Fantastic experience: H is a professional instructor with patience but a firm method of teaching. He is very organised, always on time for lessons and good with communication. H took great effort to correct my mistakes and showed confidence in me. I am so grateful for H's help - he put in a lot of work to improve my driving - and remained calm. Thank you for getting me through my test. My twin brother is now benefitting from H's great teaching.

Negative experience: I had to give a 1 star although I really wouldn't give that. Hilario was not a good instructor at all. He let my daughter down 4 weeks before her test, would shout and reduce her to tears and totally knocked all her confidence in driving by belittling her and calling her insensitive names. She previously had lesson in our town but changed drivers due to her being at ARU University in Chelmsford. She done really well with her previous tutor and had loads of experience and confidence. Now she has had to change instructors and has had to postpone her test due to H. I would definitely try and look for a different instructor before settling for Hilario.

Fantastic experience: I had been taught by a number of instructors before, but H's lessons were instantly far better than anything I had had previously. The preparation for my test was excellent and very detailed in terms of what the examiners look for. Fantastic experience: I had only a handful of sessions with Hilario. He's clearly an experienced professional at his job. He knows how to read a driver's personality, identify their strengths and weakness, and give personalised feedback and criticism to help them improve. He did exactly that with me. Fantastic experience: H is an amazing teacher. I have done my license in Poland 10 years ago and didn't touch manual gearbox cars ever since and didn't drive in UK for 5 years. He helped me to get back on the road, pointed out a lot of things to help me drive safe, gave me that boost of confidence i needed. He is a very patient and experienced teacher. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend. H jest bardzo dobrym nauczycielem. Zdałam prawo jazdy 10 lat temu i w Polsce jeździłam tylko z automatyczną skrzynią biegów, a w Anglii w ogóle. H pomógł mi wrócić do normalnej jazdy, dał wiele wskazówek i w końcu nabrałam pewności siebie na drodze. H jest bardzo cierpliwym i doświadczonym nauczycielem. Zdecydowanie warty swojej ceny. Fantastic experience: Take one 50 year old male with no experience of driving, and to be honest very little interest in doing so, mixed with a six month deadline to pass the test to meet new job requirements and that is the challenge that H was set. Well, I can confirm that I successfully passed my driving test first time on Thursday 8th November 2018 and much to my surprise have a growing enthusiasm for motoring. H, this is all down to your meticulous approach to your teaching methods and more importantly getting to know your pupil and what makes them tick. It has been a pleasure to learn with Chelmsford driving school and I would recommend H to all. Happy driving!

Negative experience: Very disappointed, I paid for my daughter's lessons and after the 7th lesson Hilario told her that she wasn't improving and he thought he wasn't the right instructor for her and she should look for someone else to have her lessons, she never drove before that's why I'd rather pay for a professional teach her, but he took her confidence away instead, my daughter was devastated when she walked through my front door, my friend took her for a drive and Hilario didn't even taught her that when she use the brake she needs to use the clutch, she said he never told her about the clutch, waste of money, would never recommend Hilario.

Fantastic experience: I've taken a few lessons with H to get back into driving... after over 10 years (and I passed my exams on the other side of the road)!!! He is really patient and uses different techniques to teach. He also worked with me on my confidence when driving which is what a lot of driving instructors so far didn't even acknowledge. Fantastic experience: H has a great teaching method and does well to iron out any mistakes and issues you have. His experience shows as he prepares you to pass your test in what seems to be the optimum way using his (seriously extensive) knowledge of Chelmsford test routes and driving procedures; be it his wise words or easy going analogies. Negative experience: Website states automatic lessons are taught so I contacted them only to be told they don't teach automatic lessons. Incredibly misleading website however very polite response. I would suggest changing what you offer on the website as it is wrong

Fantastic experience: Having had a previous instructor and not feeling happy with the progression I was making, I decided to look for another teacher and stumbled upon Chelmsford driving school on Facebook, the reviews from Hilario's pupils were very positive! H is a very patient instructor but is also firm and immediately picks up on your faults and weaknesses, even during the first lesson I felt very comfortable behind the wheel! A fantastic teacher, and only after 12 lessons I passed first time! Massive thankyou to H!

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend this driving school to someone who has never driven before. I had never made a car move before I started my lessons with H. He patiently brought me up to speed within a few lessons on how to drive and from there on out it was qucikly and firmly pin pointing my mistakes and stamping them out! Fantastic experience: Chelmsford Driving school was recommended to me by friend, who passed her driving test from first attempt and it was jut after about 11 lessons with H. My personal driving lesson experience was tougher as, at the beginning, I started with different (popular) driving school.. and it didn't gave me any positive experience and I ended up with a lot of wasted time and money UNTIL I met Hilario. I was absolutely thrilled with how well Hilario knows what he is doing. I had plenty of bad habits(from previous driving) that was absolutely unacceptable for such amount of driving hours (over 25).. H. absolutely eradicated every single shortcoming I had as he is intended to work on problem if there is any.I passed my driving test on 23rd of November and I feel incredibly relieved and I can't hide my excitement!!! I find Hilario a very wise, understanding, caring, trustworthy, punctual and absolutely competent instructor. He is the Wizard of the road!! :) Tank you Hilario!!!

Fantastic experience: I didn't give H much time to get me UK test ready having returned to the UK from living overseas however he was able to use strategies which mean't we were able to cover all areas of the test and I was able to pass the test first time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test with H - woo hoo! I took my test years ago and failed with one major. Felt sooo much calmer this time and so much more confident! H really helped to keep my nerves under control and make rational/better decisions. Don't try to distract him from your bad driving with jokes, he will still notice.
