Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Mike as a driving instructor! I was recommended by a friend and he was the first and only instructor I had who taught me how to drive as an absolute beginner as well as helped me pass my test from the beginning to the end. I had a really enjoyable learning journey with Mike, who is an exceptional and professional instructor with good patience and attention to details. For every mistake I made on the road, he would throughly explain it and let me know how to deal with it properly when something similar happens next time. With Mike, you could drive with confidence and safety, and reach to a higher standard than the test. Thank you again Mike and you are really a star!

Fantastic experience: Mike became my instructor after I moved to the area having previously been learning with a different instructor. He was quickly able to assess my ability and help me focus on the areas I most needed work whilst teaching me some great techniques I hadn't been previously taught - resulting in me passing my test! Fantastic experience: I thoroughly recommend Mike as a driving instructor. He has taught my son to drive in my car over 3 months and he managed to pass his test first time. Mike was prompt to every lesson and kept both me and my son updated with texts. The most important thing to me was that he made the lessons enjoyable. My son always looked forward to them and he always had some interesting fact from Mike to tell me on his return. Mike made learning to drive fun. Fantastic experience: Mike was an amazing instructor! He was very friendly and supportive. He made sure I was fully prepared for my test and I passed first attempt (sort of, I had previously failed twice with a different instructor 10 years ago, but since starting to learn again, Mike was amazing). I would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking to learn to drive. His ethos of preparing people to drive in the real world, rather than preparing them to get through the test alone, is one I believe all instructors should hold.

Fantastic experience: Passed on Friday the 11th august 2023!!! Had many instructors and with my anxiety being so bad I just wasn’t progressing with any of them.. I found Mike and I only had 12 hours of lessons and passed with flying colours!! He was so patient and so calm! When I was feeling super overwhelmed he would be very reassuring and we would pull over and have five and breath and back too it! He made my fear of roundabouts more manageable and we always had a laugh!! I cried my eyes out when I passed and I’m going to miss our lessons because they were a lot of fun and a laugh! Fantastic experience: Mike taught me how to drive from a complete beginner. He’s extremely patient, friendly and a great guy to have a laugh with! He makes you feel comfortable and less anxious the moment you’re in the driving seat. Mike is a fantastic instructor who actually teaches you how to drive. Fantastic experience: Mike’s is great character who’s been exceptionally supportive to my daughter, helping her pass 1st time on Monday 8th May. He’s an individual who can easily connect with his pupils putting them at ease from the get-go (whilst remaining highly professional). His car (Electric Vauxhall Corsa) is virtually brand new and maintained to a very high standard. Mike also showed great flexibility when arranging lesson times and/or pupil pick-up points. I’ll definitely use again on daughter number two . I’d definitely recommend his services to family members and friends .

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Michael enough! He’s thorough, supportive, professional and friendly! I’ve been with a few instructors over my time learning to drive and Michael is by far to a higher standard than the rest, he adapts his teaching style to suit you and is so patient. As someone who can get very nervous driving especially when I first started lessons again, Michael helped me feel at ease and has built my confidence in the short time I have been learning with him.

Fantastic experience: As someone who suffers with a massive amount of anxiety over driving, Mike’s teaching methods were exactly what I needed. He has a unique way of understanding the things you are worried about, and is able to tailor lessons to help you get over your personal anxieties. I never felt stupid or incompetent when I did something wrong in my lessons, which built my confidence to the level I needed, whilst benefitting from constructive feedback to help me improve. I passed my test first time and I attribute that to Mike’s patience, understanding, and genuine desire to want to help me learn to drive. I would recommend Mike to everyone, but particularly those who struggle with being more anxious or nervous about driving!

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons with Mike in June. As a learner who started from scratch with no past experiences in driving with parents beforehand, I picked it up really easily and felt at ease learning with Mike as he makes you feel relaxed in the car. Mike is encouraging and always brings out the best of your ability. Throughout the whole time he was very calm and patient with my learning. Even during my funny 5-10 minutes during sessions, we’d take a break and then go again. Mike allowed me to learn at my own pace and that’s what I really enjoyed about our lessons together. He is very easy to talk to and we had a good laugh and conversation in all our lessons. After 5 months of learning I managed to pass first time! So thank you again Mike :) Overall, Mike Is a great person who doesn’t just teach you to pass your test but teaches you to drive the car to the best of your ability whilst being safe. I would highly anyone looking for lessons to go to him.

Fantastic experience: Mike is an wonderful driving instructor, who has taught me the skills I needed throughout my learning experience. Though I was nervous at the start Mike was kind to me and treated me with respect as well assuring that everything was going to be fine and after the first 2 weeks I was on the wheel from the get-go. He is very good at explaining the situations and procedures that I take and if they were correct or not and he would give me a feedback on how to improve on it next time and I made sure that was able to apply the tips he gave me to become a better driver. Aside from driving Mike is also full of humour. Even during little 5 mins break there was no awkward silence between us ( not like some of the other instructors my friends have previously told me about) as he always kept on keeping the conversation flowing. I was very grateful to have a an instructor like Mike and I'm sure so will you. Said Mohamed

Fantastic experience: After being recommended by a friend, I decided to learn to drive with Mike, and I passed within 5 months. This was largely due to his meticulous and pragmatic teaching methods. With Mike there's no messing around, it's straight to the point, which when learning to drive is a good thing. With some instructors you might feel like it is being dragged out for more lessons and extra £££. However, I only had 10-15 lessons and was strongly encouraged to take my theory and practical tests as soon as possible (even earlier than I wanted) but this all ensured that I passed when I was ready, and wasn't a learner for any longer than necessary. I would strongly recommend Mike Nixon to anyone looking for an instructor. However, as he is so popular, you might want to book 2/3 months in advance!

He's very patient how ever many times id forget my left to rights hah. He always challenged me which helped improve on my driving skills..
