North West 3 Driving School

Positive experience: I was really happy that I chose Sam to be my driving instructor. Although I had some driving experience before taking lessons with Sam, I had never driven in a left-hand-traffic country before and was also not confident driving a manual car. So there was a lot to cover in my lessons before I was going to take the (famously difficult) UK driving test. I think Sam did an excellent job helping me become a better, more confident and most importantly SAFER driver (keeping both myself and other road users as safe as possible.) Sam not only taught from a clearly outlined and structured syllabus (a refresher course for international drivers, in my case), but also tailored the lessons to specifically go over the points I needed to improve upon, and constantly provided me with feedback to help improve my technique. All of this to say that I think Sam's driving course really helped me gain the skills I needed - although I still needed private practice to gain confidence, I found! Although I passed my driving test on the first try with only four minor faults, despite doing it in Barnet (one of the test centres in London with the lowest pass rate nationally). None of this would have been possible without Sam's diligent help and harping on me to do the right thing, consistently. Sam was also flexible around my schedule and didn't hesitate to schedule lessons at times that were convenient - for me, that meant late evenings or Saturday mornings. I however couldn't help but feel that Sam's lessons - along with most driving instructors' lessons in London - are quite expensive. Whilst developing driving skills in London is important, and so forth, I can't help but feel that this level of service is to be expected when the cost of lessons is double what it is in the rest of the UK. So although I would rate the lessons five-stars for quality, I can't help but think that they are four stars for value overall. Nevertheless, I was extremely happy with the experience I had and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam to anyone else I should meet.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't be happier with my experience at North West 3 Driving School. Passing my driving test on the first try was a huge milestone for me, and I owe it all to Sam. From day one, he went above and beyond to ensure I not only learned the necessary skills but also developed good driving habits that will serve me well for years to come. What sets Sam apart is his genuine interest in his students. He's not just there to teach you how to drive; he's there to listen, offer advice, and share in your successes. Our conversations went beyond the realm of driving, and I always felt like I was talking to a friend rather than just an instructor. Fantastic experience: I had a positive experience with Sam (and his driving school). I was re-taking my driving test after a disqualification and Sam was able to adjust his teaching to meet my needs as an experienced driver - I had 3 or 4 lessons and passed first time!

Fantastic experience: Samad just magic teacher!!!!! "I thought a lot about which school to choose, and I ended up picking this one. It was the right decision! The teacher here is really nice and good at teaching. He make learning easy, and it's easy to understand what He is saying. I learned quickly with him and as a result, I passed the exam on my first try with just a small mistake - I forgot to use my turn signal! I recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Legend! Passed after 30 hours. Good instructor who is very good at identifying weaknesses and working on them. Also doesn't just rigidly teach you to pass the test but gives you real - life situations/manoeuvres to practice and takes you on a variety of routes to help you improve.

Fantastic experience: Sam is a superstar! I Highly recommend  being him as your instructor. I passed first time. Booked lessons with him 1 month before my test and was very accomodating with the schedules. I really enjoyed having my lessons with him. He has a driving syllabus which will guide you for everything that you need to learn and to master every step of it. He is passionate to teach you on how to be confident and most importantly safe on the road. Apart from being excellent instructor, he has a very good sense of humor and not only i passed my test but i have made a friend too! Once again thank you very much and i truly appreciate it

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend - I took 25 hours of lessons with Sam over the course of two months (with 16 hours of experience beforehand) and passed my test first time! Really nice and funny guy, with high standards that push you to be a better driver.

Fantastic experience: Just passed on my first try yesterday after 40hrs with Sam. Great teacher, he was straight to the point with everything. He let me know exactly what I was doing wrong/right when I was on his lessons. He certainly noticed my week points and reigned them in. The conversation was always fun with Sam as well, certainly never dull! Really helped distracted from the stresses of learning. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Sam - was such a good teacher and a really nice guy. Knew everything about what it takes to pass the driving test and had lots of good advice for staying safe on the roads. Lessons were genuinely enjoyable and i passed first time! All because of Sam. Would recommend to anyone trying to get their licence, you'll get the best help.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time at Hendon after about 50h of lessons (might have been less but my first test was cancelled due to a Red Warning for high wind). Sam is a methodical and active teacher who has a well-structured syllabus, and who has clearly thought about how to be a good teacher e.g. talking about sleep, sunlight, and classical music. He's easy to talk to and as my lessons were partly during COVID I appreciated our conversations! He started me off slowly and didn't sugar-coat when I made dangerous mistakes, nor let me drive as slow as I initially wanted to drive. After we finished the syllabus our lessons were mainly mock tests around the area of the test centre.

Fantastic experience: I had 8 hours of manual lesson plus the actual practical exam. Proud to say I passed for the first time in Mill Hill. He's instructions are very true to life and practical. Honestly a bit strict but at the end of the day you'll become a confident and better driver. Syllabus on fire

Fantastic experience: I have taken 3 * 2 hours lessons with Anissa to refresh and improve my driving, it helps me pass my 2nd driving test. Great coach and informative lessons!

Fantastic experience: I just passed first time!! Sam was hilarious and also very patient with me, as I am/was a very nervous driver, especially to begin with. He had a comprehensive course and I felt like I learned something every lesson. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Sam gave a refresher lesson. I passed my test more than 40 years ago. He is first class. I plan to have one more with him in a few weeks, after practising what we did do. It is amazing how many bad habits one accumulates over the years.

Negative experience: I am looking for a Driving instructor/school to teach me how to drive properly in the fragile environment of London. However, reading the reviews brings a red light. I couldn't help but notice that your instructors negatively reply to past experiences. People give you their money and if they are disappointed you are meant to appreciate their comment, not bash them in the comment section. One good example I just saw is the comment of Francesca Bailey. See, I am not going to pay you money and then get yelled at or get cancelled because of someone's xmas needs. The reply of who was it? Sam? Was extremely unprofessional. I don't know who raised you sir, but you should never yell at a lady. Nor to a person who actually seeks out help in general. If your student doesn't improve, it's your fault, not the student's fault. If you have anger issues, I suggest you go to the doctor before you actually hurt someone. P.S. Constructive criticism is golden.

Fantastic experience: Sam is a great teacher, helping me to pass first time. He doesn’t wrap you in cotton wool - if you make an error he will let you know. I much prefer this approach as it is the best way to learn from your mistakes and improve. Result speaks for itself

Fantastic experience: I have just completed 30 hours with Sam and Passed first time! I wasted a lot of hours and money on another instructer before Sam that wasn't teaching me the correct way to drive or pass but from my first lesson with Sam, i understood so much more because he was following a learning structure and really going over my mistakes with me so i would understand where i went wrong and how i could improve. I would 100% recommend Sam if you want to pass 1st time. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without his teaching methods.

Fantastic experience: Sam is the legend. If you want not only to pass your test but also to become a great driver on crazy London roads then listen to the man and learn from him, you will gain great skills, knowledge and confidence. You are lucky to get such instructor - I know that from experience as I had two other one's prior to Sam. Negative experience: I had one “refresher” driving lesson with Sam. Having not driven for five years (and having learnt outside of London), it was quite a stressful hour and a half with relatively minimal attention given to improving my confidence on the road. Whilst he had some helpful tips, yelling instructions at a turning isn’t the best approach for a nervous driver, but I did improve during the time we had. Despite reservations, I booked for a follow up session. Unfortunately this was cancelled due to his Christmas shopping needs with no suggestions of an alternative time or other good teachers. I dislike giving bad reviews, but there were few positives (messy and old car, poor attitude, lacklustre customer service).

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Sam to any learner drivers in this area. I switched to him from my previous instructor, we did 20 hours of lessons together then I passed the test first time with 3 minors only. What was especially helpful was that he was able to arrange lessons at short notice at flexible times, as I did not have that much time before my test day. He makes sure to cover all the things that could come up in a test, and definitely think he helped me learn to drive safely. Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: Sam did a great job of teaching the safe way to drive and how to pass the driving test. I passed the test in my first attempt and to do mock test with him near to the actual test date is very useful as I become more alert of the dos and don'ts for the test.

Fantastic experience: Passed yesterday on the first attempt after 30 hours! Sam is quite a character which makes his lessons entertaining, but he will still certainly get the job done and teach you how to drive properly. Recommended!

Sam was very pragmatic and thorough during my lessons and managed to teach me a lot in a short space of time. On my first test attempt with Sam I passed and couldn't be more happy. 10/10

Fantastic experience: My instructor Samad is very helpful and the tips he gave me helped me to get back into driving. 8years ago i passed by luck first time and had a major accident which put me off driving. When I started lessons with Samad i realised i how much I didn't know. i recommend Samad to anyone who is serious to learn road safety. He teaches you how to be a safe driver for life.

Negative experience: I didn't have a great experience with Sam. He spends most of the lesson playing on his phone, gets his left and right mixed up and generally doesn't pay attention. The first lesson was pretty good, but very quickly he eased off the tuition and it felt like I was just using his car to teach myself.

Negative experience: My Instructor never comes on time, My day is planned around the allocated driving lesson slot. He either comes extremely late with food on the passenger seat side. Or much earlier then planned. He came over 30 minutes late and I said I had somewhere to be in exactly an hour so I said we will rearrange. He said okay and then turnt up anyway??? No structure in learning and just fixes everything for me as oppose to allowing me to correct myself and actually LEARN, as though he will be present in the test?!

Fantastic experience: I had a driving license in America, but Sam showed me how to drive safely in the crazy UK roads. I’m glad I had my lessons with him as in turned me into a much better driver.

Fantastic experience: Passed with Sam's instruction. Sam has a well designed syllabus and makes sure you have learnt the topic at hand before moving on to the next one. Sam cares about seeing progress with his students and will make sure they understand their mistakes.

Negative experience: Worst service ever. I do not recommend this at all. The "instructor" isn't polite, actually really rude and without any sense of explaining anything. Please avoid this at all costs.
