Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend more! I struggled with driving for years. I had a few different instructors and I even tried an intensive course. I always felt unsafe and doubted my own ability. After the first couple of lessons with Andy I noticed a huge change. His calm demeanour and clear instructions helped me feel safe and confident. He respected my time and was happy to work around my work.

Fantastic experience: Overall a really good instructor, probably the best I've had. - reliable and ready to reschedule if needed - obviously a very experienced driver and instructor - very alart and could spot developing situations in plenty of time, ready to give pointers or ask leading questions about how to deal with said situations. - if the situation arose, he gave insights on more advanced driving techniques, explaining the rationale behind them - has taken the time to develope good, general reference points for maneuvers (parallel parking was a breeze) - put in the effort to organise an earlier test when the opportunity became available A really good instructor and driver in general. I would recommend him to anybody.

Fantastic experience: Andy is an absolute star instructor! He knew exactly at what stage to test which skills, and has a calm and direct way of feeding back and explaining road manoeuvres, situations and mistakes etc. He doesn’t hand hold all of the way, which is good, as it allows you to use your own intelligence, common sense, and make mistakes (where safe to do so), and learn through doing. I passed first time round, having never had lessons prior to Andy’s lessons. More importantly, I felt very confident before and during my test, thanks to the prep lessons in the weeks running up to the test. I highly recommend! many thanks again Andy!

Fantastic experience: Great driving instructor. I saw progress in each lesson and once I developed, I was able to choose what to focus on. Andy was really encouraging and his knowledge of driving and the test process really helped to put me at ease. I passed my driving test first time thanks to Andy.

Positive experience: I personally didn’t have the best experience with this instructor. As a new learner i appreciated the initial opportunity to learn with him. However after falling ill and my symptoms getting progressively worse during a lesson i opted to discontinue the lesson. To my surprise he had cracked a few jokes about the situation which i didn’t appreciate, (at the time not knowing how to feel/respond). Furthermore, communication was sometimes too vague and slightly unprofessional. After considering this and a few other factors that made me uncomfortable i decided to cancel all lessons going forward. (I was aware i would have to pay a cancellation fee or whatever u call it and was happy to do so). Again, to my surprise this gentleman wholeheartedly decided to respond to my message thanking him for the opportunity to learn with a sprinkle of sarcasm. Again, very unprofessional, not very mindful, not very demure. Now. call me sensitive but i do not recommend this instructor if you are like me and are sensitive to certain attitudes within the bounds of a professional learning environment. This is not to say he may be the instructor for you. Hense why i gave a courtesy star.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to say that Andy was a fabulous instructor, he helped me each step of doing the manoeuvres and especially the roundabouts.He helped me build confidence in my driving throughout my lesson ,although I failed my first test but the second time I did it I passed it but I like to say thank you Andy for teaching me how to drive and all the help you have done and I do recommend Andy as your instructor as he is the BEST in Bristol.

Fantastic experience: Very patient driving instructor. If clutch control on a hill is one of your biggest scare when driving a manual car, he is your to go person. I gradually overcame my fears without even realising it. Thanks Andy and keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Andy as a driving instructor. He was always very patient and calm; I definitely learnt lots in each lesson. Andy has a very good teaching style and made the different aspects of driving easy to understand. I always felt like I had achieved a lot in each lesson and I am truly grateful for all the support! Fantastic experience: Andy really helped me rebuild my confidence in my driving after not taking a test for four years, leading to me being able to pass with flying colours, would highly recommend to any learner driver!

Negative experience: I contacted the instructor to inquire about the availability of lessons, stating that I have completed about 5-6 hours of driving so far and was looking to book an additional 3-4 hours to practice driving in town. I provided the necessary details, including my postcode and preference for a manual car. The instructor initially asked if I had a test booked and wanted to use their car for the test. I clarified that I have my theory test booked for early May and have not scheduled my practical driving exam yet. The instructor then questioned my need for only 3-4 hours of additional lessons. I explained that I wanted to gain confidence in town driving with an instructor and would continue practicing with a friend. At this point, the instructor informed me that they prefer teaching students from scratch and that they might not be the right instructor for me. I politely thanked the instructor for their time and wished them a good bank holiday. In response, the instructor made a sarcastic comment about my needing "a lot of luck" to pass the practical driving test. Although I found this comment inappropriate, I replied with a light-hearted remark and wished them well. However, the instructor then threatened to inform other instructors about me and claimed they had the ability to get me on a blacklist. I find this behavior unacceptable and potentially harmful to my progress in obtaining a full driving license. Whilst I can't speak in terms of the instructor's ability to drive or teach, all I can say is they definitely LACK people skills and seems to be UNSTABLE. I would highly encourage you to think twice before booking lessons. I have reported this threatening behaviour to DVLA and awaiting reply. Stay safe everyone!!

Fantastic experience: My son learnt to drive with Andy and passed his test first time. His teaching is very thorough. Also, as a parent I found the communication good and he is very reliable. I would definitely recommend Andy to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: Having just moved to the Bristol area, I was fortunate to find Andy at the right time. I was able to grow in confidence and managed to pass first time! I thoroughly enjoyed all our lessons and found each of them as useful as the others. Andy is hands down the kindest and most professional driving instructor I have personally come across. He is an extremely patient man, which is insanely handy if you are a nervous driver like I was at the start of my lessons. Andy’s approach to teaching is completely tailored to you, if you aren’t getting how to do something one way, he tries another until you are fully comfortable. Anyone looking for a complete safe space whilst driving should definitely give Andy a call. 10/10 service, I don’t think I could’ve passed with anyone else. I wish him all the best :)
