Rob Driving Tuition

Negative experience: I had an initial lesson booked with Rob. I had stated that I couldn’t do the full 1.5 hour as I struggle to concentrate for that long due to ADHD. I expressed this to Rob and did not get any response. When the time for my lesson came around he did not turn up. When I contacted him, he said that he didn’t respond on this occasion and had just cancelled my lesson. This was very frustrating as I had simply asked if the timing could be shortened to suit my learning needs and I had no further communication from this. Once I had stated my frustration and had asked that Rob not contact me any further he continued to call me and then ask me to call to discuss, even though I had already stated I didn’t want any back and forth. Very disheartening and will definitely not be pursuing any more lessons.

Fantastic experience: Rob is a brilliant driving instructor. He was very patient with my dodgy gear changes, and was great at putting me at ease when I was nervous. I would definitely recommend him. Cheers Rob!

Fantastic experience: Rob was amazing when teaching me to drive! I had a instructor before him who was not that best and quit on me about 2 months before my test (which I was not ready for) after starting lessons with Rob he had me test ready in just 3 weeks, about 8 hours worth of lessons. Highly recommended him :)

Fantastic experience: I have to give Rob a lot of credit as he was patient in teaching me, an American driver of almost 10 years, how to drive a Manual car which was completely foreign to me. At the start, I let him know I needed a full instruction on changing gears as I had no clue how it all worked, and he really took this into account. We spent a lot of time getting used to changing gears and learning clutch control. Once things started clicking, we then could move on to understanding round-abouts and some of my American habits to break such as positioning when making turns. He pointed these things out in a helpful way to further better my driving abilities. His way of teaching to stay calm and approach meeting situations in a safe manner really helped especially on narrow roads. I took in everything he taught me from my lessons going into my driving test and passed first time!

And even though I used to drive for 12 years already before my lessons with Rob have started I still got from him a couple of tips for easier parking which I'm happily using now. Fantastic experience: Rob is a very good driving instructor and I would recommend him to any learner driver. I am grateful for the lessons he has taught me. He knew when to provide help and when to let me learn from my mistakes. When Rob was unable to take me to my test (due to unforeseen consequences of the pandemic) he helpfully recommended another instructor. I passed my test with a different instructor, but I am confident in saying that Rob gave me all the resources to be able to pass my test, and more importantly taught me how to be a safe driver who is able to deal with any situation I may encounter whilst driving. Would 100% recommend.

I have a lot of anxiety and Rob was able to guide me with a lot of patience the entire way and I’ve been able to become more confident in driving. He is friendly and was able to make me feel at ease behind the wheel of a car and I didn’t feel rushed. He helped me pass my test meaning one of my life time goals has finally been completed.

Fantastic experience: Rob is probably one of the best instructors anyone could ever hope for worked really to fit me in around my job which isn’t easy as I never know what I’m working one week to the next taught me so much so quickly I was taught really badly with another instructor rob found a way to reshape my skills and got me a pass first time with him.....he has a way of making you feel at easy every step of the way right up to the moment the examiner getting in the car with you couldn’t recommend this man enough.....passed my test yesterday drove to work tonight and had to crank the radio up it was to quiet without him next to me

Fantastic experience: Can not recommend this this lovely guy enough, I’m naturally a very nervous person and often avoid situations that make me uncomfortable but I was recommended rob from a friend and from the very first time I got into his car he put me completely at ease, he just has the ability to calm everything right down!
