Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Mark. He took me from being quite a nervous driver to looking forward to driving lessons and passing first time. He has invaluable knowledge of Slough test routes and common mistakes. He is easy to communicate with via message and is great company in the car. He recaps over learning after each lesson and gives you opportunities to focus on what you feel you need to. I feel well prepared for safe lone driving and couldn’t have done it without him. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Mark as your driving instructor. (I passed first time with zero minors!) I had lessons with Mark before I went off to university and didn’t get the chance to do my test. When I came back, he was more than happy to start lessons again straight away. Lessons were always on time and never cancelled. They were great for easing you into driving without feeling overwhelmed, starting on smaller roads and slowly building up to busier roads and driving test routes in Slough. Mark is great at reassuring you and supporting you with your driving, never getting annoyed with inevitable mistakes. I passed my test with Mark, getting ZERO minors, which is a credit to the mirror work we spent time practicing and perfecting. I would highly recommend Mark as a driving instructor! — Ben

Negative experience: Not a fake review. Very unprofessional instructor. Steer clear. A while back, 5 weeks before my daughter's test, Mark informed us he was going on holiday for a week. On his return, he did not answer the phone, or reply to messages about the next lesson. Just Ghosted us. The only explanation I can think of is that he thought my daughter was going to fail her test. So he drops her. Luckily we managed to find an instructor to take her on, and she passed 1st time. No thanks to Mark. Would not recommend him.

Fantastic experience: After using a handful of other driving instructors in the area who didn’t seam very interested. I decided to start my lessons with mark. Right from the start I noticed a huge improvement. He is very reliable and made me feel at ease and confident while driving. He helped me pass my test and I would definitely recommend him as an instructor to anyone learning to drive!

Negative experience: Started with Mark in 2014. Still haven’t passed my test because of the experience I had with him. Terrible attitude could tell he didn’t want to be there. Now 10 years on and still in the same situation. Had over 80 hours with him and still couldn’t drive down the road without stalling. This is a reflection of his teachings. Sometimes he wouldn’t even turn up for my lessons which really put the icing on the cake before having to stop lessons all together and yes you have taught me just because I don’t go under my real name on here doesn’t mean you haven’t taught me. You were absolutely awful, weird and I felt very uncomfortable with our lessons.

Fantastic experience: Mark is an excellent driving instructor, he knew exactly what he was doing and made sure that I understood what it took to be able to pass my test. He was very clear with the difficulty's that can be faced when trying to take a test and made sure that I was up to standard so I had the best chance of passing first time. I did so am I’m incredibly thankful. Five stars!

Fantastic experience: I had very little confidence in driving before having lessons with Mark, he really helped boost it again. During all of my lessons he was always so helpful, and really listens to what you want to practice and then will tailor the lesson around that. Positive experience: My daughter had about 10 driving lessons with Mark. He was highly professional and polite, and she generally enjoyed his lessons. Unfortunately, we have to change him for another instructor. The reason was that frequently the time for lessons was changed on a very short notice, and it was quite difficult to have a confirmed schedule in advance.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time and couldn't recommend Mark as a driving instructor enough. Even with regulations and lockdowns due to Covid-19 he was flexible and reliable. His tips and methods left me excited to take my test as I felt prepared for any scenario. He is extremely friendly and lovely to chat to yet also professional. Thanks Mark!!!

Negative experience: Sent a message to Mark about getting some lessons on the 14th of August, now the 19th and not even a response. Seems that Mark bothers with responding to his negative Google reviews more than with messages sent to him about booking driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time thanks to Mark. Even though our lessons were strung out over 9 months due to lockdowns, Mark ensured I retained the relevant knowledge to become a safe driver. His teaching technique is great and I could tell he put a lot of effort into developing even more effective ways to teach, building driver confidence and ability. He is a perfectionist and ensures that every single aspect of driving is to an excellent standard. He adapts the lessons depending on your needs. Fantastic experience: Mark is an excellent driving instructor and doesn’t dwell on your mistakes he tries to help you improve instead. Very flexible on times and pick up locations. I found the method of learning the manoeuvres I found helpful and memorable. The lessons are a really good price and good quality. He’s also not too serious which means it’s more relaxed and less strict teaching which is a good laid back approach.

Fantastic experience: Mark is a fantastic driving instructor!! I would totally recommend him to anyone learning to drive. There is no beating around the bush, he is straight in teaching the proper methods and pushes good driving practices straight away. I just passed 1st time and I couldn't be happier with how I was taught. Now on to do the Pass Plus course :D

Fantastic experience: Mark is a great driving instructor. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to teach me to drive and have a laugh about it at the same time. Made me feel really confident in my driving abilities as we continuously worked on different situations and maneuvers. I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive from scratch or from after failing a test as his friendly attitude and calm behavior will put you at ease. Also his lessons are really reasonably priced for the quality that you get. If you book an hour lesson you will get an hour of driving time! Fantastic experience: After failing my test a few years back I was very nervous to begin lessons again. Earlier this year I took the plunge and booked up with MRK 1 and have not looked back since. Mark is a fantastic instructor who's unique teaching style adapts to suit his individual pupils needs. His techniques for manoeuvres and dealing with situations are second to none and gives you confidence in your own driving ability. Alongside all this MRK 1 is very reasonably priced for the level of expertise and I would recommend this driving school as the best having tried numerous other instructors in the area.

Fantastic experience: Passed Today 1st Time! Starting as a very very nervous driver I was doubtful that I would ever pass but with the support and confidence provided by Mark, by the time my test date came I had no doubt in my mind that I would fail, throughout my lessons he was calm and confident reassuring me at every turn, the only sad thing about passing is that I won't see him as often, apart from when I drive pass in my new car! Fantastic experience: Excellent instructor! sadly had to leave the lessons as I moved house, but if I could have stayed then I would, he has helped me with everything I needed to do for the test. It was fun and usually ran over time which was down to the pure urge to teach me how to drive. Recommended highly and wouldn't go anywhere else, also has a very nice car which is comfy, Reliable and worth learning in! wish I could have carried on with MRK1!

Fantastic experience: Very good experience - 5/5 used mark as my two brothers passed with mark 1st time, he is fun, good company very professional he makes you work very hard you don't miss a thing he has very high standards which benefits you as the learner. You should call him if you want to pass first time and not want have your time wasted like some other instructors I've heard.

Negative experience: Mark is calm laid back instructor. He's keen to ensure you drive smoothly and gracefully which is great as over time, you appear much more relaxed and experienced than your number of lessons might let on. However, that's where the dream ends. Unfortunately, the laid back approach means that he often misses out on minor flaws you have and doesn't call them out as early as he should, meaning bad habits might develop that you later might need to iron out. Now tuition aside, a brief comment on his professionalism: non-existent. Whilst Mark makes a reassuring effort to not use his mobile during lessons, trying to get hold of him under any circumstance is borderline impossible. He often refuses to answer calls, voicemails and texts. This escalated to breaking point a week before my test where Mark just disappeared off the radar without a word; completely silent, leaving me to dwell about my situation (I hear rumours this wasn't the first time he's done that). If driving tuition is your business, at least make a concerted effort to give a flying hoot about your pupils. Luckily, I found another instructor (Neil) who you'll find has stellar reviews here on Google and from the many pupils he's tutored.
