Fantastic experience: Monika is one of the best teachers I have come across. I spoke to Monika in April and told her I needed some 2 to 4 hour lesson with her. Since I had been driving in a foreign country for quite sometime, in my mind, I was a good driver, until I met Monika. That was when I realised I only knew how to control the steering wheel but wasn’t a driver. Initially, we used to have a lot of arguments but Monika was patient with me and told me to listen to whatever she is teaching me. I became sober and listened to all that she taught me. I was somewhat concerned about the amount of money I was spending. Monika kept reassuring me that the money I was spending was worth it and I stand to benefit from it later. Eventually, we had about 48 hour lessons. When Monika was okay with my driving, she booked a date for me, lo and behold, I passed on my first attempt with 5 driver faults. I couldn’t say thank you enough to Monika when the examiner said I passed. Lest I forget, when you think you feel anxious, Monika has got this magic wand, called therapy, it perfectly works!

Fantastic experience: Monika is an excellent instructor, who will help you overcome any problems you might have while driving. She is always there to support you, give valuable feedback and help you to become a good and a safe driver. I had few driving lessons many years ago and I was convinced driving is just not for me. Monika helped me to gain the confidence that I can do it. She taught me how to drive in the way noone ever did. She helped me to understand what driving is about. Fantastic experience: I passed my test on the second attempt in Erith today. The first attempt was in Belvedere, where I failed a month ago. Initially, when I was searching for an instructor, I was looking for someone local and maybe even automatic, without prior knowledge. Somehow, I came across Monika's website, but it was a bit too far for me from Greenwich to Abbey Wood, around an hour sometimes 40 minutes by bus, and also manual. Somehow, I had a good feeling and decided to book a lesson. What impressed me, and what I liked on my first lesson, was when she pulled out a heavy booklet with Google Maps photos of the streets and physical tiny cars to explain junctions. I loved that!Just to add another reason why I trusted Monika look she has around 20 years experience. That says it all. If you are reading this review to consider choosing Monika as your teacher, please read this part: driving lessons are expensive, yes, they are. No surprise. My reason why I hadn't done a driving license before was that I didn't have enough to cover lessons and possibly a car later. That's why I waited. I had enough money, and I didn't need to worry about how many lessons I needed to pay for. Trust me, I had lots of hours, maybe 90?! Why? Simply because I needed that many. I didn't feel confident, I wasn't sure what I was doing and I was making poor decisions. My perception wasn't right as well. But it takes time, lessons,practice. Maybe you have a partner or parent you can practice with, so you may not need that many lessons. But hey, everyone is different and everyone has a different abilities to learn how to drive. So be financially ready and don't complain about the price. It's very hard to say how many lessons you will need, but I suggest being ready because it takes time to polish all maneuvers and decisions on the road. Remember, this is an investment in your life. Once you learn properly how to drive, it's a skill for life, hopefully a one-off. Also, consider how much the car and insurance will cost you. Have a mindset that you want to be a safer driver, you want to get your license, and if the costs are too high, wait for the right moment. I could have passed on my first attempt in Belvedere, but I was extremely nervous and had an anxiety attack. I couldn't control my left leg on the clutch, and somehow my brain turned off, leading to a serious mistake. However, Monika was very encouraging. She tried to understand why it happened and found ways to help me be ready for the next attempt. Since I didn't have any other instructors to compare with, but I've heard from friends and colleagues that they didn't have good teachers. In my lessons with Monika, we covered everything, including country roads and dual carriageways. You have to know how to drive there, that's why I would encourage everyone to learn in Belvedere and Erith. Yes, there are no road markings, Y junctions, and big roundabouts , A2, but it's all about your learning. Would you rather only gain experience on 30/20mph roads like in some areas? Would you only go for automatic? Challenge your brain, make it work harder, be a good driver! Erith and Belvedere rule!! And a massive thank you to Monika for your patience, attitude, and genius love to all your students.

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructor and I was very lucky to find her. I previously struggled with high anxiety around driving and had to stop lessons with a previous instructor due to it. So not only did she have to tackle my anxiety but Monika had to undo the work of previous poor instructor I had. She is very different to any other instructor, she is very patient and professional and she helped me to pass at my first attempt. Cannot thank her enough. I could not have done it without her. Initially I was unsure about manual and could not to practice outside of lessons however none of these mattered in the face of her excellent coaching. Fantastic experience: Monika helped me pass my practical driving test first time back in November 2021, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t have done it without her. I had put off learning to drive for many years and thought that I would dread lessons, however Monika made them fun and enjoyable, and I still miss them to this day! Fantastic experience: Monika is an absolutely fabulous instructor she is very patient and knowledgeable. I started with her in october and today I had ny test and passed! She took the time to help me understand key components as i drove. I gained knowledgei how cars work and how to make good decisions on the road. 10/10 would recommend - if you want to trully know how to drive and feel confident behind the whell, this is the instructor for you.

Fantastic experience: Under Monika's instruction, I have become a confident and practised driver. I came to Monika after a few years of first starting lessons and coming back to it felt more anxious and nerve racking than I had anticipated. I came to her after going through 3 other instructors, a failed test, and having no hope of ever being able to do it. With Monika I passed the first time I took the test. She provided me with the support I needed, charting my progress and explaining clearly and effectively exactly what I needed to do not only to pass the test but also to be a safe and careful driver. Her lessons are structured and clear and she lets you know exactly where you are at each stage of the learning experience so you can reflect on what needs work and what you are doing well. Fantastic experience: Monika can only be describe as a superb fantastic mind blowing unbelievable good instructor. I came to her as a 33 year old man who was nervous on the wheel with a fair share of anxiety and lots of mind wandering problems and am now a totally new person. I valued her in depth of experience in driving just like in life, her assertiveness, high standard in all things and punctuality. Monika honesty with feedback, meant I knew exactly where I was with my progression. Fantastic experience: Monika is a fantastic instructor, I stumbled upon her website when I was specifically looking for someone who could deal with anxious and worried drivers. As soon as we began driving, she taught me how to feel at ease in the car, and for that I am really thankful! I had 2 other instructors before her which were not the right fit, and I believe this knocked my confidence. But driving and learning with Monika was a whole other (positive) experience. I passed first time with 0 faults (hooray!) something I could only dream of a year ago. Fantastic experience: Passed the First time! Having an Indian driving license has a lot of bad effects, as I had to unlearn a lot of things. When I started to look for instructors, my first priority was someone who I can be comfortable with inside the car, who is patient, pleasant(No Shouting!), to whom I can talk through my fears and learn. And Monika is everything. She is calm, very friendly and highly professional. She trusted me more than I did to myself and before I knew it I was driving well. I was a person who "needed" to drive not "wanted" to drive. Now I can say, "Yes, I want to drive" and it's all because of the confidence gained through the lessons. Fantastic experience: Monica has an unrivalled knowledge of driving. She is an excellent teacher, and trains people in how to drive - not just showing the tricks that some instructors use that only work in one model of car. She is calm and clear and instills confidence. I wasn’t sure I could pass before going to Monica, but she made sure that I was well prepared and I did!

Fantastic experience: I had an awful first driving experience doing an intensive 2 week course with an impatient teacher that left me feeling really shaken and so nervous of driving, and failed my first test with countless faults. I started learning again with Monika and had the best experience, Monika was always patient and had a sense of humour, always explained things in a way that was clear and easy to understand and made me feel at ease in the car. We did thought field therapy to help calm my nerves, and I actually enjoyed driving by the end of my lessons with Monika and passed first time with her! Fantastic experience: After hours of lessons with my previous instructor I made very little progress. To make my situation worse I was very nervous behind the wheel and kept making the same mistakes as a result. Teasing comments from my instructor didn't help either. I gave up driving believing I was not made for it.... A few years later I decided to give myself another chance when I came across Monika's website and realised she was not an average instructor, someone who could possibly help a hopeless case like me. I was not dissapointed! Thanks to her I am now enjoing my freedom in the driving seat, something that not so long ago I didn't deem possible. Monika has a great ability to understand other people's limitations, fears and phobias. She is great with people, especially those who are very nervous or don't believe in themselves. And she has a lot of patience( a lot of it was required when she was teaching me!). Fantastic experience: Despite passing my driving test on my first attempt, I was very scared to drive. After four years of having a full license and almost zero time spent on the road, I decided to do something about the situation. And I was very lucky to have Monika on my refresher lessons. She established quite quickly that I wasn't having phobias or anxieties. My unwillingness to drive was because I wasn't taught properly last time round. I had to admit that I was very lucky to pass for the first time, that I didn't fully understand a lot of things but were just memorizing and doing as told, and that I wasn't given enough time on high speed (50 mph +) that I never felt comfortable at that kind of speed at all. The resolution was quite simple, but practical - go back to the basics. She was very patient with me as I spent quite sometime to revisit what was taught four years ago. She gave me real time feedback, took the time to listen to me and went in great level of details to explain things that confused me. She was also very nice to me, that I never felt bullied when I made silly mistakes, which was what happen to me last time. She told me why I made the mistakes, and asked me to look forward, which was extremely helpful. Within three months time, I learnt a great deal from her. I was able to go on long journey by myself across the country. I was able to drive, properly, with confidence. And this would not happen without Monika.

Fantastic experience: Monika was a great teacher! She stays calm, communicates clearly, provides constructive feedback without making you feel ashamed or stupid, and is very flexible in terms of scheduling. I am a licensed driver in the US and I really appreciated that Monika was respectful of my experience while helping me to meet the UK standard. Despite my anxieties about the test, Monika prepared me well and I passed on the first go!

Fantastic experience: Monika will go above and beyond with her teaching methods. With as much knowledge and experience behind her is it any wonder. Her business is her passion and this is very clear through her teaching methods. Going private with Monika, you get exactly what you pay for and each lesson is tailored to YOU and your needs as a learner driver! She understands to the upmost that not everyone can be taught in the same way, which is what instructors working under bigger commercial companies do not understand one bit. I learnt the hard way and had over 50 hours of lessons before I came to Monika and the instructor led me to believe I was ready to take the test and off course I wasn't but I felt I had had enough lessons and after a few more lessons I felt marginally ready so decided to take the test and guess what, I failed off course. He told me after "you know what you have to do now, book another test" and just left me to my own devices. Wow. So then I came across Monika's driving school, and even though, being more than double the price, I felt Monika to be more knowledgeable and actually wanting to educate me and teach me thoroughly about driving as well as the types of scenarios I could come across. I was so scared to even drive at 30 mph at the beginning, I was slow at picking up speed and felt I was going fast enough. Monika took this in her stride and exposed me to different speed limits in various places nearby including small nearby country roads that gave me a whole new perspective and before I even realised it I was driving to the recommended speed limits and gained confidence with each 2 hour lesson. Altogether after roughly 30 hours of lessons, I passed 1st time with Monika! And it is all thanks to her hard work and support. I will be going back to her for Pass Plus lessons in the future.

Fantastic experience: As I promised I would like to sing the praises to Monika’s talents. Initially I decided that choice of instructor is more important rather than choice of school. And I must say it was right decision. It is said on the web-page that Monika is highly skilled coach and that’s absolute true! I am very demanding person and I could appreciate her competence. She can deal with any kind of people and talk to them and teach them on their level of understanding. It might be housewife or engineer, beginner or experienced driver – Monika will find her way to “bring the truth” and share her skills and experience. What I liked best of all – it never was too easy or too stressful. She could sense when it is getting easier for you and she immediately goes to the next level. Believe me, not every person is so sensitive. First time in my life I was enjoying driving (I was driving a few years before with auto gear) – thank you Monika! That was amazing experience! And she is really-really nice person!!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I'm very thankful to great teacher and lovely person Monika! I came to her with experience of driving on Russian roads, with need to pass the UK driving test and get used to right handed car / left handed roads and traffic specialty. We've manage to do so in 1,5 month, having 20 hours in total. However Monika also taught me how to drive a car more efficiently and worked hard against my bad habits of driving, which i got due to lack of knowledge previously. She is amazing teacher, explaining everything the way everyone would understand and with great amount of patience and belief in her students!!! The one who is really love, passionate about and enjoying her job! She also explained me how to use TFT method, which I did the night before the test and surprisingly I did sleep very well and have been more on the positive side rather than worried and stressful. She has a fantastic way of explaining things and is able to break things down in a manageable and achievable way. After initially learning to drive with a number of instructors when I was 17 I took a very long break from learning. Monika was able to understand how to get the most from each session and her coaching method allowed you both to guide your learning. When is took my first test at the age of 17 (with a different instructor) I was so nervous that I could barely press the peddles. However, when I took the test with Monika I felt confident and ready and passed first time! She may cost slightly more than some of the other instructors but I can tell you that it is worth it, I travelled across London for each session as the level of instruction and confidence training is amazing (and you will certainly save money in the long run)! I cannot recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: 1st London Driving Academy is one of the best driving schools in London, it lives up to its name and this is possible because of one lovely knowledgeable and intriguing lady called monika. If monika can't teach you then you have done a mis-service to your self. She provides all the tools, knowledge, and instructions to aid in your success. I was hesitant at first because I wanted my first driver instructor to be a man but when I spoke with monika I found out she was more than qualified than most men and she lived up to her reputation when I passed my driving test first time ever. I only did 25 lessons and she urged and encouraged me to take it. She was so good I used to travel to go take lessons. She's the best and she will make you the best driver you ever could be. Fantastic experience: Monika was recommended to me by another driving instructor, who stated that it might be better for me because of the language barrier, at the time I was learning to drive my English wasn’t great. So I’ve contacted her and we started our lessons. Monika was my third driving instructor and by far the best! I have not learned much from the previous ones while with Monika the very first lesson was amazing and gave me a confidence and feeling that I can really do it! I can only say good things about her: a very diligent person, she knows what she does and have an amazing experience and knowledge, she knows how to approach people in a way that they will learn and respond to her instructions, a very patient person is able to take your stress away, even if you had a really rough day you will relax learning with Monika. She can explain everything so you will understand. If you are afraid of anything like driving itself she is the one to go to, if someone told you that you won’t be able to learn how to drive, if you think you do not pass the exams go to Monica! Monika is a really great person, with a very interesting personality, which does not allow you to stop until you succeed. No matter how many driving instructors you have had before or what experience in live you went through she will work with you as no one worked with you before to achieve the best results and give you the confidence and skills on the road. Monika teach you not only how to drive, she also teach you the correct way of thinking on the road, the safety way of thinking so you can be confident. It is sensational experience to work with her.
