Fantastic experience: The monarch school of motoring was a 5 star plus experience for my son learning to drive Tim heads a professional and friendly school. Planning of lessons was never an issue, adapting it to college and sporting commitments, the process was always led in a very organized manner. Building up a rapport and great instructor/learner driving relationship led my son to pass first time with a prefect score, this was down to Tim guiding and giving my son confidence in which to do so. Jon Stubbings was also a great support to my son during this time. Jon taking on experience of my sons lessons whilst he undergoes his instructor training I know benefited, my son and Jon a great deal. Which I know will lead Jon on to become an amazing instructor as Tim has been. Thank you Tim for making the experience with yourselves such a pleasurable one and giving my son a valuable skill for life!! Amazing!!

Fantastic experience: Tim is a great instructor who supported me through my months of learning, he is very patient and I always felt comfortable at all times. He helped me and worked hard to ensure I got my driving test booked for when I was home and available. He made sure I was confident and test ready and it all paid off and I passed first time!

Fantastic experience: I had two instructors previously and struggled with both of them. I found their style of teaching didn’t mix well with how I learn and ended up putting off driving for another 5 years. I gave it another go after a friend recommended going with Tim, he is a top guy, constructive, makes you feel comfortable in the car, easy to get a long with and most importantly a great instructor. Proud to say that I passed first time with Tim’s help and thoroughly enjoyed the process, could not recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons on my birthday which my instructor, Tim, did on a Saturday despite his availability window not typically being on that day. I looked forward to all my lessons and never found Tim to be too strict, forgiving or irritable. It never felt tense in the car as we would have conversations about life and interests when we could, easing nerves if I ever felt my driving was rough. I couldn’t have asked for a better school to teach from and for a better instructor. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Tim is quite honestly the most patience driving instructor ever. After taking me on from another instructor and having to correct a lot of mistakes I was making, we finally got through to test ready - only for the pandemic to hit and stall everything. I dealt with Driving Anxiety after failing my test and he helped me get through it and overcome my fears. He was contactable throughout and as flexible with my lessons when I needed to change things. Cannot recommend them enough!!!

Whether you've had 100 road hours or none, Tim makes no assumptions of your current driving ability. He teaches the exercise from the ground up and provides thorough yet easy-to-digest explanations that make you a better driver with every lesson. I only had a few lessons with Tim after learning with another instructor. However, I can confidently say that Tim's ability to teach will provide you with an excellent understanding of driving a manual car and make you feel equipped to deal with any situation on the road. I passed my test this morning with Tim, and I couldn't be more grateful to have had such an excellent instructor! It's been a pleasure, and I couldn't recommend Tim enough! Fantastic experience: Hi I am karthikeyini, I have got my driving license today. I was taught by Mr.Tim peace (Monarch School of Motoring). Tim is an excellent teacher. He first observes the learner’s ability and prepares a plan that is suitable for that particular learner. I was a bit slow to catch-up with my driving but he never loses his patience when teaching me. He comes up with different ways that can make car driving easier for me. He makes sure your driving is safe and confident. Now I can drive safely with confidence. He is an amazing driving instructor. Today I passed my driving test on the first attempt with only 5 minor faults. Fantastic experience: Tim Preece came to the rescue, fine tuning my skills, reasssuring and calming my nerves so I managed to pass today. Experienced, cool calm and no nonsense coach, highly recommended if you want to get rid of that L plate and start driving independently. Reasonable and effective instructor who is thorough and knows Colchester well. He adapts to learner ability confidently and likes a challenge - he must do he survived me lol. Fantastic experience: WOOOOHOOOOO, I passed my driving test the first time with Monarch School of Motoring (Colchester), with the skilful help from my amazing instructor Tim Preece. Tim had the hard task of teaching a motorbike rider with over 20 years’ experience on the road with two wheels to learn all over again on four wheels. The lessons where well-constructed allowing myself as a complete beginner to be relaxed and feel in control of a car environment. The style Tim has is not only driving safely but provides a modern style of driving through knowledge and giving you an understanding of the hazards on our roads today. This really helped me become a safe, confident and better driver both in the car and on the motorbike from my experience learning from Tim. A true professional, a credit to Monarch School of Motoring (Colchester) and his profession. I will miss my Saturday mornings now.
