5DAY South London Intensive Driving Courses

Negative experience: This is a complete scam. I have had to report the service to Action Fraud and I would strongly advise all the other reviewers who have been scammed out of money to do the same. After attending my course my course instructor and driving instructor both ‘left the company.’ Following this my emails were ignored for months on end. When they did eventually reply I was told an instructor would contact me. I never received any call from this person who I only found out had mysteriously ‘left the country’ after 6 months and having to ask. Another instructor allegedly called me whilst at work though this person never gave their name or where they were calling from when I answered and asked that they call back later as I was at work. They did not. How can a person take a test after doing all of these prepaid lessons if the instructor and car you learnt in are no longer available? They even had the audacity to try to scam me out of more money by asking me to pay more money for lessons with a new instructor due to the length of time that has elapsed despite this delay of now over one year being entirely their fault and not my own. Why should I fit the bill? Beyond this I have been told over the phone they cannot transfer me to any complaints department because they ‘do not have one.’ They ask people to review after the 5 day course and lessons in a very forceful manner prior to getting a pass. This company are extremely shady and I would highly recommend that anyone avoid using this service and take their money to a reputable local instructor.

Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL EXPERIENCE WITH A LEACH OF AN INSTRUCTOR WHO INTIMIDATED A VULNERABLE GIRL WHILST MAKING HER SEVERELY UNCOMFORTABLE DURING ENTIRE COURSE. I am now having to take the company to court because I have had to have medical assistance and legal assistance in getting something done. DO NOT USE

Negative experience: Tried to SCAM me out of £1233. Lied on the phone about me confirming a date with the email form and then refused to give me a course date. Kept getting passed around their local and national customer service and sales lines (of which they all have conflicting stories of why the can't give me the course I paid for). Then after a week they just went cold on me and KEPT THE MONEY! Once they have your money good luck getting anything from them, and expect lots of lying to scam you! Managed to reverse the charges with the credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. My experience is with 5DAY South London (of which customer service is managed by 5DAY nationally so putting this review across all their major 5DAY courses so everyone can avoid these horrible, horrible people!).

Negative experience: Do not use this company to learn how to drive as you won’t get far. Myself and all of my classmates I did this course with have been left without tests or passing four months after the course. They do not organise a test for you, they do not ensure you are driving within 5 days like advertised, their customer service is absolutely horrendous. They are generally ripping people off and getting away with it due to small print. There are plenty of other places that offer a pass within 5 days just not this place. Please do not waste your money here there is no chance of getting it back. I really regret spending my money here I’ve had to book more lessons else where as the quality of the lessons were really poor. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Positive experience: A tough but very well-structured and rewarding course where you will learn a lot in a short space of time. I wasn't quite ready for my practical by the end of the five days, so decided with my instructor that I would continue doing lessons with them until I was ready. Unfortunately, in the days and weeks that followed my instructor failed to follow up with me, so I have had to look for another driving school where I can continue my lessons.

Fantastic experience: I did manage to pass thanks to my amazing instructor Ceri. The guys are good and experienced at 5days. Without any previous experience I did pass theory and needed around 6 extra lessons with my instructor to pass the practical. Only thing to note that it is a hard course where you do drive around 4hrs a day. But if you want to get your licence done quick thanks to fast track it is a worthwhile investment.

Passed my theory this week & already have my driving test booked for next week. So much more supportive and faster than booking alone! I've had such a fantastic experience with 5Day and will definitely be recommending it to all of my friends who are looking to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: I took the 5Day course just over two years ago, at the ripe old age of 37 and can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Finally being able to drive has changed my life in so many ways that I could have never predicted. The classroom instructor was great, he explained everything very clearly, and Gary was the nicest, most competent driving instructor anyone could have wished for. Thank you 5Day!

Positive experience: I enjoyed the school and the instructor was brilliant. The only let down was that Since the 5day course ended I was just left to float about. I basically paid 1000 for 20hours of driving. I am now having to search for other instructors. This has made the process difficult for me, waste of money especially if you already have you theory test. Better off paying 500 for 20hours of lessons. Poor company to customer relationship but the people that you learn with are nice so the 3 stars are for you.

Fantastic experience: Can't fault them. I made pretty amazing progress in the 5 days. I still needed the instruction I had beforehand with my mum (25 hrs approx) but I got near perfect scores on the theory and the instructor was very flexible too.

Fantastic experience: 5 DAY Sutton is the best school to start with if you a driver with a little experience, its an amazing intensive course with such a friendly management (thank you Martin) and driving instructors who fits around your weaknesses and works together towards a great help and successful achievement. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to pass their theory and practical. I took extra lessons with Nigel so I can improve my driving better as I enjoy his approach towards teaching.

Negative experience: My Son has been learning with Ms E Gatyasova. I'm sorry for you if you are taking lessons with her and watch out for your test dates. She is unreliable and unprofessional. He had been taking several lessons with her and I took him out to drive with me one day and was shocked that he didn't even know the basic of mirror signal manoeuvre. He is still trying to pass a test on one occasion she turned up with a brand new car that he had never driven for his test. Of course he failed and the errors were all linked with being unfamiliar with the car. He had Another test booked for yesterday at 08:10. He had a driving lesson with her the day before, gave her cash for the fee for using the car. Ms Gatyasova did not turn up to take him. My son tried calling her several times but her phone was switched off. When he finally heard from her around 09:15 the excuse was that she forgot to set her alarm. Not good enough. Paying back the money and reimbursing him for the test cannot take away the disappointment and upset caused. Get rid of her, she is not good for your company.

Fantastic experience: As a person who was nervous about driving, I found 5day a great place to learn. Martyn teaches theory in a really fun way and has plenty of little tips to help remember important information. My instructor Denis was very patient and calm with me and really pushed me when I needed it, thanks for that! I was just shy of being test ready at the end of the week having never driven before and I passed my theory easily. Great fun, would recommend!

Negative experience: terrible just after your money no after sales care avoid their website is a con i paid for my wife but they not willing to talk to me now martin will find excusse for everything well she failed first time and since then they left her hanging dry yes corrective lesson was done after she failed but she still not ready to go to another test then why they just did one hour cerrction lesson if that false promeses con school just after the cash i would stay clear from them not happy whatsoever with how they treated me the one teacher slagging of their collegue shows me how serious they are so according to one teacher my wife was told by not so very good teacher because other teachers were on holidays and very busy lets see what martin has to say they put students in end of corse to put review without even giving them a choice to say no terrible tactiks

Negative experience: On second thinking I don't believe whether the 5 Day course was properly worth it. You are essentially paying a lot of money for 20 Driving Lessons accompanied with a Theory Test and a Practical Test. There is no guarantee you'll be ready for the test and I don't know how ready I am for the future.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the progress I've made over the course duration. The theory lessons were very informative and my instructor lead me through driving in a calm and friendly manner.

As a foreigner student I wasn't used to UK regulations and laws but the combination of theory classes and the instructor expertise on the street helped me to achieve my full driving License on no time. Fantastic experience: I was nowhere near ready to learn to drive when I turned up to 5 day... as a nervous learner with no experience in a car and anxiety issues I wasn't 100% sure I would be able to even get behind the wheel! After the second day I was a lot more comfortable, this place really catered to my needs and understood my anxiety and how to best deal with me... I've just finished the course and passed the theory test yesterday only getting 1 question wrong!!! An amazing achievement for me as usually I crumble under a test atmosphere. After a week of driving I've driven to all sorts of places comfortably and confidently - even in this extreme weather! Whilst I would like a little more practice before sitting the main test, I feel I have gained a great load of confidence at 5 day and feel like driving is a real possibility for me now. Fantastic experience: The management was trully awesome. I came to this course with prior driving experience and I honestly thought I would find everything easy. I was wrong. This course truly challenges all your driving skills in every aspect. But overall, it really shaped me in the right direction. David my instructor was very good at showing me my faults and pushing me to overcome them. Through out the 5 day he became a great friend. Fantastic experience: It's intense but it's worth it this is just covering the initial course and not based on my actual practical test but the resources and the setting that they teach you in is absolutely perfect for learners with a bit of experience under their wing 5-day will help you fly. The theory trainer was perfect with hes approach to teaching and the schedule for each day enabled me to get to grips with driving extremely quickly within 5 days u can go from zero to hero. Positive experience: This is a fair and honest review This really is intensive. My brains felt fried at the end of each day. You will learn a lot from this course. The people where fantastic. Both students and teachers. Wide range of students of all ages. The theory- The lessons are delivered by the manager Martian who is polite, friendly and a really good communicator. Great all round teacher. You will be taught the theory in a classroom environment, with some mock theory tests added in and some homework to do at the end of the day. The system I felt worked well as i felt really confident of passing come theory test day (probably a little over confident) which was 4 days from starting the course. I passed. yay. The practical- I felt i was real lucky with my driving instructor. Great all round guy. Felt like his teaching style clicked with me. learnt allot. 4 hours of driving a day with a 30 min break in between (4 hours is enough and you do need the break)! Unfortunately i did not reach test standard during the week. i'm not disappointed as i am now more confident and feel i have learnt allot. A great strong base to work from. I feel personally i will need roughly 10 more hours in order to pass a test. conclusion- A great all round enjoyable experience. one of the only companies out there that combine the theory and practical sides of driving together. I would highly recommend this course if you can afford it. whilst i wasn't up to test standard many students where. I give a 4 out of 5 because i personally think it is a bit pricey. would i do this course again if i could turn back time. yes.

Graham my instructor was knowledgeable and adapted his teaching methods to suit my learning style. I had 15 hours worth of lesson 4 years ago but after just 5 days I have booked my Practical test as I feel confident in my ability to pass. Would 100% recommend to book here!!

Fantastic experience: 5Day is a great way to quickly get your driving license. Passed my theory first time just like everyone else in the classroom. Everyone is really kind including all the instructors and they make sure that you can reach your full potential. Although it is only one week we get a lot of driving hours which allows us to quickly progress in terms of the driving. If at the end of the week you still do not feel ready for the practical 5Day make sure that you get extra lessons or that you have the support needed to pass!

Negative experience: While some people might be able to pass in 1 week through their system, I think it's dangerous to allow a new driver on the road after 20 hours of driving, even if they passed the test. The fact that they might pass the test might even make them feel unduly confident of their driving ability. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, but if I had the opportunity of doing it all again, I'd hire a driver instructor per hour, do 40 hours of practice (at least), and it should all come at least 40% cheaper than this course's fees. For the course's money you can (I think) take 60 hours of driving practice and still have some money left.... With hindsight, although they can make you pass the first time with 20 hours of practice, I think anyone passing the test should take more practice lessons and not rush with excitment behind a wheel... If you're in a rush, you MIGHT be able to pass the test the first time, otherwise, go through the usual route... If I was asked by somebody I cared about if they should take this course, I would tell them no
