Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for my driving instructor Nigel, who has been nothing short of amazing throughout my learning journey. As a nervous driver, I was initially worried about getting behind the wheel, but his professionalism and patience put me completely at ease. He takes the time to explain things clearly and calmly, ensuring I never feel rushed or overwhelmed. His approach is always supportive and encouraging, which has given me the confidence to progress at my own pace. He is incredibly attentive to my needs, helping me work through challenges in a way that feels manageable. I truly appreciate how he tailors each lesson to address my specific concerns, making each session feel like a positive experience. I have passed my test on my first try today with only three faults!!!! If you're looking for a driving instructor who is both professional and patient, I highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: After a rather negative experience with a previous driving instructor we thankfully then found Leo! He came very highly recommended when i posted on fb asking for suggestions for a driving instructor who teaches in an automatic. Leo was very accommodating with getting my daughter booked in for some lessons working around her work and social schedule! From the very start he put her at ease and her confidence soared! She came home after every lesson buzzing and looking forward to the next which was a breathe of fresh air! She said Leo was so patient, kind and friendly and she learnt so much in such a short time. A few weeks later my daughter passed her test with only 3 minors! We are so grateful to Leo and will not hesitate to recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who asks!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to ACE Driving School I've now got my confidence back to drive again after 18 years, having just retired to Eastbourne from London! My initial nerves were completely dispelled by my instructor as I was made to feel at ease and I actually ended up thoroughly enjoying my lessons and being back behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: Today I passed my driving test first time with Leo and overall done around 20 hours of driving. He has always been very patient with me and has made me feel very comfortable. His explanations are in depth and he’s very encouraging when it comes to improving your driving. The car which ACE driving school uses is also a very nice car to drive when learning. 100% would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I started taking lessons with Leo as his flexibility was perfect around my Monday-Friday 8 till 5 and every lesson has been a pleasure. He helped me to feel so confident on the road and had so much patience on the occasional mistakes I would make (which instructors I’d been with in the past were not). On the day of my test Leo helped with the anxiety I had (as I’ve always struggled in test settings) and reassured me and I passed first time! I could not recommend him enough and wish I’d found him much sooner!! Thank you again for all your help Leo!

Fantastic experience: I thought I hated driving until I was recommended ace automatic, Leo has been so kind and patient ( very patient through all of my menty b’s ) and never ever gave up on me even when I nearly gave up on myself after trying to drive for what felt like forever! Leo is genuinely the most kind hearted patient person I never ever would’ve been able to pass my test without his constant support and help. Best driving instructor I could’ve asked for :)

Fantastic experience: Nigel has been a fantastic instructor, he has taught both my daughter and myself, and we was both very nervous learners to begin with, however Nigel has been amazingly patient and kind, he has a natural easy going nature which makes you feel relaxed and creates a great learning environment. Reading the comment below regarding Nigels back injury I have to strongly disagree; Nigel did hurt his back, he communicated that to us in a timely manor and continued to communicate throughout the time he was unable to work. I was contacted to commence lessons again as soon as he was able to do so. He did mention to me that he was told by the specialist that he SHOULD retire to prevent further injury/complications, but that he was unable to do so due to financial constraints, much like 99% of us wouldn't be able to do so either! I would 100% recommend Nigel to all my family and friends.

Negative experience: I was having lessons with Ace Automatic for a while and have been completely let down by Nigel. I was told that I was test ready and wouldn't need weekly lessons but I said I wanted to keep up with lessons. Nigel then went off sick prior to my test and told me as i had my test booked I should find another instructor. I felt happy to continue with Nigel, rather than starting again with some one else. Nigel then told me he was told to retire due to ill health - which is clearly a lie. Sadly. I cannot recommend Nigel as a driving instructor, he let me down, he lied and by the looks of it I am not the first person he has done this to.

Fantastic experience: Nigel was such a great instructor. At times, I could be a little 'frantic'(!) but Nigel was always always always so calm and would make jokes if I felt I'd done something wrong to calm me before stopping to explain. He has a variety of teaching methods and always chooses the most appropriatepne for the learner and is extremely patient with his explanation. I always felt extremely comfortable driving with Nigel and really really enjoyed it too. Aside from being a fantastic instructor, he's also a wicked person with a brilliant sense of humour. Fantastic experience: After having a lot of driving lessons over a few years in a manual, I decided to try driving lessons in an automatic. Nigel has made the transition to automatic very easy! He is very friendly, welcoming and patient. I've only had one lesson so far and yet feel a lot more confident already, it was a great first lesson! Rather than dreading my next driving lesson, I'm very much looking forward to it!

He is patient , very understanding, makes me feel ' I can do this ' . Fantastic experience: Just passed my driving test FIRST TIME with only 2 minor faults! All thanks to ACE Driving School instructor - Mr Nigel, who is a very nice guy and friendly to talk with. During my lessons with him, he went through the details in a very precise manner but in a very patient way. He teaches various technique on the manoeuvres, reverse bay parkings, etc and will suit you with which one you think is the best way. In other words, he discusses the different techniques with you and he doesnt force you with a single technique but rather a technique that suits your driving capabilities and the ones that you are comfortable with. All in all I highly recommend ACE Automatic Driving school!
