Fantastic experience: Ozgul was my instructor, she was amazing she was very calm and patient when teaching me, she listened to what I wanted to do and adapted lessons to fit my needs. She was very observant and identified the way I learn, and what sort of teaching works with me and what doesn’t, meaning she could adapt lessons to do what would definitely help me the most and make me pick things up faster. I always felt very safe in the car and was never nervous for driving lessons. I would reccomend her and this driving school to everyone she was a perfect instructor.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test at my first attempt with only 3 minors in such a short - limited time period thanks to Lavinia Driving School. I remember the first day we started. I was so nervous, my hands were shaking when holding the steering but in a couple of weeks, they made me so calm, safe and confident that I could pass at my first attempt. I can’t thank enough to Ozgul, Rabia and Cigdem. All they were very supportive. They are wonderful people and great instructors. I definetely recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous and stressed when I first started my driving lessons with Lavinia Driving School but the techniques they use I couldn’t believe I was driving very calm and not nervous at all thanks to you guys. Every lesson I have achieved my goal and the service was very much client centred which is what everyone wants when they are paying to learn driving. Fantastic experience: When I first started training with Ozgul for my Part 2 driving test, we began with left and right turns. And I couldn’t help but think, “I’ve been driving for years! Why are we still doing side roads and turns? Let’s get to the big roundabouts and start the mock tests already!” Little did I know, Ozgul had a master plan. When I got to my Part 3 training, I finally realised my assumptions were way off. Turns out, the Part 2 examiner doesn’t care about whether you’re just a good driver – they want to see if you actually get the skills you’ll be teaching. They’re looking for that potential instructor sparkle! Ozgul, clever as she is, was already laying the groundwork for my Part 3 training without me even realising it. Now, speaking of challenges, speed signs and I were not on speaking terms. I’d miss them, go over the limit, you name it. So Ozgul turned it into a game. She guided me on a route with all sorts of speed limits and threw down a challenge: if I spotted all the speed signs and stayed within the limits, I’d win a free 30-minute lesson. And guess what? I nailed 9 out of 10! That last one was hiding pretty well, though! By the time Part 3 training came around, I was seriously impressed with Ozgul methods. She created this environment where I could ask any question and make mistakes without judgement. Her feedback was always constructive, helping me sharpen my skills. She taught me how crucial it is to connect with learners, to actually listen to them, and adapt my teaching style to fit their needs. It didn’t just boost my confidence; it made me realise how important empathy is in teaching. Ozgul also introduced different teaching techniques, showing me how to break down complex ideas into simple explanations. Her use of real-life scenarios made everything click so much better. Looking back, I appreciate the depth of her teaching—and the patience she had, especially when I thought I already knew it all! Also, I have to say, Ozgul's commitment to improving her teaching skills really inspired me. I've been teaching for nearly two decades, and I’ve always believed in the power of self-improvement – you could call me a lifelong learner. But it’s rare to find someone who’s just as dedicated to levelling up, always working on becoming a better version of themselves. When I come across someone like that, I stick to them like glue! Ozgul’s mentorship has been invaluable, and I know her example will keep pushing me to grow, too. I happily passed Part 3 on 15th September 2024. The examiner's last sentence was, "Continue your professional development; I know you are in good hands.” If you're thinking of becoming a driving instructor, Ozgul is the perfect choice! As a family with other PDIs, we learn and grow together, sharing our experiences and best practices along the way. I’m also excited to start my training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) soon with Ozgul, which will help me better understand and support anxious learners. After all, driving is about more than just getting behind the wheel—it’s about building confidence and navigating life’s twists and turns together!

Fantastic experience: When I had my first lesson with Nuzhat I wasn't sure. Most of the people I knew had passed on automatic. I was told it would take longer on manual etc.... but to be honest gears were not that hard to get hang of. Nuzhat was very calm and soft spoken towards me and her way of teaching was very nice and clear. I had a target when I wanted to do my test and Alhumdulillah I got it done! It was such a relief! If wanting to learn manual book her! She has a really good pass rate. ✌️

Fantastic experience: Ozgul is the best driving instructor. She caters to each driver and she is very professional. She has her own app where you can book lessons. I failed my last test with 2 majors and 9 minors but after lessons with Ozgul I passed with only 1 minor ! The best instructor you can find . She is also flexible and gives regular lessons unlike certain instructors as she is motivated to help her students . She is very friendly and teaches you how to drive any car. Fantastic experience: I have worked with numerous instructors in the past and my experience of working with Ozgul at this company was fantastic. I had always been a really anxious driver (and in general!), lacking confidence and trust in my ability to independently drive safely and she was really patient, reflective and thoughtful in her approach at helping me to recognise and manage my nerves using different techniques that were tailored to my specific needs! She really went the extra mile and took into consideration which learning styles I benefit from (visual learner), how I prefer to receive feedback (constructive and with an explanation at a time I can focus and process on pointers given) and was able to reassure and validate me which all helped me become the independent, confident safe driver I am now if you’re similarly an anxious learner (and think “you’ll never pass” or “be able to independently drive”), I would 100% recommend this company to meet your goals and get your license!

Fantastic experience: The best driving school out there, I was fortunate to meet a few of their instructors and all of them are very patient and help you overcome your mistakes. However, I would like to give extra credit to Umit, as he is a brilliant instructor that can explain everything to you. He was very patient and pushed me a lot in order for me to pass first time! Fantastic experience: I passed my exam on the first attempt with the great lessons from Lavinia. As a beginner to drive, I was so nervous, but my instructor Cigdem encouraged me and helped to gain confidence on different type of roads, specially country roads was my favourite. She well analysed my driving ability and fixed the driving faults on the go. Lavinia gave me the success key to pass my exam in first attempt. When I was to close to my exam date, I got multiple mock tests and assessments/ Show me / Tell me guidance in readiness to become 10/10. I definitely want to thank Ozgul, for additionally upskilling me to drive more comfortable. I passed the exam with 3 minor faults. Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Lavinia for the past year and I had Çiğdem and Özgül as my instructors. The two ladies both are unique in their very own way of teaching. They are well trained to be ‘great’ teachers, they are very patient and understanding. They will make sure you’re 100% certain with everything, they don’t ever make you feel you’re on a timescale and should be quick to sit the test straight away. They’ve been very supportive of me, and have guided me all the way. I’m very happy to have passed and most of all to have got to know of these two lovely teachers.

Fantastic experience: I passed the exam on the first attempt with the major help of Lavinia :) When I got the first lesson from Lavinia, I was so nervous during the driving. However, my instructor makes me more encouraged and more confident. She knows where you are confused during driving. Depending on that, she focuses on your confusion and mistakes. She is absolutely an expert on the instructor. Before I took the test, we took more than ten mock tests. I had some faults during the mock test. But, after the third or fourth lecture, my aim was to pass the exam with zero minor faults. Thanks a million, Lavinia :)

Negative experience: My instructor (I do not want to give her name) in Newcastle, can make you repeat a single roundabout all day to get you more lessons. And she might let you down, just like she did to me. She is totally disappointment. Fortunately, thanks to Mr. Alpay from U Drive School Of Motoring, I passed on the first time with only 2 minors.

Fantastic experience: Ozgul helped me to pass my test first time with only 3 minors on the 2nd of August 2021! I couldn’t believe it, I am over the moon! She has made me a really confident driver! She explained all the rules and gave me confidence to drive safely. Ozgul is a brilliant driving instructor, very patient and relaxed. Fantastic experience: I recently passed my practical driving test with Lavinia Driving School with only 2 minors. If you are looking to pass with confidence I would highly recommend this company as you won't find anywhere better. From the moment I started my lessons with my instructor Ozgul, she made me feel so comfortable and calm even when my nerves got the better of me. It truly felt like I was driving with a friend. She was the most amazing instructor I could have asked for and I genuinely don't think I could have passed with anyone else. Driving can be really nerve-wracking at times but Ozgul really knew how to help me overcome my emotions and any obstacles I faced to ensure I became a safe driver. With this company you not only will pass your driving test with complete confidence, but you will make a friendship for a lifetime. And lastly, despite my test being cancelled so many times due to COVID, exceptionally long waiting lists and numerous lockdowns, Ozgul made sure I had a test booked when I was ready. I truly had the most amazing experience learning how to drive with my instructor and I would 100% recommend this driving company to everyone; it doesn't get better than this!!

Fantastic experience: I chose Lavinia (Miss Ozgul) from other reviews and thanked for that. I am a nervous person and my experience with the previous instructors had lowered down my confidence. From the start, Miss Ozgul wanted me to feel comfortable with her car, and feel like I am the owner. During the lessons, she will observe and address my mistakes and bad habits (even tiny ones, she is very detailed!) and will encourage me to fix it. Sometimes she drives the car, just to give me example on how to do it correctly. She will try very hard to make me understand and do correctly to the highway code standard. She gave me this wise advice, that everybody makes mistakes. Don't quit, but fix it. At the end of lessons, she sometimes gave homeworks. All she wanted that a learner should commit to do their best too. Two thumbs up for her excellent teaching style and patience. I will absolutely recommend her. Wish you best, Miss!
