Fantastic experience: Took the 4 day intensive to prepare for the test. Breaking old habits of a 30+ year driver was no small achievement. Nigel was persistent and successful. Test passed and I am now genuinely a better driver. It wasn’t easy though and I was impressed by Nigel’s ability to maintain the intensity. Delivering the result, what more can you ask?

Fantastic experience: Totally recommend ABC driving school been learning for 18 years and had 2 driving instructors before and gave up as I couldn't do it but my husband did his research and ABC driving school was the only one that benefited me and I started a driving course with ABC driving school and I now have a full driving licence. I couldn't of done it without ABC driving school they have so much patience, friendly and make you feel comfortable while learning all the staff are amazing Lisa and Nigel are absolutely amazing people and I would recommend ABC driving school to anyone and when my children are at the age to learn to drive they will definitely be going with ABC driving school

Fantastic experience: I completed a 4-day intensive automatic driving course with ABC Driving School. My initial assessment made it clear what areas I needed to work on and set me up well moving forward. My 4 days were well structured to ensure that I was working on the areas I was finding challenging and set me up very well for my test, which I passed first time. Nigel was a very attentive instructor and was clearly able to pinpoint my strengths and weaknesses, and assist me to succeed. I would highly recommend for anyone interest in completed an intensive course.

Fantastic experience: Strongly recommend ABC Driving School for intensive driving courses! I was a complete beginner and did 50 hours of lessons over 8 days. I went from never sitting behind the wheel of a car to passing first time. I did my 8-day intensive course in February 2024. I had a test booked in on the last day which was unfortunately cancelled by the test centre due to examiner unavailability. Nigel got straight on looking for a new test for me. As I was busy for a few months, I ended up doing my test in May 2024. I scheduled a day of driving with Nigel to reassess my driving after a few months off with some private practice. Nigel confirmed I was ready for my test and started looking. The very next day, I received a call at 6:15am in the morning telling me there was a cancellation at 8:10am and I could take the test that day! Passed first time with just three minors thanks to the incredible training provided by Nigel. I am now very confident in my driving ability and manoeuvres. My progress was tracked throughout in a professional way which allowed me to identify and work on my weaker areas. So pleased I decided to do an intensive course with ABC and would recommend it to anyone who needs to pass quickly or thinks they would benefit from learning it all in a short period of time. With massive delays getting driving tests across the country, it is reassuring to know the instructors at ABC are constantly checking for cancellations to get you booked in as soon as possible. I also met Lisa, one of the other instructors, a few times and she seemed lovely! Thank you Nigel!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely phenomenonal driving course. All pre and post course admin conducted with Nigel who was informative, and I had Lisa as an instructor for the duration. Other than a couple of days driving abroad 7 years ago, I was for all intents and purposes a completely beginner driver and somewhat apprehensive being a bit older than many learners, and being a totally alien environment to me. Over the course of 45 hours Lisa took me from beginner to a first-time test Pass with only 3 minors! The duration of each day is just right at about 6hrs with a couple of brew stops thrown in. Learning on an intensive course can be a bit tiring if you don't plan your rest adequately, but in my opinion was the best way to do it as it meant a lot of time getting familiar with the feel of the car, and gave us enough time to go and repeat things that hadn't gone so well, so they were successfully completed by the end of each day. I liked Lisa's teaching style in that, within safe boundaries, she pushed me to repeat things when I struggled with them and overcome issues. For example tricky, busy roundabouts or merging onto dual carriageways, driving through areas with multiple changing speed limits etc. All were intimidating and difficult the first time, mistakes were made, so we'd stop for a quick breather or coffee and go right back into them until they felt comfortable. At the start of the course we were mega chatty and obviously required a lot of tuition, but by the last few days Lisa aimed to not give me many prompts or tips which encouraged my confidence in being able to drive independently. The Mock Test on the last day was also helpful. I actually 'failed' the Mock but the things I failed on were all errors I hadn't made before, and was able to identify, so didn't unnerve me and we spoke about them to make sure I knew where I'd gone wrong. It meant by Test Day I somehow wasn't even particularly nervous, other than the usual nerves to be expected, because I knew I had a Pass standard of driving in me thanks to Lisa and ABC. I'd fully recommend ABC to anyone looking to learn and can't thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Mark was phenomenal! What a great instructor, a giant of a man and a man of very few words (which is a good thing/sign you’re doing the right thing), otherwise his instructions and explanations are clear and extremely efficient, making learning feel sooo easy, which in return, settles the nerves and instills confidence! On ABC, I can say that although it may seem expensive, it was (at least for me) totally worth it! I failed my 1st, they got me another test 4 wks later with 3hrs practice beforehand for a reasonable price (yes I passed at the 2nd attempt!) The person of contact via their website is Nigel, I met him on my 2nd attempt and he was a very amiable and extremely competent instructor and was very patient, diligent and understanding! The only “negative” I’d have is that his email etiquette maybe isn’t the greatest, but please don’t let that put you off using this driving school as I’m sure they’ll get you through the test!

(I had a few) come test day I only picked up 3 minors. The company were in constant contact with me & thank you to Nigel who I believe deals with the Email side of things. I can't thank Lisa enough for her patience and warmth throughout, coming from 10 years of driving experience and as nervous as they come, Lisa made me feel confident and got me up to driving standard with a lovely calm manner and as patient as they come. Negative experience: Well I did remove my initial review of ABC in an attempt to keep the peace if you will but considering the petulant response from the most unprofessional company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with I’ll be re reviewing. Extremely overpriced. Extremely unprofessional. Completely unable to take any criticism or questioning of their methods to the point that they’ll refuse to take your business anymore if you do. I’ve not met him personally but from the correspondence emails he sent my partner Nigel is rather condescending and very unreasonable. I could go on but for those reading this I’d recommend trying somewhere else first.

Fantastic experience: When booking my intensive course with Nigel, he was very quick to reply and helpful with answering any questions I had. On the week of the intensive I was particularly a very anxious driver and had some bad previous experiences. Nigel was very accommodating to this and changed his teaching technique to meet my requirements. He is very calm, patient and is very genuine. Nigel always knew when I needed some to stop and take a breather, always told me what was going to happen and never left me feeling alone or distressed. My mock test was with a different instructor, Lisa (also part of ABC), she was also extremely calm and helpful. I would say this company have an extremely high standard of teachers who are broad minded, knowledgeable and provide a good professional service.

Fantastic experience: Huge huge thanks to Nigel for helping get me up to a level where I was able to pass my driving test first time. Only three driver faults (one on the road). I am absolutely delighted!! I did a one week intensive course and I cannot rate the course or Nigel highly enough. When I arrived he managed to quickly assess all the areas I needed to work on (a lot!) and we worked together to improve all areas. It’s a beautiful part of the world and we passed the days by with hard work and a lot of laughs. I met and saw quite a few people with the driving school with first time passes, which is pretty unheard of with the standards required. I will be recommending to everyone. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Nigel at ABC was very helpful and had to work hard to get me a pass. I did a 36 hour intensive course which didn't work out. DVSA canceled my test booked for the friday at the end of the course but Nigel somehow managed to find me a replacment test on the saturday! I ended up failing that first test but on the way home Nigel managed to book me back in for more hours and a test less than a month later which is frankly incredible due to the current waiting times. I came back up to Llandudno and managed to pass! Thanks to Nigel, Paul and Mark for fitting me in where they could.

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend Lisa enough as a driving instructor. She put me fully at ease, and made what has been in the past very very stressful something far less stressful. I did the Rhyl test route and passed despite previously being a nervous wreck. I can fully recommend lisa to anyone who is a nervous driver - she is patient and a lovely person to spend time with for those extended periods of intense learning and driving. I passed in Rhyl on 27th and just a week or so later have been driving on my own with confidence from Liverpool to Wales and back with work. Couldn't have managed it without your skills! Fantastic experience: ABC Llandudno delivered far more than I could have imagined! I took the 36 hour course and was lucky enough to have Matt as my instructor. He was patient but put me in situations where I'd learn and grow and not just be ready for the test, but be ready to drive on the roads with confidence. Matt, you really made the experience! The tour of North Wales was a huge bonus. This option is far from cheap, but I could not recommend it more in terms of learning and results. Thank you ABC.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test yesterday after a 20hr course with Matt. We both agreed that I could of done with a few more hours but I was prepared enough for the test and passed it with 4 minors. A great experience overall and can’t recommend Matt enough!

Negative experience: I could write an essay on this but I’ll keep it short. I took an intensive ‘one week’ course and it was dragged out 3 weeks despite me asking for it as intense as possible. I don’t know how they can legally market it as an intense course. Unfortunately my test was cancelled due to a national lockdown in-forced the day before my test and when I asked to take the test 3 months later after restrictions finally allowed, I was quoted another 20 lessons (at this point I had already taken 42!) The course cost over £1000, about £30 an hour and I spent a lot of my paid time sat in the Bangor driving center car park (whilst Lisa watched competitors. We would sit here for anywhere between 15-45minutes a session with no heating on in the cold car). We also spent a lot of time in Asda car park where Lisa bought and ate her lunch whilst I sat there and watched the clock. Bare in mind some of these sessions were 3.5 hours so I had eaten prior. It was extremely unprofessional and Lisa should’ve scheduled in her lunch when it was not on someone else’s paid time. They also wouldn’t provide a sat nav until the morning of my due test, this was infuriating and made me lack confidence. I think it was laziness as I had expressed concern about me never using one whilst driving before. I have held off writing a review as I don’t like to dwell on negative experiences however a friend asked me about my driving and encouraged me to write this review. I felt like I was taken advantage of by the couple and was treated like a child (despite being 24!). I did not carry out the additional 20 lessons and ABC actually kept the cost of the driving test which Bangor had refunded them for. Would strongly advise against learning with this couple and one of my biggest regrets is using their service.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend ABC Driving School Llandudno enough. I completed a 35-hour course in one week and have just passed my test on the first attempt! As I had limited time available, I was delighted with how professionally and efficiently they dealt with my request. The organisation of the course and test was quick and hassle-free and the entire process ran smoothly and reliably from start to finish. Lisa, my instructor, is clear, patient and encouraging. She quickly identified, focused in and ironed out my faults and by the end of the week, my confidence and ability had improved significantly. This was exactly what I needed and I am delighted with the service I received. Thank you so much! I couldn't have done it without you!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely top notch. Took me from zero to hero in just over a week. From no confidence to full of confidence to tackle country roads and dual carriageways as well as mastering the other essential skills necessary for test day and beyond. Llandudno is a great place to detach and focus on job at hand. I was blessed with a very firm but also very fair instructor. We got on very well and the guidance provided was always appropriate and key to getting up that learning curve. I also now know exactly where to go for the best bacon baps in the Conwy region! Summary: Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My son did a 3 day pre-test course and the instructor was brilliant and really helped with the manouvers and with being test ready. The arrangements were all done by Nigel and clearly communicated and everything was efficient. The cost was reasonable, the service was first class and I would recommend ABC to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Wanting to get my B+E Trailer License, I got in touch with Nigel at ABC Driving. Right from the initial phone call, Nigel was great, answering all my questions and queries. My lessons took place over 3 days with the test following my final lesson, equating to 10 hours in total. Throughout our sessions Nigel was brilliant, putting me at ease, getting rid of some bad habits, making the lessons enjoyable yet challenging all whilst having great chat. I was fortunate enough to pass my B+E first time and I wouldn't have done it without Nigel's tutoring.
