Fantastic experience: Allan was my instructor, he originally went out of his way to fit me in after I was let down by another company, he was amazing teacher and each session was fun and informative, I booked 10 hours with him with having a previous 6 hours with another company, and I passed first time.. I would not have been able to achieve this without the help from Alan and Begin Driving... Thank you so much for all your help!

Fantastic experience: I had Pete, and he was excellent in accommodating for me. I had a test less than 3 weeks away in Eastbourne, roads that I wasn’t used to, and Pete managed to squeeze in 3 lessons for me to show me around, and do a mock test. I passed on my first try, and I 100% put that down to the lessons with Pete, and his expertise. Thanks again, I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Allan at Begin Driving enough. He’s very professional, punctual, patient , gives constructive feedback. I felt nervous driving and he always made me feel comfortable and at ease, boosting my confidence. I also had lessons with Noel who now sadly left but also was extremely high standard of teaching , professional and helpful. I even got emailed pdfs of tricky junctions and roundabouts with exceptions around Eastbourne which was really useful. They also offer mock tests which I strongly recommend to replicate test environment. Also both instructors had a nice modern clean car. Very well structured lessons with a feedback that you can always access on the app which is very convenient. Super happy with the service !

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely amazing experience with Greg from Begin Driving. He was patient, caring and professional. I was an experienced driver but didn't use to drive on the left side and wasn't comfortable with roundabouts that much but with Greg's help, I had no problem at all. Last but not least, at the assessment session when he made sure I'm experienced he didn't try to sell unnecessary hours to me which doesn't always happen! Totally recommend both the institute and Greg!

Pete's clear teaching style, combined with his professionalism and dedication, made my driving lessons enjoyable and effective. He was always punctual, well-prepared, and organized, and his feedback was invaluable in helping me improve my driving skills. With Pete's guidance, I felt confident and well-prepared for my driving test back home as I was a university student at the time seeking some lessons for preparation, and I passed with flying colors. I cannot recommend Pete enough for anyone seeking high-quality driving lessons. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test on first attempt thanks to My instructor Greg. I wouldn't be able to do it without his help, patience and guidance. He was always very clear about instructions, very informative, polite and very very very patient I've already recommended him to my friend's and colleagues who are thinking about learning how to drive and I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to drive quickly and properly.

Fantastic experience: I had Allan as my instructor and I honestly couldn’t recommend him enough. I knew nothing about cars and when I first started I was a slow learner , often get frustrated and truly believed I’d never be able to drive. In these early lessons of frustration Allan’s experience and kind instincts kicked in , we would often have a 10 minute break and he would calm me down by offering sweets or a drink. Eventually understood the idea of driving further along the line thanks to Allan’s incredible patience and kindness , he is truly a good man who knows his stuff and we felt like a team coming up to my test in which I passed , looking back at when I started I would’ve never imagined I would be driving around like everybody else! , all down to Allan , thank you so much look after yourself! Fantastic experience: Really good, relaxing atmosphere; never any tension in the car. Lessons are focused on you, the driver, and you never have to do anything you are not comfortable doing. Very thorough and focused but also beginner friendly. Couldn't recommend Begin Driving enough.

Fantastic experience: For my driving instructor I had Debbie, she is lovely and an outstanding instructor, she really pushed me to achieve. With her help, I passed my test first time with only one minor fault! Couldn’t of done it without her, thank you so much and will miss our drives.

Fantastic experience: I had a motorway course with Allan who was nothing but kind and patient. He was exceptionally friendly even though we had never met before. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: This company has some great reviews and obviously good instructors. I had 4 lessons with Debbie bishop and I passed my theory test with top marks. But I had to stop the lessons due to the instructor being overly precious about her new car as some of her clients had damaged some of the interior. On the last lesson we were parked in the Devonshire park tennis centre and I pulled the sun visor across to shield the glare and Debbie went berserk claiming I pulled too hard which was not true at all,so I terminated the lessons because I found her so uptight and couldn’t continue. She needs to ease off because I learned a lot from the lessons I had.

Fantastic experience: Noel was an amazing instructor all through the six months I was learning. I passed first try and it was all thanks to him. I have no complaints at all, he was friendly and kind and honestly made learning so easy. I looked forward to my lessons and am almost upset I'm not learning anymore!

Fantastic experience: I passed first time after learning to drive with Noel for 5 months. He was patient with me and a good teacher. He was easy to get along with and made me feel comfortable while I was driving. He was supportive from when i started learning to once I’d passed my test.

Noel is an excellent and knowledgeable instructor, tailoring lessons to your needs, and very clear on progress, always on time and helpful. As an older learner, new to the area, and practising for my second test (which I passed), I couldn't have wished for better preparation.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate in having Allan as my driving instructor to guide me through the maze of challenges toward passing my test. Not only was he a pleasant and interesting "travel companion", he was first class in professionalism and expertise during the time we spent together. Allan is an excellent example of how to provide a service. He was focused and tough on pointing out every little mistake and error in my driving, yet calm and inspiring in making me feel confident enough in my ability to be able to pass. I highly recommend him as a true professional in his field and an instructor who will do all that's necessary to make sure his students get top marks.

Fantastic experience: Faz is the best driving instructor I’ve had, I’ve tried a couple and couldn’t get on with them or understand the way they taught. Faz is very good at his job and while being professional he is an easy guy to get long with and has a brilliant way of teaching. Unfortunately I didn’t get to the stage where I could take my practical with Faz due to moving back to my hometown in wiltshire but I know if I had stayed I would’ve definitely passed very soon!! I am absolutely gutted as I can not stress how good the team are. They also get you to download an app where you get your own log in details which then leads you to an app that tracks your driving progress, theory progress, gives you a log in to a theory driving test practice site very similar to the dvla app and also your past and present lessons! I would 110% recommend Begin Driving, they are by far the best company I’ve been with. I must mention, Jane is also very lovely and was always helpful and kind whenever I spoke to her!! Thank you all very much and I wish you all the best in the future :) x

Fantastic experience: My son, Oscar, had Josh from Begin Driving for his lessons. He said Josh was down to earth, very patient and really nice. The booking process was easy and efficient. The app he had to track his progress he said was good also and provided lots of information. We would recommend Begin Driving as a company. From start to finish they explained the processes clearly and we would definitely recommend Josh as an instructor- thank you Josh!!

Negative experience: My driving instructor was constantly late. I totally lost confidence after the instructor had been quite snappy with me when I made mistakes as a beginner. It's only since changing instructors and driving schools - that I realise it was just bad teaching and unprofessionalism. The number plate eyesight test wasn't even done with me on first total beginner lesson.
