After years of on-and-off lessons due to lockdowns, I had built up a lot of anxiety around driving and genuinely didn’t think I’d ever be able to drive. From the very first lesson, Ben was incredibly patient, understanding, and supportive. He always considered my mental well-being and created a calm and safe environment for me to build my confidence. His teaching style is clear, encouraging, and professional, and he really knows how to adapt to his students’ needs. If you’re feeling nervous about driving or think you won’t be able to do it, I cannot recommend Ben enough He made something I thought was impossible a reality!

Fantastic experience: Had my test today and thankfully passed because of Ben. it was a month and half before my test and I still had no instructor or anyone to get me there, however I found Ben and he took me under his wing giving me every possible slot he has. It’s because of him I now have a license he goes through everything more than once and also shows you how to do it, he is very patient with you. I highly recommend Thankyou Ben

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with this driving instructor. I never write bad reviews, or reviews in general but I feel compelled to share my thoughts to warn others. From the moment I entered the car, the atmosphere was tense. The instructor seemed off, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was frustrated or disinterested. As a learner driver, I was understandably nervous and not familiar with the older car he was using. Instead of guiding me through my mistakes, he responded with passive-aggressive comments and random personal questions, which only added to my discomfort. I felt like he expected me to know everything, despite being a beginner. His attitude was judgmental, making me feel even more anxious and unfocused. The driving lesson was filled with long, awkward silences, and I struggled to concentrate on the road while dealing with his relentless personal questioning. He frequently interrupted my focus with questions like “What do you think about change?” It felt as though he was probing for something deeper, perhaps trying to figure out why I was so blunt, but he failed to recognise that his own behaviour was the source of my discomfort. I cannot recommend this instructor, especially to those who are new to driving and may already feel vulnerable. There are plenty of other instructors who are patient, understanding, and supportive. Save yourself the trouble and look for someone who actually wants to help you succeed rather than belittling you.

Fantastic experience: I completed 10 lessons (20 hours) with Ben, he was extremely helpful and was the reason for me passing my test. He taught me every thing I needed to know about being on the road and how to stay safe, all whilst building a good, chatty bond overtime. He adapted perfectly to how I would personally get the most out of his teaching. Highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: I met Amigo driving school on March 2024, I had the best experience ever with Amigo driving school. The one thing that stood out the most was the fact that the instructor designed the lessons according to my needs and my cormfotability. Amigo driving school got out of their way to help me aquire my drivers licence in 2 a period of 2 months by taking me to Wales from England to take my driving test. Well done Amigo, keep up with the good service

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Amigo driving more!! Ben is the most amazing driving instructor ever. He is patient, engaging and a really great communicator. He makes sure that his instruction is personalised to you. I found his way of teaching very helpful as I felt like he really knew what he was talking about. He also gives very helpful feedback which made me more confident in my driving. I wouldn’t have been able to pass first time without him as my instructor! Anyone who has him as an instructor and uses his teaching well will definitely pass!

Fantastic experience: Beni was an amazing instructor. As an older learner i was very nervous but Beni was so patient and would take the time to explain everything and used a book so you could visually see what he was explaining. He made me feel confident in myself and my driving even when i was not. The mock tests that he carried out with me were great. I would highly recommend Beni to anyone.

I put it off for many years but after a couple failed attempts last year, and then just 2 months of lessons with this instructor, it’s now done! First time with Ben. Thanks very much, I highly recommend this guy for learning to drive in the area.

Fantastic experience: From the first lesson, Ben was able to adapt his teaching to my personality and gave confidence to drive without hesitating. Ben was welcoming to my lesson plans, but always had a backup just in case I wasn’t sure what to work on. He is also very well organised and tracks progress along the way. He’s a very patient instructor and I would especially recommend Amigo Driving School to beginners as well, because Ben teaches strong and lasting fundamental skills and shows how to effectively apply them on the road.

No over the top shouting or nagging just relaxed driving the way it should be. If you are looking for an instructor this should be it. Fantastic experience: I passed my test a few hours ago having just 3 minor faults! I found Ben after a very bad experience with another driving school and it was the best that could have happened! He helped me to recover the confidence in myself. Being prepared for the test normally takes months and it is important to have a person that not just teaches you properly but makes you feel confortable so you can really enjoy the experience, it is like having a AMIGO (friend) as an instructor. His commitment, the way he teaches and his good mod made every class worth it. He makes sure that you know every possible detail that could make you fail, so when you take the test there won’t be surprises. If this is not enough, he speaks Spanish too, so if this is your Native language this will help you out to have a better understanding about everything. I highly recommend hin! No doubts. ________________ Encontré a Ben luego de una muy mala experiencia con otro instructor y la verdad fue lo mejor que me ha pasado. Para muchos obtener la licencia de conducir resulta un sacrificio económico y una meta que nos puede tomar meses y Ben hizo que todo ese sacrificio valiera la pena. Hace un par de horas presente mi test y he pasado (con 3 fallos menores). El esfuerzo en equipo, el compromiso, la técnica de enseñanza y la buena vibra en cada una de las clases hicieron que llegara al día de mi prueba con confianza y serenidad y es que Ben deja todo super claro y explicado y repasa cada detalle que sin duda alguna eleva las posibilidades de aprobar. Sin contar a demás de la buena persona que es a parte de buen instructor. Me la he pasado genial en cada clase donde realmente me he sentido acompañada por un AMIGO en el proceso. Y como para hacerlo más perfecto, el hecho de que Ben habla español me hizo sentir 1000 veces mas cómoda. Recibir todas las instrucciones en mi lengua nativa hizo que todo me quedara muy claro captando así cada detalle de lo explicado por Ben para luego practicar para la prueba recibiendo las instrucciones en Ingles y así familiarizarme con cada termino. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Beni enough for helping me out with getting my drivers license. I have suddenly gotten a reschedule appointment for an exam so I had a week to prepare after previous failed attempts and I had to find a new instructor. I reached out to Beni as per my friend’s recommendation and he responded ASAP and said he could help on such a short notice. I only got to take a two hours long lesson with him + an hour before my test and he has given me such a valuable time that definitely contributed towards me passing. He could easily recognize the areas I was good at and the areas I needed to work on and helped my nerves before the exam. I recommend him 1000/10, he will personalize all of your learning progress to how you learn the best. I’ve never had such fun driving lessons before than I did with Beni!

Fantastic experience: I was struggling to get my driving license for a year. I failed my first attempt because I was very nervous. I rebooked my test, but my previous instructor told me with a short notice that he wouldn’t make it, so I had two options, postpone it (The test had been booked 8 months ago) or find someone else. This second one was very hard since every instructor is very busy nowadays. Hopefully, I found Ben and he replied straight away. We had just 6 classes before the exam, but he was able to teach me to improve my driving skills based on security and previous planning of all my moves (scan and learn the road first, then act), but besides of it, he prepared me how to control my nerves during the exam, which was my main enemy. The classes weren’t only about driving skills, but also about learning how to control my emotions. Also, all his tips and the roads we practice were just perfect for the exam. I not only passed my exam but also definitely become a better driver, and Ben I thanks that to you amigo!

His enthusiasm for the job made this easy as well as enjoyable. His way of thinking and helping you understand the driving and moving past your mistakes is very unique and is one of the things I found so appealing.
