Fantastic experience: I Couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor. After giving up learning a long time ago I was reluctant and anxious about learning to drive again and I was not a natural at driving but Scott was always friendly, patient and supportive. Scott was always clear with his instructions and lesson plans and I managed to pass first time and I can’t thank him enough.

Fantastic experience: I made the decision to start learning to drive at the age of 44. Reached out to Scott with my intention, gave my availability and was guided through from start to finish! Just over 3 months of amazing guidance, graft, preparation, trusted honest conversations! Scott was amazing! He had a way that calmed my nerves, would talk to me calmly, honestly, openly and it allowed me to do the same! Felt like I was learning with a friend, I could not have asked for any more than that! Come test day, he made sure I was ready, he calmed me, prepared me and helped me pass first time! I was, and still am, over the moon!! Getting behind the wheel for me was a huge anxiety, maybe even a fear, but the way Scott conducted my lessons, helped me fight my demons! Such a nice guy, I will actually miss my lessons! Fantastic experience: I started having refresher lessons with Scott as I had passed my test five years ago, and hadn't driven since but needed to for a new job. This gives me greater leverage to say, then, that as Scott is my third driving instructor, he is by far the most patient, understanding and knowledgeable of them all. Despite the fact I already have a licence, he taught me new techniques and knowledge that I didn't have before. After just a few lessons with him I found driving so much more enjoyable and relaxed than I ever did, and finally feel confident and comfortable behind the wheel. Many instructors will just get you to a basic level so that you will pass your test, and not bother to teach you the skills that you need outside of this. Scott is certainly not one of these people, and he will make sure you are equipped with all of the knowledge you need to be a safe and confident driver, long after you pass your test. I would recommend Scott to anyone. (I would also like to point out that Scott takes every precaution with COVID-19 rules and regulations, and makes sure the car is completely and thoroughly sanitised at every handover, even if you are swapping between driver and passenger throughout the lesson - and he always wears a face mask.)

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Scott’s Driving School highly enough. After learning to drive with Scott, I managed to pass first time! He was so patient and encouraging whilst I was learning. After not feeling confident enough on the run up to my test, he made sure I had time to work on certain aspects of my driving that I wasn’t sure of. I was never afraid to ask about anything I wasn’t sure of and my driving is all the better for it. Especially during Covid, Scott made sure it was a safe experience and he made sure to take every precaution necessary to stay safe in such unprecedented times. I am very grateful to Scott for helping me to learn to drive and for making it an enjoyable experience at the same time.

Fantastic experience: Choosing Scott as your driving instructor is one of the greatest decisions you will ever make. I was quite a slow learner to begin with and had to repeat my progress several times over. However, Scott remained patient and encouraging throughout every single lesson. Not once did I ever feel under pressure to do something or grasp a concept hurriedly. Thanks to Scott, when the test came, I did not feel anxious or stressed and went on to pass with one minor driving fault. Fantastic experience: I would really recommend Scott’s driving school. Scott is very professional and makes sure he has a lesson plan set out before the lesson. He is very clear and calm when communicating to you. I struggle with processing information fast and I found it difficult to drive a car but Scott found lots of different strategies to help me with my process. Other than being very professional, Scott is also very easy to talk to. In my experience, Scott and I had a good laugh and spoke about other stuff, which made the driving lessons more enjoyable. Therefore, if you’re looking for a driving instructor, Scott is your man!

Fantastic experience: Im not sure where to begin when it comes to praising Scott for his continuous dedication towards his job and pupils and I cannot possibly write down each example of the countless times he helped me, not only with driving but with my own personal problems when they started having a negative impact on my lessons. I started in February 2019 whilst 6 months pregnant and it was emotional to say the least. With hormones running high Scott never once judged me or made me feel unable to do the task at hand, he always encouraged me and made sure I knew I could do it and would succeed eventually. I struggle a lot with constructive criticism and immediately believe Im not good enough and feel like I’m failing at everything. Whenever I felt this way Scott would often get me to stop driving, pull up and talk about whats bothering me and why I feel the way I do to fully understand how he could help me and then see how he could change his teaching approach to make sure I was being taught in the best possible way for me. Once I had had my little boy in May thats when lessons progressed and my confidence grew which enable me to come out of my shell a little more making driving seem less scary. From then on He worked on every aspect of driving, never missed out the small stuff, made sure I understood road layouts, roundabouts and especially for me crossroads with and without filter boxes as those really tested me. Towards my test date he would ask me if I felt we needed to focus on certain areas to build my confidence even more to make sure I felt safe and confident in all areas of driving. It really has been a great journey with Scott, he and I have both shared stories of upset but mostly laughter about life and the world, and I would recommend him to anyone. Such a kind hearted gentleman. Will miss you! Thanks for everything ☺️

I've had a few driving instructors in the past who didnt explain anything who kept putting me for my test when clearly wasn't ready. With Scott I'm at great ease that he will put me through when im ready and will pass first time. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: The impression I got when I first started learning from Scott was feeling extremely patronised by the way he spoke to me. I don’t know if it was just me but he failed miserably at motivating me during my driving journey and even suggested that I took automatic lessons or give up driving all together just after 2 lessons! Anyway, I passed my driving test now (first time) and have proved that with the right instructor you can do very well. Unfortunately, in my case Scott did not deliver and hope that nobody else goes through that de-motivating style of teaching he showed me. Best of luck to everyone

Fantastic experience: I've got nothing but a massive amount of praise for Scott. He's an excellent driving instructor who explains each topic clearly to make it easy to understand. He's also brilliant at identifying where you're going wrong and what you can do to fix the problem - and then lo and behold, once you take on board his advice everything in the car just becomes so much easier! He is incredibly patient and really understands a person's individual needs. On the days where I was having a particularly stressful drive, he knew exactly what to do to build up my confidence again. Not only is he a great driving instructor but he's genuinely once of the nicest guys around and is so easy to chat with. I passed first time with Scott with only one minor and I cannot thank him enough!

Fantastic experience: Scott is a superb instructor. He's reliable and prompt, responding to messages quickly and always arriving on time (which had been an issue for me with previous instructors). He was very patient, yet persistent in ironing out bad habits in my driving, giving very clear and tailored advice. With a relaxed and personable manner, Scott is also very easy to talk to and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. Easily the best driving instructor I have ever had and an all round top bloke.

Fantastic experience: Scott has seen me go from fearing the accelerator pedal to passing my test on the first try. He teaches in a way that suits you. He's a great listener and observer, so he was able to figure out the best approach to suit me personally. As a result I saw my ability to drive improve at such a rate that I was 100% ready to take on the test as it drew near. The lessons were sometimes an emotional experience but Scott had the patience to see me through the worst of times. I'd recommend him to anyone who's both eager and apprehensive at the same time. And now that I've passed, I'm nothing but excited to get back on the road.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for driving lessons in Nottingham. I am not the easiest person to teach, but his ability to pass on his high level of knowledge is first class (and I had a couple of lessons with somebody else before, it amazed me how much clearer it was with Scott). Not only will you be able to pass the test but you'll become the best, and safest driver you can be. It's important to learn with someone who: puts you at ease, understands the way that you learn, and that you can get on with. For that I cannot recommend Scott enough. Top guy!

Fantastic experience: Scott was really helpful in teaching me to drive. Instructions were given clearly and calmly, to allow for you to understand them easily. There is no rush if something doesn't go well and he takes the time to talk to you about anything you might be confused about. Fantastic experience: Such a great instructor! A few months back I was terrified to get into a car and even simple tasks has me worried. Scott managed to calm me down and allow me to develop my knowledge of certain situations and develop as a driver! Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoyed learning to drive with Scott. From my very first lesson to the day of my test I felt at ease in the car and his instruction throughout was impeccable. Scott holds himself and his students to extremely high standards and it shows in the rest of these reviews. If you don't grasp something the first time then Scott will explain it in a different way and be patient with you. His top quality teaching showed when I took my test as I passed first time with no faults, then the next day another student did the same. Which is a testament to the standards Scott holds himself and his students to. I would whole heartedly recommend Scott to anyone learning to drive, whether you've never had a lesson or if you have some experience. The lessons are worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't driven since my first 10 lessons with a different instructor back when I was 17 (now 21) and was rather nervous to get back on the road. After my fist lesson with Scott I was confident that I was in good hands with an experienced instructor. Scott’s teaching style is assertive and reassuring and he really teaches you how to drive safely, not just to pass your test which I feel sets him apart from others. Scott quickly identified the areas of my driving that needed improvement or where I wasn't confident (hills!) and worked at it with me until it became second nature. Because of Scott’s great teaching (in a relatively short period of time) I was able to pass my test first time with barely any minors and now feel very confident driving independently. I would also recommend everyone to do at least one motorway lesson with Scott after you pass as this helped me a great deal with my fear of motorways! All in all, Scott is a great driving instructor and you'd be daft not to learn with him. 5 Stars. Thanks Scott!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test with Scott 10 years ago (2005) while at University. But due to living and working in Nottingham City Centre I never had to drive for 10 year until starting a new job. I decided to have refresher lessons and remembered Scott was a great driving instructor. The refresher lessons which included motorway driving certainly boosted my confidence. I highly recommend Scott for first time drivers and refresher lessons.

Fantastic experience: Scott was able to ease me back into driving after taking a long break from it. He was incredibly thorough and thanks to him, I was able to pass my test first time! I now feel a lot more confident and his wise words still echo in the back of my mind whilst driving independently.

Fantastic experience: Having failed my test three years ago and not driven since, i contacted Scott three weeks prior to a test date i had booked. I was apprehensive and nervous about driving again, but Scott helped me through all of that, was very flexible and accommodating when it came to lessons and in that short time period he got me back up to test standard and i passed the test !
