Had a lovely instructor called John who was brilliant and helped out a lot on little things I needed to work on. He made me feel so much more confident and at ease. Passed on my first driving test

I’ve learnt a lot whilst in my lessons, She has taught me how to be a safe driver. Doing 40 hours and passing 1st time with no minors - just goes to show how much of a fantastic instructor she is.

Fantastic experience: I started driving just before the Covid pandemic. Finding a driving instructor proved challenging for me, with long waiting lists and numerous setbacks. However, my experience changed dramatically when I started my lessons with Lisa. She was not only professional and effective but also keenly attentive to the minutest details of my driving. Lisa's expertise in 'fine-tuning' my skills over a period of six months was remarkable, preparing me to be exam-ready. Her approach was comprehensive, focusing on refining my driving habits and boosting my confidence on the road. Fantastic experience: Lisa was a wonderful driving instructor and helped me pass my test first time! I was very anxious starting out but she was reassuring and instructed me calmly, helping me to feel a lot more confident after just a couple of lessons. She encouraged me to reflect on the areas where I needed to improve and assess throughout where I was on each of the criteria for the test, which I found very helpful. When they came up, she also helped me to address situations not on the test but useful for regular driving. Overall my experience with Lisa was very positive and I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

Negative experience: Do not book a course with this company, or with an instructor called Lisa Chooramun. She will not communicate very well, and when it comes to driving test, she will not even find out if you passed or not. This company are all about the money not passing.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time with Nick Smith from Worthing in just two weeks. Nick was calm, positive and reassuring which really helped with my learning. His sense of humour really helped me relax and feel at ease on the road. Despite taking my test in Chichester, which is an area I wasn’t familiar with, he provided me with all the tools and confidence to help me pass first time. Would thoroughly recommend, especially to anyone like me who is on a tight time schedule!

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time with Nick Smith. He is an excellent instructor and managed to get me test ready in under a week with professional, structured and informed lessons that really boosted my confidence. He constantly looked to see how he could adapt our lessons to challenge me and always made sure we were progressing at the right pace for me, meaning I always felt very comfortable driving with him. During my learning Nick slowly integrated driving round the test area so by the time I came to do my test I was confident and relaxed both in my ability and knowledge of the area enabling me to pass with only one minor fault. Couldn’t recommend him enough Thank you Nick!

Fantastic experience: I would like to bring to your attention Lisa, who works for Countywide. She is the nicest, most relaxed instructor, who has always helped me calm down in the worst moments. She is professional and explains everything what you need to know to pass your test. Thank you Lisa

Negative experience: Just to be aware if you have booked an intensive course with a test at the end only 1/10 times does the test actually happen and you will be asked to cancel your test and rebook and then have additional lessons prior to the test. It is exceedingly hard to get a test cancellation at the moment. If you cancel the lessons for the intensive course because of this you can lose all of your money. This isn't explained at the time of booking. Only ever book these courses if you have failed a test recently and have another test date booked up. We learned the hard way- got some money back but the heartache it caused is irreparable !

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this driving school enough, and especially my instructor Lisa! I'd had so much trouble trying to find an instructor and had a test booked in a month. 24 hours after contacting Countywide I had an instructor and lessons lined up, and I cannot fault the kind and quick service (special thanks to Lorriane who was very helpful!) Lisa is such an incredible instructor! I hadn't driven in a few years and had a bad experience previously so was very nervous to get back in a car. Lisa was absolutely wonderful from start to finish; incredibly kind, professional, patient, compassionate, and attentive. I struggled a lot with confidence as a driver, but ended up passing with 2 minors in the space of a month all thanks to Lisa. Thank you Lisa!

Negative experience: Stay clear of this driving school. Driving instructor from Brighton called Naji is only interested in your money I payed for 13hours I only received 9 hours, he charged me for 3 I didn’t do. We had a 2 hour lesson that I didn’t attend because I’m 9 months pregnant and it was 2 days after the Hurricane and the train lines were cancelled and I live in the middle of nowhere and buses are like every hour round here and i missed it and would have been late and stressed getting buses so it wasn’t worth travelling but anyway he charged me 3 hours instead of 2, I understand if you cancel within the 24 hour period you get charged but not a hour extra and then denied I had an hour remaining … and then asked for another payment upfront which I was hesitant to do so I told him I was going to pay him on the day from now on , we were supposed to have a lesson the following Thursday he called the driving school saying that due to his diary being full he can no longer fit me in anymore. I have a test booked for June and doubt I will be ready now. What a waste of £360 !!!! And travel money I spent getting to Brighton. I understand driving instructor are limited at the moment if you do decide to use this company please be careful paying upfront because once they have your money they treat you like a dog and lessons and times are on their terms. Don’t bother calling up the office Lorraine will tell you it’s between you and the driver instructor they can’t do anything

Fantastic experience: Lisa is the driving test master! She is amazing. I had been having driving lessons for aaaaggeesss before I came to her and I was not ready to test. Then she changed everything. She knows the test inside out. She takes you driving the test route on every lesson and she drills you on it all until you are so confident on everything. When it came to my test it was actually a really enjoyable and relaxed experienced because I felt so comfortable driving it, thanks to Lisa. I passed with 2 minors and I apparently had one of the harshest examiner at the centre. Thank you Lisa!

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first time on the 10 Nov, Lisa has gone above and beyond to help me and teach me in a way I’ve never experienced, additionally I informed her that I had ADHD which doesn’t help with my attention span and she was very adaptive. Her compassion and understanding of personal feelings with a new driver is amazing. Lisa has adjusted her diary to all my needs with times and days to which I could do, within around 30 hours of lessons I passed with 6 minors of my own fault but something to work on. I would recommend Lisa highly for anyone that struggles. Lisa, Thank you so much for opening so many doors to my future. Without you helping me I would have never of learned the way that I have. P.S my partner says I’m a good driver.

Fantastic experience: First time pass with Lisa! Countrywide D S. I decided to change schools when lessons returned after lockdown, just 7 weeks before test date. Really pleased I did, Lisa quickly assessed my weaknesses and corrected my bad habits which I was not aware of! Lisa was professional and focused on teaching at all times and helped me gain the confidence I was so lacking. Very pleased, I honestly didn’t think I could do it, thanks Lisa. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’m going to start this review with the best part: I passed my driving exam yesterday with NO MINORS and no driving faults! My driving instructor was Lisa, she was very professional and accommodated my schedule/ availability well. Communication was very good and efficient. Despite several interruptions due to lockdown restrictions, the driving progress was really smooth. Lisa knew which areas I needed to work on and really gets you working hard on them. She made me nail driving observations right from the start. Target sheets and progress records were helpful in terms of keeping track of progress and seeing areas which needed improvement. I wanted to be a safe and confident driver due to my agency nursing job, I feel that I am able to be one because of this driving school. I strongly recommend this company and driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning to drive with my instructor Lisa. She was very helpful and patient with teaching me everything. I found her way of teaching very useful which got me to think for myself, helping me become a confident and independent driver, as well as helping me at every step when I needed it. I passed first time with only a couple minors. I feel she really accelerated my learning and helped me pass quicker and easier.

Fantastic experience: John was an amazing instructor. He was patient and relaxed, which made me feel at ease, but also very on the ball and quick to notice any weaker points , and perfect them. Before my 5 day intense course I had never driven on the road, and immediately after the course I felt like a confident driver, and was test ready. Would recommend him to any Learner driver :)

Negative experience: Warning, all good reviews for this are absolutely FAKE. This is not only someone who is incompetent at their job and literally scream at you when you get something slightly wrong, they are also scamming new, young, inexperienced people out of THOUSANDS of £££. Steer clear.

Negative experience: Didnt go well with their managers calling me back. Failled twice. Booked my test month after the date on their site i choose informed me with email and was still waiting on their call back. Lady on phone sorted my refund and cancelation promtly and easily when i called them.

Fantastic experience: I was always a nervous driver and found driving to be a challenge, but Lisa helped me overcome my nerves and pass my test. I have gained a lot of confidence in my driving and couldn’t thank her enough for how hardworking, professional and lovely she is. Fantastic experience: Lisa is an excellent instructor, I would absolutely recommend learning/continuing to learn to drive with her! I was taught everything I needed to know for the test and driving in life in general very efficiently, and in a calm and relaxed environment which I can only recommend. She is also very good at explaining how to do stuff and also went over what needed to be improved and what the plan was (practice this, work on that etc) at the beginning/end of each lesson so that you always knew where you where at and what you are doing. I passed 1st time, would definitely recommend! :))

I’m not what you would call a natural driver (!) but she turned me from a really nervous learner into a confident driver (passed my test yesterday woo hoo!) I passed in 3 months with only 2 minors on my test whereas friends of mine have taken more lessons and time to do the same showing Lisa's top quality ability. She's also incredibly friendly and kind and couldn't recommend her more.

Fantastic experience: I completed an intensive course with Lisa in July 2018. This consisted of several 2-3 hour lessons over a three week period - approximately 20 hours in total. I’d already had about 20 hours with a different driving school over a 6 month period but opted for an intensive course as wanted to pass my test by August. Lisa was a fantastic instructor! Patient, knowledgeable, calm and reassuring- everything you’d want in an instructor. The result was I passed first time, just three weeks later, without a single major or minor point being incurred during the test! Huge credit and thanks goes to Lisa - I couldn’t have done it without her!

Fantastic experience: A friend of mine recommended that I go with Countywide and I am so happy that I did. I want to say a huge thank you to John who works for Countywide. He helped me so much with my intensive course, I was pleased to get the money out the way and pay for my 25 hour intensive course up front it was £620 all together which was a great price as soon as I handed the money over to John on my first lesson I felt much more relieved as it gets all the awkwardness out the way and I felt I could then just concentrate on my driving. I felt so nervous in my first couple of lessons but John always talked me through everything and it made it so much easier as he was always so calm. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to park properly at the test centre but with the skills and techniques that John gave me I was able to do it perfectly...
