From the get go Angus done an amazing job at making the lessons a calm and enjoyable experience, Angus also adapted to my style of learning - (Albeit without me saying) which is a true testament to the instructor he is as there is no one size fits all learning style. Even when feeling unsure or phased by something, Angus would take the time needed to revisit these areas and also try different methods which I found extremely useful. Angus knows the test routes like the back of his hand, learning with Angus he exposed me to all of these routes and what I may encounter on test day, and this lead to me passing. I could not recommend Angus enough, he is a master of his craft and he truly does take pride in his work. Thank you once again, I could not have done it without you!

He also has videos on his website which I found incredibly useful as they highlighted common mistakes and tips for all the different test routes. I was very nervous at first (and on the test day) but he was always very kind and encouraging which made me feel more confident and definitely helped me to pass my test first time. Fantastic experience: I contacted Angus after losing my confidence with a previous driving instructor, after a consultation lesson Angus put together a plan for my learning and reassured me I was on track for passing my test. Through the following weeks we covered everything I was anxious about to the point that when I got to my test I was actually looking forward to it. I passed first time with one minor -which is a testament to Angus’ teaching. He was calm, friendly and reliable, I could not recommend him more.

Fantastic experience: After two failed tests in Lincoln, Angus helped me pass first time up in Edinburgh (an arguably much more difficult place to drive!) I would really recommend if you’re looking for a driving instructor who can help teach you and build your confidence in driving. He finds the perfect balance between pushing you without overwhelming you, a great pace for learning to drive confidently :) He provides really great resources online as well - check out his YouTube!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Angus enough!! I came to Angus, after a 6 year break from learning to drive. I was very nervous and worried about driving, especially after failing before, but Angus was able to help me pass first time in just two months under his teaching! He was always extremely patient, whilst encouraging me in lessons and always made me feel comfortable to go back over anything that I didn't feel as confident or needed more practice with. I left every lesson always noticing a clear improvement and looking forward to the next. Angus also puts a lot of extra effort into his teachings, with great videos of the all the Currie test routes and helpful instructions to how to tackle all the manoeuvres. Would recommend Angus to everyone learning to drive, coming back to driving or needing a refresher course etc!

Fantastic experience: Coming back to learning to drive after a six year break my confidence wasn't the highest, but Angus was able to get me back up to test standard and I passed on Friday! I failed my test when I was 18 a couple times with a not-so-great instructor, and only decided to start taking lessons again 5 years later. Angus' style of teaching has been really great for me as he helps you to become truly confident on the road, feeling I could master all aspects of driving rather than just barely being test ready in them. Fantastic experience: Passed first time with Angus today, he is such a kind and professional instructor. He always showed up to lessons on time and I always felt like I was making great progress after each one. I started off quite a nervous driver but Angus made me feel very comfortable in the car and was always patient with me, even when I made really silly mistakes. Fantastic experience: Writing this after having passed my test earlier today. From the start I found Angus' approach great - calm, relaxed, patient, and lessons were fun. I first started learning almost 16 years ago, and I had tried a couple of times since but kept getting discouraged and giving up. With Angus I was never close to that. He had a great understanding throughout of what I needed. I highly recommend him to any learners who think they are particularly nervous/anxious as his approach was perfect for me. Just an aside - he is extremely punctual and reliable, I never once had a lesson cancelled.

Being 34, I was nervous to get back to driving after stopping lessons when I was 17 but Angus was great at putting me at ease whilst still making the lessons challenging enough for me to keep improving. He was very flexible with timings so that i could work it round childcare, which was much appreciated. I passed first time and credit that fully to Angus's great teaching. More importantly, I feel confident when driving alone now and can still hear Angus's tips in my head! I would very highly recommend.

Having many years of experience driving automatic cars in the USA and Puerto Rico, I had no clue with a manual transmission and on the other side of the road. Angus was patient, professional, non intimidating and a very clear communicator. Regardless of an extremely busy schedule, he always made space to accommodate me and make the most out of every time we went out. You can just tell he has loads of experience teaching people from a variety of backgrounds and different learning styles. A joy indeed.

Most of all, he's an excellent teacher. He pushes you just hard enough each lesson so you feel like you're making excellent progress, but never too far to be scary or impossibly difficult. I passed my test at the first attempt yesterday - the statistics show that passing in Edinburgh is pretty hard, but Angus definitely helps you best those odds!

Fantastic experience: Angus is a very good driving instructor, I had been driving previously in a rural area and had booked lessons and my test in Edinburgh and at first found it difficult adapting to the style of driving.
