he was very busy. Professional, polite and supportive from the first lesson to dropping her off after passing first time. I genuinely feel that we were incredibly lucky to have found Shire School of Motoring and in particular Richard. As a parent I would have no hesitation in recommending him and neither would my daughter. We will be booking a couple of motorway lessons and lessons for our younger daughter in a couple of years. A first class driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Matt and it was an absolute pleasure to be taught by him! Very professional and supportive. I enjoyed every lesson we had, he was patient and extremely knowledgeable, always thorough and helped me get my confidence. Going to really miss our lessons. Highly recommend Matt.

Fantastic experience: I learnt automatic with Matt, and I couldn't rate him highly enough! Super patient, extremely thorough in his explanations and a lovely guy to chat to! I had a few difficult lessons emotionally and Matt was very kind and understanding. I'm a very anxious driver and never once did Matt make me feel like I couldn't do anything! I passed first time and I can't thank Matt enough. I'll miss our lessons together!

Fantastic experience: I had Dave as my instructor and I’ve had a great experience learning to drive since January. He was great in supporting me and helping me to build my confidence on the road and with all my manoeuvres to build up to passing my test first time today.

She was a pleasure to work with on the booking and calendar side of things. Wendy is a great instructor and really took time and care with my son, recognising his abilities quickly. Fantastic experience: Did my lessons with Andrew, I’ve had a few instructors throughout the years but never quite managed to get my driving sorted. I called Andrew and within 1 month he had me ready for my test. Passed first time and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without his support and guidance. Great guy and a really great teacher. Fantastic experience: Cracking job with my eldest and sometimes unruly son. A first time pass and great patience, including instructions of things for parents to work on in-between lessons. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic driving school, I have been learning since March and just passed in November with one of the instructors Mike who I can’t fault at all! He is an outstanding instructor as are all the instructors that work there. They’re all happy to help with other students and mock tests etc which is really useful. Would highly recommend to learn with Shire!! Thank you lots Mike :)

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic time learning how to drive with Wendy, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn to drive as I didn’t have the faintest clue on how to drive before April and am now looking for my first car. Thank you shire and thank you Wendy.

Fantastic experience: We were having a lot of trouble finding an instructor so were relieved to get a response from Shire school to start in January. It would have been useful to have a plan with a suggested number of lessons, but Richard fit in when + where required so flexibility was helpful. A discount on multiple hours would have been welcome! Izzy passed first time after about 22 lessons and lots of extra practice so we're very pleased and recommend Richard's expertise. He is friendly, reassuring and reliable.

Fantastic experience: Wendy is a wonderfully supportive driving instructor who understood my anxieties but also knew when she could challenge me so that I could achieve more. Wendy taught me to drive, not just pass my test, and because of that I would recommend her to everyone!

Fantastic experience: My son started learning to drive @shireschoolofmotoring with Wendy kingham in January 2022. After a few lessons I asked my son are you enjoying driving and how’s Wendy is she nice. We can find someone else if you like. His reply absolutely not I love Wendy she is ace. He went on to say she was perfect and wouldn’t have anyone else. After meeting her myself I could see why she was very calm and supportive and just what we needed to get that all important pass. My son is now driving himself to college. He absolutely can’t believe he can drive himself. Wendy taught him that confidence he needed on the road. Including motorway driving and a taste of driving in the snow. Highly recommended. In fact Thomas now misses his Wendy time. Thank-you so much Nina and Thomas Allen x
