Fantastic experience: I contacted All Purple School of Motoring to enquire about taking some refresher lessons after not driving for a number of years. David got back to me the same day and we discussed my requirements in more detail. The lessons were great, everything was explained to me in a clear and logical way and really improved my confidence very quickly. David knew exactly when I was ready to make a step up. Fantastic experience: An Amazing Journey with Dave: The Driving Guru! I had the most incredible experience learning to drive with Dave, and I can't even begin to express how awesome he is! As someone who was a bundle of nerves and hadn't touched a steering wheel in about a decade, I was seriously anxious. But Dave? He's a total legend who helped me conquer my fears and boosted my confidence like no other. I signed up for refresher lessons as I already have a full Driving Licence. Right from the start, Dave had this chill and reassuring vibe that put me at ease. It honestly felt like I was cruising around with a long-lost brother. He didn't just teach me how to drive, he became a friend who genuinely cared about my progress and made the entire journey a blast. Seriously, if he ever gives up on driving, he could easily slay it as a comedian because his jokes had me in stitches, pure belly laughter! The thing I loved most about Dave was his ability to turn the most nerve-wracking situations into pure fun. My mind tends to wander into negative territory, but Dave had this knack for cracking jokes and making me laugh, which kept my anxiety at bay. He broke down all those crazy driving manoeuvres into bite-sized chunks, patiently explaining each step until I got it. Now that I've finished my lessons with Dave, I can proudly say I'm ready to tackle the roads with my beast of a car. I might even grow to love driving, who knows? Fantastic experience: David is a wonderful instructor who paced things just right and completely brought my confidence back after 10 years away from driving. If I needed any help with driving again I'd go straight back to him, and I'd recommend him to anyone. Fantastic experience: Massive thumbs up for David and All Purple School of Motoring. If you’re looking for a low pressured learning environment, this is definitely a winner. Lessons are structured to ensure you get the opportunity to develop and improve your driving capabilities, and it’s all done in a relaxed setting. David is quick to help rectify any issues he picks up on and is equally open to moving on to next stages when you’ve got the potential. I started lessons at the end of May 2022 having never had any driving lessons previously and passed first time January 2023. I’d recommend David to anyone looking at starting automatic driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: David is one of the kindest most genuine people I have ever met. I would recommend him to anyone who’s faced with adversity or any form of neurodivergence (or anyone who wants a lovely driving instructor). My experience of learning to drive was undoubtedly improved by my instructor and I couldn’t be happier to of spent the many hours I did with him. I was INCREDIBLY lucky to of learnt with David and I will continue to appreciate and apply the lessons (of life and driving) I’ve learnt for a very long time. I am sad to of left David even though I passed. If that doesn’t tell you how brilliant he is then I’m not sure what will!

Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor, you often hear horror stories from people going through multiple instructors to find the right one, I'm very grateful for that to of not been my experience David is incredibly knowledgeable in what he does and truly cares about your success and how you feel behind the wheel, he'll not only help you pass your test, but actually give you real world experience for how driving will be once you pass I was incredibly nervous to start driving and had put it off for years, and now I've enjoyed my lessons so much I'm actually sad that they're ending! Fantastic experience: Without a doubt (although he denies it,) I know I wouldn't have been able to pass without David. He is everything you're after in a teacher - patient, understanding and knowledgeable whilst also being able to understand my boundaries and nerves when it came to driving. After having bad experiences in the past with previous teachers, I was taught how to conquer my nerves when it came to driving and now feel extremely confident behind the wheel, thanks to David! After being extremely nervous on the first lesson, I soon began to look forward to our lessons and became eager to learn how to drive and pass my test. There was never a moment where I felt I couldn't pick up the phone and ask him a question, or ask him to go through something again when I didn't understand it the first time. 10000% worth every penny to have him as a teacher - and I will recommend him for as long as he is a driving instructor. Positive experience: I contacted David when I was going through my ADI training. I found him extremely knowledgable, informative and very easy to communicate with, any query I had was always answered, even if this was out if hours. I felt he explained the whole exam process to me so I knew what to expect, and he showed me the best way to approach it. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for all your help!

Fantastic experience: I really can't say too much about how excellent Dave is as a driving instructor. He is not only extremely knowledgeable on driving and road safety, he is able to communicate it clearly and in a way that works for each individual client. I really struggled with previous instructors because I can't multitask very well, I nearly gave up on driving all together. But Dave, without any difficulty in seemed, was able to tailor his teaching to help my slow processing abilities. He is kind and patient and you can't get a safer, more competent, or more trustworthy driving instructor. I really hope he's still teaching when I have children who are learning to drive as I wouldn't want to trust them with anyone else!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank David enough for the teaching he provided. I had come from an undesirable experience with a previous instructor and was incredibly nervous and anxious about driving. It took me a year to be ready to learn again and I don’t think I would have continued if it wasn’t for David’s expertise and approach to teaching. Each lesson was tailored to my individual needs and took into account how I might be feeling. There was no pressure or frustration when things went wrong but just the right amount of a gentle push to help my skills grow. David’s teaching allowed me to feel comfortable and confident in the car and now that I have passed my test I feel safe on the roads. If you are feeling worried/anxious/hopeless (as I was) then please give David a call - you won’t regret it!

Negative experience: Now before I get into the review of my experience, take this with a grain of salt, and it's your judgement at the end of the day if you wish to go with this driving company. First things first, I'm sure David is a nice person outside of his career, however, his attitude is very unprofessional. Sure, he was helpful at times but the comments about how he doesn't care what his clients do and how he brags on about his job and money are unnecessary and rude. The best way to describe my experience was unprofessional, and to sum it up in my own words: I was thrown under the bus after 3 hours (sessions are normally 2 hours, but he ended the 2nd session early [he put that Student Requested session to be ended early even though I said nothing about ending the lesson early]). Take into consideration that: 1) I waited 8 Months for these driving lessons, which was extended as David works with a small amount of clients before proceeding with new clients. 2) Instead of contacting me, the client, who was paying him for driving lessons: He contacts my Dad instead to say that he will not be engaging in lessons with me anymore. I was disheartened and had no say, neither no information of this decision. My contact with David had been smooth up until this point. This doesn't mean that I learnt a few things during my 3 hours, however, they are quite minor things. Overall, being disappointed would be an understatement, but I did learn a few things. Is paying David £70 a session worth it? Thinking about it: It's extortion. Looking online: I can get 10 lessons for £200, which would save me a lot of money. Is it worth going with All Purple School of Motoring? If you think someone who talks like he's up at the pub is ok for a profession, then sure. I'm giving a 2 star review. Maybe I'm being too honest but that's for you as the reader to decide. I'm not angry at David, I'm disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Great instruction provided by David to help me pass the driving test. Having driven a lot out of UK, it was difficult for me to adjust to the rules here. However, David's teaching methods helped improve my confidence, planning and anticipation. Having had a poor experinece with another instructor before, I can totally see the true value in David's approach to teaching. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend David highly enough. After failing my test multiple times, I had almost given up with driving, and then David came along. From the very first lesson I knew that I would pass with him! He is a calm, supportive instructor, who changes his teaching style to suit you. Every lesson I grew in confidence and skill, and I love that David always talked though our lesson plan at the start and end of every lesson. No question was too silly, and I felt very comfortable in the car with him. Learning to drive with David was so much fun, and I really looked forward to every lesson. Fantastic experience: I must say. Has the patience of a saint. Great at explaining the lesson, summarising before and after each lesson. Patience was a big winner here, I'm the kind of person that would order my car before I had a licence and so I like to jump ahead. David was able to take that on board and use my impatience as a way to help check my mirrors more often which was something that I struggled with. I will definitely book my pass plus with him.
