Fantastic experience: Honestly I can't recommend Tony as an instructor enough, he made me more confident and safe with my driving. I knew from the very first lesson that if I carried on with Tony I would pass my test on my first attempt and that's exactly what happened. As said before I can't recommend Tony as an instructor enough, I'd recommend that if anyone is struggling and needs more confidence behind the wheel Tony is the instructor to go for. Fantastic experience: I began driving in January with an insane amount of doubt and nerves, Tony made me extremely confident behind the wheel and each mistake I made was taken as something I could learn on rather than a fault. I felt very safe each time I was driving as every time I made a mistake he was quick reacting to stop a dangerous situation but also gave me room to correct on the minor ones before pointing them out and never ever made me feel uncomfortable or upset due to a mistake I made as I did make a lot but got past them with plenty patience and understanding from Tony. I genuinely could not recommend a better instructor or a nicer person! Going to miss my lessons as we always had our inside jokes each time that kept me excited from the very first lesson to spend hours each week to ensure I got my license.

He has been such a kind, genuine and helpful person through out all of my lessons and is always on time. Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Tony enough! 5 stars really isn’t enough! After having a break from driving for 4.5 years I knew I had to give it another go. After researching instructors I came across Tony and his reviews were already outstanding so I bit the bullet and messaged him. From that very first message I knew he was the person that was going to get me through my test. Although the wait was around 9/10 month (just shows how popular he is) I’m so glad I waited. Our very first lesson I was so nervous to get behind the wheel again but Tony made me feel at ease. He has built my confidence up so much over the last few month and I can’t thank him enough for getting me through my test, something I never thought I could do.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend Tony. Kind, patient and insightful, he's also meticulous and exact. He never failed to boost my confidence but he also doesn't miss a trick so there was zero opportunity for bad habits to form. Calm, cool and collected, he gradually got me ready for a lifetime of safe driving, and then prepped me perfectly for my test, going the extra mile and beyond to get me ready. Big feelings and nerves started to get me on the morning of the test (including tears!) but he coached me through, helped me focus, and thanks to all the effective prep work in my lessons, i could focus on being calm and safe out on the road... which resulted in a first time pass (4 minors)! Back when i was 19 I had a few lessons, but gave up before learning theory etc. 20 years later, I took a theory test and decided it was now or never to pick driving back up, but had no idea if I'd manage. This time I did my research and from his reviews, felt Tony was someone who could help me not only learn to drive properly, but become confident with it too. Due to the covid-induced backlog, like all good instructors at the time, Tony had a long waitlist; my theory test actually expired in the interim, so I took it again and continued to wait...for some reason I just knew Tony was who I needed. I'm so glad I did; while being an excellent teacher, he also helped me develop my self belief to push through and make passing a reality!

Fantastic experience: What can I say about Tony, but absolutely 1st class driving instructor. My son Charlie didnt have the best start to his driving lessons with another instructor and after he passed his theory had to look for a new one and I am so glad we found Tony and he was able to take Charlie on after a few weeks. What a difference in Charlie’s attitude to driving, he was enjoying his lessons and actually learning. Tony put him at ease and was more like his mate, having banter about Newcastle on their drives. Tony’s enthusiasm to get his students through their tests is apparent from the beginning and he kept me updated on Charlie’s progress. Charlie passed his test 1st time with 1 minor fault and was Tony’s last test of the year. What a wonderful Christmas present for all of us. I would recommend Tony to anyone looking for lessons. Fantastic experience: 5 stars don’t do justice to how great Tony has been with getting our daughter Anna through her test. His dedication and enthusiasm has been truly remarkable and his support and encouragement for Anna second to none. Not to mention his skill as an instructor which was very apparent from the beginning. Anna felt very at ease with Tony and always looked forward to her lessons. He has been unwell recently but has gone the extra mile to ensure Anna’s test went ahead. Fantastic experience: I passed first time with tony! I got the notorious thinford roundabout route and with Tony’s amazing coaching i passed with ease and a clean sheet Tony helped me when my instructor was not able to take me on anymore and he corrected all issues i had with driving. I was a nervous driver and he always took his time to explain things and never made me feel silly for any questions. Tony has a undeniable passion for teaching he does it because he loves it and more than anything he is very good to get along with and makes you feel comfortable. If i could recommend anyone i would with no doubt recommend tony!

Fantastic experience: Tony has been an excellent driving instructor, he was so calm and helpful and most of all gave me the confidence I needed to pass my test. From the very first lesson he told me “I will get you passed your test you just have to believe in yourself” I never believed him (due from other learning experiences with another instructor) not only that when I got over whelmed and frustrated he would listen and just let me talk about what was bothering me from personal issues to driving concerns I had.He sent me videos of situations with driving that I didn’t understand and we went over everything no matter how many times it took for me to understand it,sometimes it took awhile or sometimes it was quick but he never judged me or made me feel silly or daft. I passed my test first time with Tony and if your looking at learning to drive I couldn’t recommend anyone else but him.

Although I had to wait a little while for my first lesson because of how popular he was I don't regret it one bit, it was definitely worth the wait. Tony was patient and adaptive to my specific circumstances as eventhough I moved away to university before my test he took the time to come up with a plan to give me the best possible chance at passing first time and in the run up to my test he dedicated alot of time to help me get to test standard. With my previous instructors, I never enjoyed lessons and had very little driving confidence; however Tony put me at ease right from the offset and and I’ve enjoyed every minute of my learning experience with him. Fantastic experience: We cannot recommend Tony highly enough. We had to wait a bit for our son’s first lesson as he is so popular but it was well worth the wait. Tony built up the driving skills one by one which meant each skill was easier to pick up. It has been start stop throughout the pandemic but Tony has supported us all throughout the process and kept in touch throughout- including when we had to become lockdown driving instructors. So much has changed since we took our tests. Yesterday Tony got Ollie through his driving practical test with a FIRST TIME PASS and only two minor points! They really got in well together and Tony genuinely cares for his pupils. He will only let pupils take their test when they are ready resulting in a safe and confident driver. Given the backlog I need to get our daughter booked in soon. We look forward to that experience too. Thank you so much Tony!

Tony taught our daughter Abbie and got her through her test first time despite all the stop/start with covid restrictions. Fantastic experience: We were recommended Tony by a friend of ours who had passed first time. We are slightly out of Tony’s usual area but he was happy to accommodate Reece and once he had space (he’s usually got a waiting list) he was picking him up from school or home. Tony is fantastic, I didn’t have a clue how the whole thing worked and he was at the end of the phone advising and offering words of support. Reece thrived with him and was a confident driver before we knew it. Theory test smashed first time round and then working towards his test! Then Lockdown happened and 2 tests rescheduled and he had to rely on us to take him out. Thankfully Tony was again texting regularly to ask how he was and offering advice, answering my questions and reassuring me. As soon as Reece could get back on the road his test was booked and Tony has worked so hard with him to get him there putting a strict plan in place so he could concentrate on him. And today.... a first time pass and not 1 minor. Tony is not only a great instructor but a great support to parents like me who didn’t have a clue!!! Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to learn how to drive with a 10/10 instructor, you’ve got to go with my Dad!! I’ll admit I haven’t been the easiest student to teach and have definitely found driving difficult, but with his patience and support I managed to pass first time today with only 3 minors which I didn’t think I could ever achieve. He encouraged me and really helped me gain confidence when I was starting to doubt myself. My Dad is extremely good at what he does, he is professional and makes sure you’re 100% prepared for your test so you know exactly what to expect. The amount of information/tips/advice he has to offer is amazing and really is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to driving and knowing what is needed to pass a test. Fantastic experience: After hardly driving for 3 years since passing my test, I got in touch with Tony for lessons to help regain my confidence driving. Tony is incredibly friendly and professional and I felt at ease straight away. After 5 hours of lessons I was much more confident, and Tony was very honest in telling me that he did not think I required any more lessons, rather than letting me unnecessarily pay for more. Fantastic experience: I recommend Chester Le Street Driver Training very highly. Tony was recommended to me by a friend who’s son had passed with lessons from him. She said he went the extra mile, was dedicated, friendly and looked after his students. This is exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want a faceless company who just wanted to take my money, I wanted a person who I could contact at anytime of the day who would offer a bespoke service and most importantly get my daughter through her test first time. I first contacted Tony with less than a week until my daughters 17th birthday. He accommodated my short notice request, designed a fabulous voucher for my her and picked her up on her birthday. From the first lesson he taught her the basic principles, not throwing her in at the deep end, but ensuring that she was a safe and careful driver who understood the car and the rules of the road. The first five hours were at a great discount for only £99 and after that I bought more block bookings as I could see my daughters confidence improve day by day....and the prices were great value for money. Tony always went the extra mile ensuring that she knew the areas the examiners test and the top tips for maneuvering that are tested on the big day. I regularly texted Tony asking questions about certain roads and scenarios that she might come up against in her test. He would answer within minutes.....at any time of the day! The real proof in the pudding was when my daughter smashed her first driving test after just 5 weeks of learning how to drive! I can’t thank Tony enough for everything he has done. Learning to drive is about more than just techniques and parallel parking, it’s about going the extra mile, fine tuning what the student needs, building their confidence and being at the other end of a text when she needed advice. Fantastic experience: Could not recommend Tony highly enough! Tony is kind, encouraging, enthusiastic, supportive and a great laugh. He brings all of this to his teaching as well as professionalism, patience and a great understanding of the challenges of learning to drive. I felt calm and comfortable from the moment I got in the car with Tony and that continued throughout - even after the tricky ‘learning moments’ that learning to drive can bring. Tony was absolutely dedicated to our lessons and went above and beyond to keep me on track. He is a true gentleman with such integrity and I enjoyed every one of our lessons together. My foundations for driving are so sound due to all of his hard work and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to start my driving journey with him! Thank you Tony!

Fantastic experience: Tony was the best instructor imaginable helping me pass my driving test first time. His method of teaching is extremely effective allowing driving students to feel as though they are in control of their lessons after they have been taught the basics. He is also really understanding of different people’s capabilities and will never push a student too far while simultaneously being able to encourage a student to perform to their highest potential. Overall a great instructor who I would strongly recommend for anyone looking to pass their driving test.

Fantastic experience: After a year of learning to drive with a previous instructor, I contacted Tony in April and it has been the best decision I have made. For the first time I actually began to enjoy driving and looked forward to the lessons. My confidence is not the best and I struggle under pressure but thanks to Tony's brilliant teaching technique, professionalism and friendliness he had me passed within two months and also first time! Fantastic experience: I learnt to drive with Tony and all I can say is, he is fantastic instructor, he put me at ease as soon after a couple of minutes in the car helping me be able to learn and not worry. He has the patience of a saint, and with hard work you will pass your test with flying colours. Tony makes your lessons fun and enjoyable, if your looking for a driving instructor look no further.

Fantastic experience: In November, I decided to contact Tony to organise some lessons, I can quite honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The kindness and professionalism Tony showed was commendable. Im struggling to put this into words as I enjoyed the lessons so much. Fantastic experience: A true professional, a truly nice guy with masses of integrity, can't thank Tony enough. My son George has been learning to drive with Tony and has just passed his test. I'm not sure who looked the most delighted when they returned from the test centre, George or Tony! And this dedication , professionalism and teaching ability to inspire others have been the measure of Tony and George's journey from the first lesson to the last. I would recommend Tony without reservation and if, like I had been , you are reading reviews from other sites to make your mind up too, then I would wholeheartedly recommend Tony without bias. He's been fabulous. Tony taught my son the skills to drive at a good pace to embed good habits and used his judgement to enable George to progress without putting any pressure on him or being judgemental. My son enjoyed his lessons and built up a good rapport with Tony and think he will genuinely miss him. Definitely his confidence has come on leaps and bounds too as Tony treated him with respect and listened to him. From reading other reviews and drawing on our experience Tony has been an inspiration to George and loads of other people and we couldn't have asked for more. Tony's commitment to getting George through his test was over and beyond anything I expected and he was there for George every step of the way . Some people are born to teach and Tony I think is one of those people. He is truly dedicated to his pupils I think and has excellent communication skills. He has a calm manner and doesn't get flustered , in, let's face it, a "trying " job. Tony has kept me in the loop at all times which I hadn't expected and it seemed like George was our shared interest and not just a client which was nice as everthing is so impersonal these days. Tony has said that he likes to treat others as he likes to be treated himself and he certainly put this into practise with George. Anything you need to know about the the theory test etc and Tony is a font of all knowledge, especially to all of us who took our tests some time ago. She coughs ! A safe pair of hands, a lovely bloke with excellent people skills who thoroughly knows his stuff and won't let you down. I can't say more other than a massive thank you. Fantastic experience: Tony is a fabulous instructor - patient, flexible and kind in his approach. This was really important to me, as I am not the most confident driver. Although I wasn't able to take my test under his instruction, I am certain that the skills he has taught me will ensure that I pass quickly. I would highly recommend Tony to anyone - his methods of teaching allow you to learn all you need to know quickly but thoroughly!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say that even though I wasn't able to take lessons with you because you do not cover my area, your customer service has been the best so far. I've messaged a few instructors in regards to taking back up my lessons and you have been the only one has told me if I have any queries about anything at all to just ask you (which I wound up taking you up on) and even offered to search about and help me look for a good instructor, with most the others I felt less like a paying customer and more like a pest������. Genuine and reliable would have been chuffed to have you as an instructor.
