Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend. I was very nervous but Mike was patient and professional throughout. Everything was thoroughly explained in an easy to understand way. Thanks to Mike I managed to pass on my first time with only one minor!

Negative experience: Avoid if you're in any way nervous. They'll tell you one thing on the phone, despite you explaining the situation in detail, book it in even, then the instructor will text and try to upsell you. From £78 to more than £300 in my case. All I wanted was to improve my confidence and reduce anxiety around motorway driving. I already have a licence and when the instructor found out I only wanted short term help (despite my having explained this in my first call) they dropped me like a stone. I really thought I was on my way to improving, but now I'm more anxious than I was to begin with. Not a good experience at all. It's completely messed up my timetable and I've no idea if I'll find anyone else now. The only positive? At least I found out before I got into a car with them! I'd give zero stars if I could. Really poor service.

Negative experience: Had a creepy driving instructor years ago with this school and I still haven’t passed due to the trauma. But hey thanks for the free lesson afterwards to make up for the years of PTSD.

Negative experience: I telephoned to enquire , on behalf of a friend, if they gave refresher lessons to a lady living in Hazel Grove. They couldn't answer my question without her postcode which I didn't know. All I wanted was simply yes or no and I'd have my friend ring them. Totally unhelpful.

Negative experience: I was looking for a short crash course for my daughter, as she can drive and needs some advice & tips from an instructor. As soon as I mentioned the word 'short'...they lady said said sorry and cut me off. Very impolite. The customer service would only have been there had a booked a long course of expensive lessons. Very disappointed

Fantastic experience: Very helpful service straight from the start. After one instructor was unavailable I was rearranged to have a different one. Learning was clear and precise. In different circumstances (without coronavirus) the process would’ve been quicker however I’m happy that they’re a good school to learn with and should be able to get you out on the roads as soon as possible and make you a safe driver. Fantastic experience: In less than 3 months Adrian had taken our 17-year-old son from no practical driving experience to passing first time! Lessons were COVID secure and fitted around his college lessons. Even during the lock down in November Adrian provided us with text help so we knew what areas to work on with Ethan whilst no lessons could take place. Fantastic experience: My Driving Instructor was Coralie, Today I passed my test and it was all due to the support of her professional tuition. Coralie was polite, personal and was able to tailor the learnings to my needs. She used visual practical aids and varied her methods to help me understand Different instructions and manoeuvres. She was always prompt, reliable and reassuring. I highly recommend her as a driving instructor.

Very professional and so so helpful, after cancellations and weeks of waiting to rebook my test which had been cancelled twice due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Fantastic experience: Steve Tickle is the best driving instructor! Managed to pass first time. When I first rang the the team members were very friendly and helpful. Then I had my lessons with Steve who was always calm and had flexible hours. The only downside to passing is that I won't get to drive around with Steve anymore.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed learning to drive with Beverley Slater and my instructor, Stewart. I really liked the approach to teaching which was all about helping me gain skills but then also building my confidence on the roads. Lessons were well paced and enjoyable and Stewart was flexible and happy to adapt lessons if I felt there was an area I wanted to work on more or if I wanted to practise driving on specific routes etc. Stewart was always friendly and relaxed too which definitely helped with nerves pre-test. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to start lessons.

Fantastic experience: I had a busy year completing teacher training while learning to drive! I did not pass first time, but kept at it with support and guidance from my instructor, Adrian. Lessons were always followed up by an emailed feedback form for me to use and work on for the next lesson. Adrian was constructive and patient as I slowly progressed in my driving ability. Passed on a rather rainy Friday afternoon last week with one minor! Huge thanks to Adrian for the tuition, and the Beverly Slater team's professionalism.

Negative experience: BEWARE- Had a terrible experience with this driving school- amateurish system by which all appointments had to be made via text message. The instructor text to cancel driving test and refused to provide car for test a day and half before test date. When raised this with the owner she was rude dismissive and highly unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: When I first started my lessons I thought I’d never pass. My instructor, Steve Tickel, was kind and patient and never made me feel like I was learning too slowing and was happy to go over everything that I struggled with until I was confident enough to pass my test. It has been a fantastic experience learning with him and I know I will be safe and confident driver on the road now I’ve passed.

Negative experience: I have no experience with any driving instructors but I have had to deal with a very rude lady named Lisa on the other end of the phone. I found her sarcastic and impatient and when I sent her an email of complaint she called me back to question my email and said she 'agreed with me' when I suggested she should get a new job. Very rude. Very immature and quite frankly, not great for business

Negative experience: Received a call from Lisa today.. she was unbelievably rude and abrupt wasn't even willing to talk to me about possibility of other option and hung up mid conversation. If this this is how they deal with people on the phone I dread to think how they deal with you in person. Dissaponiting. Stay well clear guys

Fantastic experience: I passed my test today and I cannot recommend Mike enough. Driving doesn't come naturally to me and I only talked myself into taking lessons at the age of 30. I remember on my first lesson the only thing I knew was where the steering wheel was..... But Mike is genuinely one of the most patient, decent and kind human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Even today he had to coax me out of the car into the test centre after a last minute wobble! Mike took the time to get to know what my learning styles were and worked with me to make sure I got lessons at convenient times; as working full time with a young child means there is little time for anything else! If you are looking for a company/instructor who will treat you with respect, understanding and professionalism then they are the people for you. Thank you so much to Beverley Slater, and especially Mike, you have taught me to have confidence in myself and never give up!

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons in Feb 2018 with David and could not be happier. After 17 hours I have passed my test first time and I owe this entirely to David. I would recommend him to everyone. I started off completely hopeless but he knows exactly how to push you without you knowing you’re being pushed. Thank you so bloody much David. :)

Fantastic experience: Wouldn’t have passed my test if it wasn’t for David being very patient and supportive with me. Always made me feel at ease when I was driving around, and despite feeling very nervous he always had full confidence in me which helped build my confidence. Couldn’t have found a better instructor.

Negative experience: I had never used Sat Nav during my driving lessons so when the examiner introduced it on day of driving test it completely threw me. My driving instructor HAD the sat Nav in his car just never turned it on. Needless to say I failed my driving test as it completely threw me. Not happy

Fantastic experience: Yesterday (29/05/2018) after almost 2 years of learning and attempting tests, I finally passed my driving test. Mike was with me every step of the way. From almost driving into a tree on my first lesson and all of the nerves and anxious moments I went through, he was calm, patient and kind. He never gave up on me, even when I wanted to give up out of frustration. I highly recommend Beverly Slater Driver Training as their instructors (especially Mike) take their time to get to know you and support you in something that, let's be honest, for some people can be pretty scary! So, if you are thinking about starting to learn to drive and (like me) are a little apprehensive about starting, have a look at Beverly Slater!

Negative experience: Couldn't comment on the quality of driving instruction but the person I spoke to on the phone wasn't particularly helpful. Apparently they are always fully-booked in the Altrincham area and don't have a waiting list. So unless you're lucky enough to call them at a time where they happen to have a slot you're out of luck...

Fantastic experience: Used Beverly Slater Driver Training recently for a family member from overseas who needed a few lessons before hiring a car here in the UK. Her partner had already had refreshers with another school but the instructor was away on holiday so decided to try a different school. So glad we called Beverly Slater Driver Training the whole experience was great from start to finish, lady in the office could not be more helpful and very knowledgeable too. Instructor was punctual and friendly putting my cousin at ease from the start. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: If I could give this a zero I would. I suspect I have been discriminated against. My appointment was scheduled for 16/12/2017 at 13:00. I phoned to confirm some details and determine where to meet the instructor as my home is difficult to find. The woman in the office was overbearing, continuously interrupted me and finally felt the need to tell me "I don't know if it's because you are American but you are being extremely rude" To which I informed her that I was in fact born in the UK and was only trying to ensure that the instructor was able to find me. She hung up the phone on me, despite me being polite. This call left me shaken and quite disturbed. Please avoid. UPDATE: The person I spoke to was Lisa ( I will withhold her surname). I believe she has a serious attitude problem and is xenophobic. I attempted to contact the Beverly Slater School 7 times after Lisa hung up the phone on me. She blocked my mobile number. I subsequently phoned from my second mobile. During this time, Lisa sent an introductory email with the specifics of my driving lesson? This was after telling me she cancelled my driving lesson. I asked to speak to a manager or the owner of the business. She told me I was barking up the wrong tree. She told me that she never made a remark about my accent less than an hour ago. Lisa told me that I had an attitude about her googling my address - which was not true. This woman is not an asset to the business and should not be interacting with customers. I will be pursuing a complaint because I take xenophobia seriously. UPDATE: Apparently Lisa was Waterfield was using Beverly Slater Driving School to exact revenge on me for complaining and posting a negative review. She confirmed that I had a driving lesson yesterday via email and phone despite telling me she cancelled it. Today I stood outside for 30 minutes waiting for the instructor to arrive or phone - he did not. When I attempted to phone the school from both of my mobile phones, my calls did not go through. My phone numbers appear to be blocked. I have logged a complaint with the DVSA.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test with Tom Snaith @ Beverly Slater! He's a great instructor, very patient and let's you get on with it whilst providing helpful instruction. He's also a lovely guy with a really good sense of humour so I enjoyed every lesson. I'd failed my test twice before I started with Tom but passed first time, with just 3 minors, after 10 hours with him! Would highly recommend to anyone learning to drive. 10/10

Negative experience: The driving instructor can very unprofessionally prepped and dressed and stunk like food! He started making excuses not the come and teach me any longer and was very rude and also like the other review lied about certain things to teach! Lessons weren't cheap either! Rip off!

Fantastic experience: My name is steve And I have been learning to drive with Beverly slater driving school for the past year my instructor is Jenny. I want to praise her and let everyone know what a wonderful instructor they have working for them. I suffer from bad anxieties and many times I wanted to give it up. But this morning I took my driving test and passed with only 1 fault. I am so happy and it's all down to Jenny's calming and beautiful nature. Don't ever let her go. And thanks to you for being an amazing school
