Fantastic experience: Julie is a great instructor, I wasn't confident when driving but julie definitely made me feel comfortable even though she did tell me some gruesome stories . Not only that, she's the only instructor that allowed me to have my baby in the car so I didn't have to arrange childcare. Thank you julie!

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience learning with Julie. Her no nonsense, totally unflappable approach put me at ease and really helped me get the most out of the experience. I was a very nervous learner, really struggled with staying calm and focusing but she never lost her patience or cool, always explained things through, and also pushed me to keep going when I thought I couldn’t. Massively recommend her to anyone who’s looking to learn to drive and needs someone level headed to get them through as easily as possible

Fantastic experience: My daughter came to Julie after a horrendous experience with another instructor. Julie swooped in and taught her how to drive patiently. She took into consideration my daughters Dyslexia and made suitable adjustments for her during the lessons. My daughter has grown in confidence and enjoyed every lesson and today she passed with flying colours! Thank you Julie!

Fantastic experience: I learnt more in one lesson with Julie than I did in all my previous lessons with other instructors. She will teach you to drive to the situation and adapt, rather than robotic driving. This will improve your confidence massively, as you will understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. She is a very approachable and friendly person, and has top class banter. If you’re a nervous person, she is definitely the right choice as she will put you at ease very quickly. Julie has assisted me to get into a position where I can practice in my own car without the stress and panic of having no dual controls etc. Just under a year ago I was an incredibly rubbish and nervous driver, Julie managed to fix all of this. Thanks for your help!

Fantastic experience: It was a review that said, "teaches you how to drive, not just how to pass a test," which convinced me to wait for availability with JueL. As someone with a cautious predisposition, I was nervous about the reality of finding an instructor who would be able to patiently aid me through my concerns of the road. Fast forward to today, and I'm writing this review, having achieved the reality of: a lot of driving lessons, passing my theory test, and going for my driving practical test, confident and ready. Something that previously felt an alien concept to me! The first lesson with Julie was that I sat in the car going, "Oh my gosh, this is what it is like holding the steering wheel?", to slowly turning corners panicked about hitting the curb, all the way down to the final lesson recently where I'm driving 1 hour 30 minutes with almost no faults and pointing out the (many) hazards caused by other road users, instead of my own. Julie teaches you about how to drive with confidence. Not just how to pass a test. She challenges you to be a better driver than your last lesson. She will repeatedly explain where you can improve and draw examples/critique efficiently where you went wrong and can improve - and also where you went right! She was able to help me build up to my anxieties around roundabouts, taking the theory test, concentration on the road, rules of the road, and dodging potholes (because... Stoke-on-Trent) I've gone from one of her most nervous pupils to potentially one of the more confident ones, sufficient to say! So long as you give her respect by turning up on time and showing passion for driving and improving oneself, then Julie will aim to achieve your goals for driving!

Negative experience: Lack of communication, policies not clear, accused me of abuse to her which was incorrect. Had I have been given an option to pay for a missed lesson ( for which a week's notice was given) I would have! Would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I started my driving lessons with Julie in December 2023. I was a nervous learner who put it off for years, with Julie I felt safe. She gives very clear instructions and allows you to figure it out for yourself, which is really useful to me now independently driving. I had maybe 15 lessons in total and passed first time all thanks to Julie, would highly recommend to anyone learning to drive!

Fantastic experience: Julie is a fantastic driving instructor! When I first started to learn with Julie I had around 15 hours of driving experience and felt like I could do nothing at all… However upon switching to Julie I felt like I was excelling forward with my learning as she doesn’t just teach you to pass a test, she teaches how to drive in the real world and what to expect from others on the road! She’s full of patience and has fantastic little stories that are completely random but can be applied to driving and they do work! :)

Fantastic experience: Julie is an amazing instructor, she has taken me from a very nervous and anxious learner to a much more confident and relaxed driver. She has put me at ease and explained everything to me whilst being patient. Julie is honest and has always given me feedback and things to work on whilst praising me for my progress. I honestly feel without her as my instructor I wouldn’t have passed as she was exactly what I needed in an instructor. I have enjoyed learning to drive with a lovely person by my side guiding me. Julie also told me I didn’t need any more lessons and although I wanted to have as many as I could in the week leading up to my test, she told me I really didn't need to and didn’t book me any. I feel some instructors could have taken advantage of this Julie didn't . Thank you Julie for everything.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic instructor, I came to Julie after been messed around by a previous instructor, I explained that I wanted consistency with my lessons and I wanted a stern teacher, that is exactly what I got, from the get go she gave me the right confidence and believed in me, she told me I would not need many lessons and she was not willing to continue taking my money unnecessarily, I would highly recommend Julie as you will get everything what you pay for, she is reliable, honest and very professional. Fantastic experience: Lovely driver instructor, feel very comfortable around her. Was very bad with manoeuvres of the car before but she made me a very competent driver. I feel very confident to drive anywhere now; she teaches you how to drive not just to pass your test.

Fantastic experience: Came to Julie from a previous driving instructor and we basically had to start from scratch as I really knew nothing other than the basics. She’s the best teacher. She taught me how to drive calmly and most importantly safely in all situations. She explained everything so well and really explained the reasons why. She taught me not to drive like a robot which really helped me and gave me the confidence to go out into my own car with my grandad between lessons….She teaches in such a calm and professional manner even when I made mistakes, i never felt under pressure. Fantastic experience: After months of driving lessons with Julie I can honestly say it was a great pleasure and an honour learning to drive. Very professional, was very helpful and flexible when it came to booking my lessons due to my long working hours and my busy working week, finding me "always" an appropriate time slot wherever and whenever it was possible. Julie teaches at a very high standard, also was very supportive and understanding during bouts of illness I experienced during some of the period. Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time! 8 months pregnant! When I met Julie she knew I had a goal to pass before baby arrived and she supported me throughout. Very honest and realistic driving approach to prepare you for the real world. Negative experience: Another customer offered her £480 cash so she dropped me in an instance for missing one lesson for personal reasons, which i paid her for. I was unable to contact her until a couple hours after my slot in which she had already given up all my future slots without any attempt to even contact me or wait for contact from me. No respect for her customers, is just after their money.

Fantastic experience: Can’t fault the woman, she gave me a massive confidence boost while driving and helped me with my fears. anything i wasn’t sure on she would go over it with me until i understood fully. Made me feel at ease and comfortable when in the car. i recommend, couldn’t thank her enough xx

Fantastic experience: Words cannot describe how professional and amazing this woman is, after going through a year of bad instructors and after nearly pulling my hair out, I found Juel and she taught me everything I needed to know within 4 to 5 lessons, going over weaknesses and how to improve really, really helped me. Above all, it's not hard to understand that she's been in the game a long time and knows what she's doing, I passed yesterday with just a few minors and it's literally all thanks to her help. Fantastic experience: I failed my test 3 times 16 years ago and then gave up. I decided to give it another go in an automatic car, Julie was amazing, very patient and brilliant at what she does Gave me a kick up the backside when I needed one and I managed to pass my test 1st time with her. I can't recommend her enough as she gave me the confidence to go through with doing it again after such a long time. Can't thank her enough. BRILLIANT INSTRUCTOR.

Fantastic experience: Today, I've passed my driving test first time with JueL Control and I couldn't recommend her enough. ♥ Julie is an amazing instructor and strives for all her learners to use common sense, to keep learning, and more importantly, to enjoy driving. I looked forward to every lesson with Julie because she's got a brilliant sense of humour and she knows the ins and outs of driving like you wouldn't imagine. Driving situations can be stressful, but I am grateful that she taught me to COPE and deal with any hurdle that came my way. Julie also is super flexible, which makes you learn and develop your confidence quicker. Julie takes you on roads you wouldn't dare to go down. She will let you make your mistake (safely) but will make sure you resolve it and remember it for next time. Julie is the most genuine and helpful instructor I've met and I can say with full confidence and love that she's the best one out there (and I've had 6 in total, lol). Fantastic experience: Julie is AMAZING! after a severe car accident many years ago (I was a passenger) I was petrified of driving, it took me years to have lessons, several instructors, still couldn't bring myself to stick at it out of pure fear and the mental scarring from the accident. After finding Julie on Google, I booked in, had a few manual lessons then Julie suggested automatic...this changed everything! Nobody had ever suggested this to me or even mentioned it was an option...my lessons became enjoyable, rather than being full of nerves, I looked forward to them, Julie helped build up my confidence, made me actually believe in myself, taught me how to DRIVE...not just follow what you are told... taught me how to understand how a car works, and actually believe I could do it. I passed my test a week ago and this has changed my life....I never would of done this without Julie, she is an amazing woman, patient, calming, very understanding and I will forever be grateful to her. Fantastic experience: I've put off learning to drive for 6 years after a struggling with my first driving instructor. So when I found out I had to learn to drive for my new job, I was a little bit apprehensive. Then along comes Jules to give me the kick up the bum that I needed, and ten months later I passed my test with 2 minors on my second attempt. Jules was great, she put up with my nerves and stupid questions and taught me how to drive safely and smartly along the way. She teaches you how to drive, not how to pass the test, which means when you do pass you're not scared to be in that car on your own! Fantastic experience: Julie is a great instructor, I managed a first time pass with only two minors just 5 months after starting my lessons with her and I would never have been able to do it without her excellent teaching! Fantastic experience: 100% recommended...it took me a while to chose an instructor as I was so nervous starting from scratch and lacked confidence. I can't praise Jue enough! I have almost been passed a year and I can honestly say Jue didn't just help me pass my test she actually taught me how to be a good driver! She has the patience of a saint and always pushed me further than what I thought I was capable of! If your looking for someone who makes driving lessons fun Juelcontrol is the instructor for you! I always found Jue to go out of her way to help me fit my lessons in as I have a demanding job with awkward shift patterns. Also Jue pushed me to go for my test even when I thought I couldn't do it where as some instructor would of been quite happy to carry on taking money and allowing me to book more lessons.
