Fantastic experience: Finally took the plunge after having minibus’s for over 20 years and decided to go for my D1 license with Sunderland LGV Driver Training from my first phone call with the lovely Donna in reception who explained everything and answered every question I needed to know she gave me the confidence to book. I had a lovely patient trainer called David ( Boss’s son ) I was nervous at first but he explained everything yet again and reminded me I CAN DRIVE. So off we went the instructions were clear the route’s were good but busy at times which gave me more experience and confidence which I lacked in dealing with traffic around me. I would recommend anyone who needs training in almost any category to use these guy’s the whole team is amazing and I want to thank you all for my experience oops near forgot to add and getting me my D1 license first time

Fantastic experience: Absolutely buzzing, I passed my class 2 today with Sunderland lgv, huge thanks to Dave Crouch jnr and the team for the guidance, support and professionalism over the past week. Couldn't recommend them highly enough

Negative experience: Unfortunately tried to change my course in life after being made redundant and paid LGV £1500 to start my hgv Unfortunately after paying money I still had to apply for my provisional licence to driver class 1 this never happened through very unbelievable circumstances which I explained to lgv and understandably ask for a refund ( not expecting full) after all I had only did a medical which they arranged which after I had to pay for a eye test costing £45. I was given access to training videos and test videos which you can pay for your self not costing anywhere near £1500. So I spoke to lgv over the phone and was told we only have a 14 day refund policy(when dealing with dvla )but was told that they would put my case forward and hope the director would understand unfortunately I received not a phone call but an email which was very short and sweet saying you sign the contract your getting nothing back which to me makes me feel robbed there is no way LGV can justify £1500 for what I have received bad business Re:your response point 1 regarding communication your system may show only communication on these dates but not all communication was through email as it was more realistic and easier to communicate via phone to explain the situation. Point 2 you state it took me 7 months to get a response from the DVLA does that not prove that a 14 day refund policy is not realistic Point 3 you have stated on a public forum that I have personal issues that you have no evidence of which to me is more slanderous than anything I have in my review Point 4 as per asking for a refund I asked as I don't think in any circumstance does £1500 pay for anything I have received yourselves

Fantastic experience: Really friendly and helpful team. Everybody did their best to get me ready as soon as possible for my C1+E test, while working around my schedule and keeping me informed of any changes. Even when my test was cancelled for snow, they rearranged it very quickly and managed to get the retest sorted as soon as I was next free.

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive a bus (category D) with Sunderland LGV Driver Training. Absolutely brilliant Driver Trainer (David) and the coach I learned to drive in was lovely to drive (Volvo 9700 tri-axle). The office staff were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them for your driver training.

Fantastic experience: Well what can you say about Sunderland lgv. What a brilliant company. They give me all the teaching I needed to pass my C+E licence. The first week getting taught what to do in a class 2 by David. He was brilliant and made to feel at ease and make confidence come very quick. Week 2 being taught how to drive a class 1 by Tony what a guy the patience of guru. His tutoring techniques are class 1 them self. 1 massive tip please listen to him he's like a woman hes always right but on a serious note thank you Sunderland lgv for what you have done for me and my career as a hgv driver ps Jaspers a legend ‍

Fantastic experience: GET YOURSELVES DOWN TO SUNDERLAND LGV THERE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Passed my test today absolutely over the moon. My instructor Jason was brilliant we had a right laugh all the staff were excellent all the instructors are spot on and the receptionists were spot on also. Especially Kim who gave me a cuddle at the end of my test thank yous all.

Fantastic experience: On/off-site parking, easily accessible location. Great instructors, quality training vehicles, clean facilities. Instruction on city centre roads, busy major roads and in challenging residential areas. Great value compared to other training providers in the region. I'd highly recommend training here. I learned of Sunderland LGV Training from a colleague who also passed his C+E test first time with this school.

Most people I saw there, they passed at first attempt, in my case - it didn't go so well - my nerves got the best of me on driving test day , but the encouragement that I received from these guys was just unbelievable . Fantastic experience: Each member of the team are so friendly and make you feel welcome. From day 1 meeting Paul my instructor he put me at ease. He trained me very well as i passed 1st time on the reversing test and 1st on the practical. I would definitely recommend this company

Did my B+E trailer license training and test, From making the first phonecall and speaking to Dave, everything was very friendly and professional. Steph was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had leading up to the start of my training. Paul the instructor was very professional and knowledgable. Dave was also really helpful on the day of my test. Having never towed a trailer before, I passed the test first attempt!! Fantastic experience: Just wanted to leave a review for these guys as couldn't fault the training I received and the help from Amanda in the office. If your considering going for your HGV I can highly recommend I passed my Class 2 first time and went straight onto my Class 1 passed first time too. Fantastic experience: What a Training centre this is!!!!! I wanted my D license (Bus) but wanted to do it around my work. This entailed some late evenings but wasn't a problem for Sunderland LGV. The owner Dave trained me from start to finish. His approach to teaching is outstanding! Relaxed, fun and informative. Amanda in the office was brilliant! Nothing was a bother. I wanted finance so I wasn't pulling out a lump sum....... No problem at all, sorted straight away. One thing I have forgotten to mention........ Passed first time Thank you Dave and your fantastic team!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing company and staff here, just passed my class 2 LGV test today, all CPC included. The trainers here are such nice people, they know how to keep you relaxed and can have a laugh while you are learning to drive. Passed my test with flying colours all thanks to the team, they give you all the required revision you need for not just the Theory and Hazard Perception but all the CPC case studies too. I couldn't imagine gaining my licence through anyone else. Needless to say once my licence comes back with my cat. C on it I'll be putting straight in for my class 1 with these guys. Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to go for LGV training. Passed my Class 1 & 2 here and can't speak highly enough of everyone who works here. Steph, Dave, Terry, Paul and all the other instructors all make the company what it is. From day one I was helped through the process from advice about medical, CPC training and they are always approachable to give advice. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service couldn't be more helpful, after struggling for a test date from my lgv trainer they took me on and got me a test date a week later. Instructor was really helpful, pointing out my errors and making me feel at ease as I was really anxious about my test. Dave who i met, the young lass who i spoke to on the phone juggled there diary around to fit me in, are in my eyes the people who will go the extra mile for there clients not like some of the bigger companies out there. If anyone in the north east is considering lgv training these are the guy's to be doing it with, and the instructors are the guy's you want training you .5 stars for everyone at Sunderland lgv.
