All of the communication prior to my training was excellent and informed me of what was required before my training and Olly managed all of this (medical and theory tests).The training days were informative and prepared me for my test (which I passed on my first attempt). Olly is approachable, experienced and makes you feel at ease whilst driving. He is very knowledgable and provides clarity in his feedback and when answering questions. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Ollys Driver Training. Communication from the start was excellent and Olly organises all the medicals, theory tests and booking tests which was a weight off my shoulders. Patient and informative when out on the practice drives which made for a first time D1 pass. The vehicle used was of a good standard and the learner pack which is sent out before enables some pre- learning. All in all, a great experience learning with Olly :)

Negative experience: This is a very unprofessional teaching school. They just want you to increase your study time. I have been trained and tested by other companies before so I know After coming to your company, I realized how rubbish you are and how bad your integrity is. You are like a liar. On the first day of class, I felt that your words forced others to increase tuition fees, which made you very happy. That's why I gave you the opportunity to take this exam. I'm sure this isn't your first time. I checked the comments and found that there should be other students who had similar experiences. I am training E+D

Negative experience: I recently undertook C1 driver training with Olly's Driver Training, with the goal of attaining my lorry driving license. While there were some positive aspects to my experience, overall, I found the training to be lacking in support and encouragement. I would like to provide an honest and balanced review. On the positive side, I must acknowledge that Olly, my instructor, displayed a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field. It was evident that he possessed the necessary skills and qualifications to teach aspiring lorry drivers. Additionally, I appreciated his punctuality and organisational skills, which contributed to the smooth running of our sessions. However, I encountered several negative aspects throughout my training that greatly impacted my overall experience. One issue I encountered was a lack of support from Olly. Instead of fostering a supportive learning environment, I often felt overly criticised, leading to unnecessary nervousness behind the wheel, and I am not usually a nervous driver at all. Mistakes or actions that fell short of Olly's expectations were reiterated with a 20-30 second lecture every time, and the feedback provided lacked the supportive tone that would have helped me improve. Consequently, this approach left me feeling demotivated and discouraged. Moreover, it became apparent that Olly did not demonstrate a genuine interest in my success. His demeanor and teaching style did not resonate with my learning needs or personality. I often felt that since I had already paid for the training, he did not make the effort to offer the necessary encouragement that would have positively impacted my progress. One incident that stood out as unprofessional and unsafe occurred when I accidentally took a wrong turn during one of our training sessions. Instead of calmly guiding me through the situation, Olly abruptly grabbed the wheel, forcibly trying to redirect the vehicle because it would have made us late back to the facility (approx 17:15pm). This action compromised safety and undermined my confidence as the driver responsible for making decisions. Despite his assertion that the sudden change was safe, I saw an approaching car in my wing mirror and deemed it not safe. I believe it is essential for an instructor to prioritise the safety of their students while allowing them to learn from their mistakes. Also, and to my surprise, I felt more relaxed with my first examiner than I did with Olly in the three days of training. This experience served as a clear indicator that something was amiss. Although I do not blame Olly for my test failure, my experience with him contributed to my stress and nervousness. After the test, all I received was a lecture about what I did wrong. Later that evening, Olly emailed me to ask about my availability for a re-test, and when I gave him honest feedback about my experience, and said I would be using another provider, he failed to reply to me when I asked him to kindly forward the feedback from the DVSA so I could pass it on to my next provider, which I thought was quite petty. I passed the retest a few days later with DrivingLives, and I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the exceptional service provided by them. Their instructors provided a night and day difference in support. From the moment I contacted them, they made me feel incredibly welcomed, at ease, and guided. Despite the short notice, DrivingLives accommodated me, which I wholeheartedly appreciated. I highly recommend them to anyone aspiring to attain their C1 driver's license. In conclusion, my experience with Olly's Driver Training was disheartening. While Olly's knowledge was commendable, the lack of support, the overly critical approach, the absence of genuine care for my success, the mismatched teaching style, and the unprofessional incident I encountered undermined the quality of the training. As a result, I cannot recommend Olly's Driver Training for C1 driver training based on my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: Highly reccomed these guys from my first enquiry to passing my class 1 the whole team was brilliant I phoned other driving schools before olly's and they no interest until you had paid that was a big difference for me Olly and Richard assisted me with everything I needed before I paid anything and lee deliver a great Cpc mod 4. (You will be in safe hands with these guys)

Negative experience: Really not happy with his service he sat there in his Oakleys with his leather gloves on slating everyones driving skills.made me feel very uneasy kept shouting about how he was the king of the road and there was no space for amateurs. I made a mistake and he screamed and shouted I'd scuffed his tyres he took the wheel and said he is the Don awful instructor don't use.

I listened, absorbed and then Olly tidied it all up and managed to convince the examiner I was a halfway decent driver. Fantastic experience: I've known Oliver for a long time and when he started his own company in training people in driving large vehicle was made up, not thinking I would be need his help with my towing licence. After speaking to him he but me in touch with his colleague who had the pleasure of teaching me. What can I say, he was amazing, patience, great to get on with, so carming. Negative experience: I went with Olly's driver training, and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone else. I paid alot of money to learn/pass class 2, but for some reason my first day was wasted driving a 7.5t. Whilst on my lessons he made me feel very uneasy, quite rightly I was bound to make mistakes but with every mistake I was greeted with abrupt and unpleasant shouting which then in turn made me super nervous to continue. Upon failing I decided to look at using another company.

Fantastic experience: Trained with olly over 16 hours, never drove a truck in my life he is very professional and absolutely drills things into you, I thought he was a bit hard on me at 1st but there is reason to why, i passed on my 1st attempt only after I passed he told me why, very professional and would recommend to anyone if there is anyone wanting to do theirs he will not let you get away with doing anything that you shouldn't be he raises you above the standard and expects you to stay there, I'm a bricklayer by trade an he got me to pass on the 1st attempt he will be a successful young man no doubt about it, thanks again olly

Fantastic experience: I took a 16hr class 2 training course with Ollie. Even though I have been driving a bus for many years, I was under no illusions, while both vehicles maybe similar in size, the driving technique is somewhat different. I took on Ollies advice and over the course implemented the changes to my driving needed to pass the test. Ollie is a young man with a very mature head on his shoulders and even at times when I got frustrated and annoyed with myself, he persevered to advise me I was more than capable of passing the test, Today I passed with 4 minor faults .Thankyou ollie, All going well, I will hopefully be able to book class 1 training soon.
